Several years ago and several years after Gwen had gone solo, i was at work singing to my self outloud a bit of Spiderwebs. A much younger employee asked what i was signing. I asked "you've never heard of No Doubt?" The reply was "Oh them. I heard a No Doubt song once. The singer sounded too much like she was trying to be Gwen Stefani". I was speechless.
Fantastic video Adam, we really appreciate the amount of research you must put into these vlogs, your footage is always unique and informative; great for us in the UK to see the places you visit and get your insight on them. The classic cars at the end were a nice bonus. Thanks for sharing and keep well.
In ‘95 my friend and I were at Disneyland and it was a grad night. It was around 5 pm or so and the park was getting ready to close for the general public and we procrastinated leaving as we were watching a band warm up in front of Its a Small World. We even chit-chatted with the band in between songs. A few months later, we were listening to the radio and Spiderwebs was playing. My friend and I looked at each other astonished. We knew we had heard that song before and it donned on us that this was the band we watched warming up for grad night.
Huge ND fan here. Had the pleasure of seeing them live numerous times when they were together. Loved the moment of silence for John. Very tastefully done. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
This adventure cheered me up on my quarantine birthday celebration today. Have my wife and kids, but I would have been at Disney with them today. Love to you all!
I've watched this whole video twice! This opened a No Doubt rabbit hole for me and I learned so many new things that I never knew! I plan to visit all these spots in a few days to experience them myself! Thank you Adam!
I'm a HUGE No Doubt/Gwen fan! This is awesome and hope she gets this in her recommendations but she's watching RUclips like the rest of us in quarantine haha
My cousins grew up in Anaheim in the 80s and were really close with Gwen and the band. I met and hung out Tony Kanal a few times through my cousin. I went to Tony's house once after having breakfast with Tony and my cousin in Silverlake. I still have the Fred Perry zip-up he gave me that morning. Really nice guy.
Adam you did an excellent job of telling the story of No Doubt. This has special meaning to me in several ways. First off i am an old Classic Rock fan but for some reason No Doubt really hooked me. I thought they were one if not the best bands of the nineties era. Also i lived in Orange County for years & all those cities are so familiar. But what was so ironic was i loved Don't Speak & knew the meaning for Gwen but although I loved the song it gave me mixed feelings. Reason being that i too was going through a breakout with my Ex wife. But i will always love the song & the band.
Fun vlog Adam! Some interesting facts! What cool cars/trucks, classicssssssssssssssssssssssssss for sure!!!! Thanks for taking us along and sharing!!!!

Very interesting and informative. Didn’t know anything about the band. Love seeing classic vehicles. Enjoying riding along with you on these beautiful outdoor adventures. Stay safe.
Adam your videos are nothing short of awesome. Little stuff...like the nod to John Spence....makes them so much greater and shows your true character as a good-hearted person. From a huge No Doubt fan....thanks a million!
This is the best thing i have seen in a long time. The bike tour adds so much and though I have seen the Beakin street house I learned a lot about ND i never knew before. Thanks again Mr. Woo.
Great video! I knew the band was from Anaheim and always wondered from what specific area. My daughter attended school just south on Citron St. from the Market. Very cool.👍
Thank you so much for posting this! No Doubt probably is the band that is most sentimental to me. I need to do this tour myself whenever I get back out to California.
I did it this morning, it was an awesome experience driving around the neighborhood listening to the hit songs they created there! Must do it when you come back!
Hi Adam the woo‼️ this was a good video.even though I'm not A Gwen stafani fan. It was good to see some new things. So thank you for sharing this with me (us) have a great day ‼️😃 🖐️👍 😃.
Being from OC I have many ties to ND and the various locations we would go watch bands play. Thanks Adam, seeing this video brought back memories from an era I miss. Look up Gwen's brother and what he does now or at least did after leaving the band
Great video as always! You're my new virtual friend Adam! It's cool to feel like I'm riding around and seeing the sights in socal! Love all the cool history tidbits and interesting facts you provide 👍
In the early 1970s, when Gwen and Eric were younger, they lived on Vine St. just off of Lincoln Ave in Anaheim. I know this because we lived next door to them.
I'm in the flooring biz and when I installed as a helper at a carpet store called Mooney carpets, Gwen's uncle was the warehouse guy and I could remember going in on a Saturday morning and there was band equipment in there and he told us they practiced/ jammed there at night sometimes. He would brag about them saying they'll be big someday. Of course I didn't know what was to become later. This was back in 88-89
@@7viewerlogic670 - thanks 🙂 . All true. One of my high school friends remembers gwynn also working at a frozen yogurt shop off Lincoln and Gilbert in Anaheim.

I knew Gwen, and my sister knew Eric. We lived a few blocks away and went to the same schools. Gwen knew my name but we weren't friends, nor did we really hang out. BUT, she used to sometimes eat lunch in the Loara High School choir room and I always did, so we'd say hi to each other and maybe chat a little from time to time. My sister still talks to Eric on Facebook. Just thought I'd share -- I'm not expecting anyone to really care or anything. But man, it was cool seeing the old neighborhood again! Maybe when all this virus stuff becomes stabilized I'll head down there and reminisce.

Gwen's grandfather used to work as a security guard at Knott's Berry Farm. One of the nicest persons I've ever met.
He was an usher at our Church, St Boniface.
What was his name?
