I first discovered Rabindranath Tagore's work through stories about him by Sunyata (Alfred Sorensen). Sunyata recognized an "awareness of kindred values, intuitive insight and integral experience" in Tagore's writings. Their eventual meeting totally changed the course of Sunyata's life when Tagore invited him to come to India and "teach silence"! 😅 Personally, Tagore's poems evoke in me aspects of that longing quality I feel with Kabir, Hafez, and that old shamanic voice I hear pining in the the Jiu Ge (Nine Songs). 道 Thanks, Matt, for this channel's skillful display of such flower garland perennial philosophy. 🙏
