Hi everyone! This is part 2 of the two-part "draw with me video" where we're working on a traditional commission! In this one, we're inking the pencil drawing to submit to my client for final approval!
My client requested to reference two of her jewellery pieces designed by the artist Abycraft.

Hi! I got them at a local store in my town. They are no-brand so they were really cheap (like 30€). I was about the pick a similar one by Rayban but at the last second the employee showed me these! I saved like 100€ 🪦

Ma fai un riscaldamento a parte prima di cominciare a inchiostrare? Quando ti ho visto partire dalla curva della luna (che è praticamente la curva più "critica") ho pensato sinceramente che io non l'avrei mai fatto: avrei cominciato dalle nuvole (solo contorno) o da qualcosa di più piccolo, tanto per scaldarmi un po'. Ammiro il coraggio!
Sto ancora cercando di capire come fai ad usare così tanti segni ma, al tempo stesso, a risultare così fresca. Penso che sia dovuto al fatto che semplifichi i toni, con un approccio quasi duotonale: molti segni, quasi nero vs assenza (quasi) di segni bianco. Mi piacerebbe sapere il tuo punto di vista. Comunque è l'arco di volta del tuo stile imho (la freschezza intendo)

Ciao Davide! Grazie mille per i complimenti! Non faccio alcun riscaldamento ma tendo sempre a essere già scaldata perché scrivo un sacco la mattina. Minimo 3 pagine di quaderno quasi ogni singolo giorno. Quindi quando arriva il momento di disegnare sono abbastanza pronta. Poi magari qui non sembra ma rispetto ai miei ritmi veloci qui me la sono presa molto con calma, e la lentezza aiuta tantissimo a non stancare la mano :) Molto presto farò un video proprio su come lavoro con i valori tonali e bilancio i bianchi e i neri!
