WOW. I did not think this day would come, but I am so glad to say it has! This was a big one, but definitely so so worth it! Thank you for everyone who has been rooting for me during this hunt, we finally got our golden shiny llama! Also I apologize in advance if I'm a little awkward or made any mistakes, this is the first video after my break so please excuse that! I once took on 1/4096 odds when I hunted Palkia in this game. Never again. Drove me insane. Your dedication and will is unmatched. Congratulations!
Awww thank you so much Joe TuT but I really do feel your pain, these shinies surely do test us!! ^_^
Best way to do them is doing em while you're doing something else that doesn't require using your hands. It doesn't even need your attention most times, I usually do it while watching shows/movies or listening to music or podcasts. It's the only way to not drive yourself absolutely crazy lol. Also don't go in with expectations. Detach from the result and just do the encounters with the thought that it has to shine at some point, which it absolutely will.
I've been doing a lot of 1/8192 hunts in the older games, 4096 is sooo much better trust me on this. Most gen 7-8 shiny hunts have never taken me more than a few days of hunting even without a shiny charm, which I can't say for the older ones, which can take weeks or even months. I can see why it's intimidating, but shiny hunting is more about your mindset than anything. If you're just starting out, it's def worth getting the shiny charm which brings it down to about 1 in 1365 and it's a lot easier to digest if you're intimidated but still want to get shinies really bad.
@Blitzbrie I've been shiny hunting for close to 2 years now. For the legendaries in BDSP, you can't alter the 1 in 4096 odds. But yeah, I usually watch a show while hunting, but the scary part is that I get sucked into it and it takes over my life until I get the shiny lol
I caught Uxie, Azelf, giratina and regigigas, I have the hori controller so I do have turbo a button. Been hunting arceus for a year now without any luck, I'm well above 10k lol
@@JoeTheJuggler My hardest hunt was regice and gave up on sword and went to ultra sun. Lucky I randomly threw a mb at one because I had no idea it was shiny or not.

Watching these videos reminds me soo much of my childhood. Like I remember coming back home from school, opening my console, and looking for a shiny for hours while doing my school homework. I still miss those days and these videos are soo nostalgic.

Major congrats!! I just got mine recently too; not quite 200 hours worth, but it was still 7,383 and 123 hours. I agree about longer/tougher hunts making you value the shiny that much more!

I'm an avid shiny hunter too so when you mentioned tearing up at this Shiny I'm pretty sure every shiny hunter immediately thought of a particular hunt and for me that was definitely the reset hunting for Shiny Virizion in Pokemon Sword. I wanted that shiny for years and it took 735 resets to get her but it was so worth it! She has a mark from when I caught her (The Uncommon Mark) and I also caught her in my favorite Pokeball (Dusk Ball). Still don't know the odds of getting Shiny Virizion and her having a mark too but if anyone knows I'd love to know. Good luck to every shiny hunter out there.
