The very first song I heard Morissette sing is this song. Heard it over my brother's car and he'd been following this singer for 2 years. I said: wait, who's this singer??? The rest is history. Been listening to her daily for over 4 years now. At that point, I was just scratching the surface on Morissette's talent. I've never seen or heard anything like her! And yes, been shaking my head daily ever since.

One has a band and does heavy metal, another one is a school principal, the other was just like me, rock. We were astonished how similar we are, hooked to this girl. Of course, we've had episodes of our jealous wives but that's another story for another day! Haha
If this was not deleted by YT, this would have been the most viewed video from Wish bus and higher than her "94million Secret Love Song cover". Good thing that lots of copies are still available for us to witness. 🥰

I have never heard a singer as good and versatile as Mori.
I suggest you also watch her Acapella version of Rise Up which is more emotional.
Word has it that she was sick during this session but like the trooper that she is, she went ahead and did this phenomenal performance anyway.
You can actually hear the difference in her voice, a bit more nasal and raspy. I actually like it a lot!
Many singers are about 'pyrotechnics' but Morissette works from a very grounded place. As you dive deeper into her work you'll find that there is a wonderful actress. I believe that one of the things that separates Morissette from all other pop singers is her interpretive skills. She finds the character and the event of the song and connects deeply into the lyrics.

Moris should have been a global household name but... wish her the best and one day she will become.
