Malaysia is known for its diversity, which makes it a popular destination for tourists . and this the very reason i fell in love with it .take care wherever you're
There are two types of 7-11 here in Malaysia, well in KL at least (I'm pretty sure in Penang too). There is the standard one and the ones with a cafe which is what I think is similar to what you find in Thailand. 7-11 has embarked on a major rebranding exercise of late and the cafe concept is part of the exercise. There are several just around my hood. They were losing out to many homegrown local brands incl the ones from Korea and Japan (CU, Family Mart etc) which is fast gaining in popularity that offers a whole lot more hence the upgrades to stay relevant. They are still by far the largest chain though.
Oh wow, that’s awesome. The major difference for me is the cafe part of them. In Thailand I was able to get a freshly made iced cappuccino and toasted breakfast sandwich every morning. 7-11 has a special place in my heart, because they are the same in Los Angeles where I lived 😅
The strict law especially religious law aka syariah only imposed on malay / muslim. So the rest ( non muslim ) shouldn't be worried about. The strict punishment for crime / drugs maybe lil bit harsh compared in the west, but as long as you clean n respect the law, you should be fine.
Exactly! Even if I agree, or disagree with some punishments...the law makes Malaysia a very very safe, and pleasant country to visit. I felt so safe, everywhere I went!
Welcome to our beautiful Muslim country🇲🇾🙌🏼. I saw your tiktok about the adzan 😂 damn the comments is really brutal💀. Malays is majority here in Malaysia and 99% Malays are Muslim. Welcome to Malay Archipelago. You’ll see malays in brunei🇧🇳, indonesia🇮🇩,Singapore and in Philippines 🇵🇭,We’re very tolerant, that’s why you’ll se Chinese and Indian live side by side with the malays, and they can practice their religion peacefully in malaysia. Only one thing you can trigger the Malays, if you kind of disrespect their religion or the adzan. Other than that, they will treat you like brothers and sisters 😂
Thank you so much for your kind words! The only negativity I saw was online 😂. All the Malay people I meet in person are incredibly nice, and so so helpful. Malaysia is a beautiful country and so diverse from what I see. Georgetown has my heart for sure 🇲🇾💛
@@DomaDoesIt yes very diverse, just want to put it out there. Because too many fake western media towards islam. All the kings is Muslim in malaysia and the prime minister must be Muslim too. So yes malaysia is a perfect example for that, enjoy Malaysia!! 😉🙌🏼 don’t forget to visit mosque in malaysia and learn about the religion too!
when you reach KL you must go to Kg Bharu there is we call food heaven n if you love burger please find Burger Bos at Jalan Alor at Bukit Bintang. you will love it
The 7 Eleven in Malaysia just can't compete with all the street vendors and coffee shop foods taste or price wise. Hence, they're not as well stocked up as their Thai or Japanese counterparts. 😅😂👌
You may also visit Bukit Tinggi Pahang..about 45 minutes from KL.located in a highland of cool..fresh tropical rain forest..but besides the highway. A perfect for rest..and..the buildings are all almost the same architecture like in France..try it
where are you from Doma? I assume the US from the accent. Hope you have a good time here! Have fun and go out of the city as well, we have many beaches and national parks. Also it's funny that you get to be an unofficial photographer 😂
In the 80sand 70s, malaysian students went to usa for tertiary education but were asked...do u live in trees or wooden huts? They never heard of malaysia. We never live on trees.
Haha exactly what happened to me. In my senior year (1979) in a michigan high school, my sociology teacher had me read the opening sentences of the chapter on people in the tropics. Can't recall the exact words but it was something like. 'people in the tropics don't place emphasis on what they wear or where they live, as long as they have food and shelter'. I shut the text book and proceeded to imitate orange utan sounds and movements! So crazy
On the contrary, the americans now mostly have professionals building tree houses for them. 🤣🤣🤣 Now they know how fantastic it is living on tree tops. 😂
sorry about your travel from Phuket to Malaysia going worst and bad situation, anyway welcome to our place. they not even ask what your religion is... the world should be like this.
Exactly! I think it is beautiful when people come together, smile, and sing together. In those moments, nothing else matters.
We dont ask people what their religion is, but if they sell food or place to stay we will as if it is halal or muslim friendly .
What a wonderful coverage ! Keep up the great work.
