I've been into balisongs fo about 4 months now and it's been a crazy hobby of mine, I've collected some serious knives. But that's the problem. They're knives. Even the trainers resemble a weapon, so carrying and using them in public can always be a bit sketchy (and I cant bring them onto my campus). I had been looking at Jimpy Designs thumb chucks, which eventually lead me into Begleri slinging. I just orded my first set from aroundsquare and I can't wait for them to arrive!

Thank you Nate! I actually made 2 sets with paracord and 2 steel bearings, the monkey fists. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to try to get into Begleri, made then because I have insomnia and I make all different things with paracord. Anyway I have just been rolling it in the hand using the mid grip and I didn’t even think to watch a tutorial until RUclips recommended your video. Just got my first set - my son bought them for me for Mother's Day :-). Started cruising YT for tutorials this morning and found yours to be the most helpful I've found so far. I really appreciate that you start with the basics and encourage people to spend time with it before trying to move on to more advanced stuff. So many tutorials I've seen for different skill toys brush over the basics and jump right in to combinations that most people won't be ready to do for awhile, which can be quite discouraging for new players. Keep up the good work. PS - I like your shirt!

Hi Nate! I'm new to begleri, currently waiting for my kokonutz from mfd, so I am now messing around with a sloppy homemade begleri made from yoyo string and 10 hexnuts. I do this to get the feel for it before it arrives. I am doing a littlebit of everything, I do yoyo, penspinning, balisong, fidget with zippo, coins and have done some diabolo and cardistry so I kinda got the feeling for it from all the other things. I am by no means good at any of them but I can/could all of them. And still these tips are hjelping me out! Looking forward learning from your other videos and you other tips! Thanks and keep it up!

Thank you, nice introductional video. "Once it clicks, then you´re hooked" is awesome! Never heard that before... Also you´re right with the "power" of investment, I´m just not sure if it´s a good thing, that... money means SO much to us (generally speaking). But that´s just my thought, feel free to ignore it.
I noticed you recommend slightly shorter (approx -1cm) string setup than we do. And Aroundsquare is using very similiar measuring method.
The "conflict" is not very significant, and I always say it´s individual, anyway, I´ll let people know that they shouldn´t go pass the numbers they get by using our method. (I´m sorry, this must seem "out of nowhere", more english content is coming.)

I am a visual learner but they spin so fast it is hard to follow what is actually happening.
If you could slow it down and we could see the actual path of the flow, we might have a better chance at the correct direction for our flow and perhaps pick it up that but easier for a smoother run. Appreciate the video.👌🏽

For anybody that hasn`t a clue what you`re on about ? why do you show what it is at the start of Video ? instead of watching nearly all the Video , then only to find out its a piece of string to swing around your fingers ???

Great vid Bruv and going through the basic beginning steps of picking, sizing, stringing & grips was presented like a Pro. I’ve just returned to slinging and found this a refreshing tutorial (as I’m sure the rest will be of the same caliber)! Kinda surprised I hadn’t seen Ur content beforehand, but the YT ALGORITHM doesn’t like me, no bigs, I’ve found them now and u got a new sub as well, plus the wife is into Yo-Yo 🪀, so “Dbl Wammy”!

I have a set two sets of begleri… cheapies that I got from somewhere?? I never really liked the whole begleri scene until I watched this video. I took your advice and changed to thicker paracord, and I also took the time to size them correctly. YoWzA!!! What a difference thicker cord can make. Now I’m into it!! I’m starting with the basics and moving ahead just by playing with them. Now that they are strung up on thicker paracord, it is much easier to get the feel of them and for the balance/weight distribution. I think there will be a lot of crossover between begleri and my MKUltras. Thanks so much for this invaluable video and all the excellent tips and advice. I wish I would have seen this video a long time ago when I first got my begleri. Much appreciation!! Ⓜ️ary
