- Jason & the Scorchers performs "White Lies" live at the Farm Aid concert in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1986. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Most under rated band from the 80's. The real deal.
them and the Georgia Satellites who they toured with back then
Terribly underrated
Warner Hodges is a monster.
One of my all time favorite bands! They played Atlanta and Athens a bunch (must have seen 8-9 times). Saw them open for Cheap Trick at Six Flags. Was watching Cheap Trick (another all time favorite band) from the back. Jason was at the very back, alone watching the band. Said Cheap Trick was also one of his all time favorite bands. Jason and The Scorchers deserved far more attention especially given how hard they worked. All the very best to Jason and Warner!!
Saw them in 86' my ears are still ringing
I was actually at this concert. Lots of awesome performances that day, but Jason and the guys brought down the house.
How many songs did they play?
Saw these guys perform at West Fest (Palmer Fest?) at Ohio University around the same time - 86 or 87. Awesome show. The guitarist fell OFF the stage while spinning, landed on a chair, stood up, and kept fuckin' going. Great show.
That's the great Warner Hodges. The man is a force of nature.
I belive Jason about blew his voice on this one Bless his heart great guy and person
I'd love to see Jason and the boys at a live event - Jason's such a great showman and the band is tight and I love their country/punk sound,
Perry Baggs on drums!!! 🥁 Sweet friend. ❤
Some day thousands of years from now this Shit is going to be dug up and put on display in a museum with a sign that says ROCK AND FUCKIN ROLL!!
It`s still fuckin`rock and roll to me. Blistering and great.
I was there! Man, what a great show!
I wish I had been there.
Saw them play once at Rites of Spring at Vandy in '82ish and in Spring '87 at The Longhorn in Dallas with the Georgia Satellites. They brought it every show, like one long hard driving Eddie Cochran medley. Very hard working band.
Great performance. Nice to see Warner wearing an Exit/In tee. Still a great music venue in Nashville.
This is great......I mean just freakin' great!
So unique when you look back at the 80s...
As a British guy the people here av never heard of this band-im 56yrs now and we still play Scorchers music-still spreading the word -shame we all get old eh.
i`m british and not only have i heard of them, i`ve seen em twice, once at Leeds New Rocoe and once at Keighley new variety club, i think jason is a friend of johnny gow..
Legends!
Defines the reason I love rock and roll!
Hodges is a beast.
JAT(N)S performing White Lies on Conan is still one of the greatest late night show performances of all time
I was there and it was hot as F**k!
Hot, hot, hot 80’s band.
I was here. The acid was very good.
Scorchers says it all!
Muy buena banda, loco. Del rocanrol q me gusta!
Great band, man. Just the soubd, the american sound. The south east s my dreamland. The sea Islands.
Also the Lakes (MI and WIS) and ID
Now that's how you command a crowd!
Thanks a lot !
Warner hodges is off the hook so underated it isn't funny .great band.
That's the truth! Couldn't agree more!
These are one of the bands I'm not sure if I saw them live or not.
