Took them WAAAAAYYYY too long to stop with that spoiler nonsense, especially given the community reaction to them. But having them be replaced with the intro memes makes it almost worth the wait...almost! :-D
This deck feels like it's really missing aether vial. The mana advantage that spirit deck had on you in match one was just insane. I think if you could keep up, you might have stood more of a chance.
@@dankurach5340 Yeah, which is a weird decision IMO as CoCo is more easily counterable than vial and doesn't actually give you much chance of getting a discount (as someone else commented here CoCo in this deck is "two bears for the price of two"). It does however give you a bit of card advantage in a deck completely lacking it I suppose...
The intros are amazing, they've all been gold so far. I feel like this deck is basically a "jank tribal lord shell". Ayula's the only actual Bear card right? I feel like if there's any other random nice tribal payoffs you could just replace Ayula with that and you'd have a functional shell.
This is true, but to be fair, Ayula is actually a pretty ridiculous tribal payoff in terms of power level, especially given the mana cost. Although if you have some suggestions for better low-costed tribal payoffs, I'd love to hear them. For the real spice, you could put one or two different 4-of tribal payoffs in the sideboard and make a 'tribal' deck that 'transforms' into a different tribe during sideboarding.
You need to put a couple copies of Grunn, the Lonely King in this deck It won't help the deck at all, but at least then you can name the deck, "Grunn & Bear It"
I can’t play mtgo but I think if you cut the three drops and some other cards that don’t do much/anything ( which also cuts red so it doesn’t need to be five color) you can play stutter sprite and with all the low cost changelings could actually start countering some serious stuff. And bears of Littjara and Ayula keep your clock fast.
I think the new intros are smart because they help to discourage people skipping the sponsor mentions if they see something that is funny right before it.
You've built an awesome shell here but imagine instead of taurean mauler, the two absorb identify, maybe one less glass pool mimic and one less Ayula and cut all the metallic mimics which frees up 9 spots you have 3 Gallia of endless dance, 2 knight examplar, 2 king of the prides, and 2 cloudshredder slivers (or rage forger could be interesting as well). That gives an insane amount of versatility and threats to hit with COCO not to mention what you could do with the sideboard.
The fact this deck isn't named Care Bears is a massive dissappointment to me. All colors, more powerful as you play more of them, etc. It fits the theme perfectly.
+Zach Gray Correct but not only in Scandinavian Languages but in pretty much all Germanic Languages. So also in German, Dutch etc. See "Anje Falkenrath" as example. Since both Anje and Falkenrath are German (though Anje is also a Name in Dutch etc.)
45:20 How did poison kill them with angel's grace resolved? I feel like it would kill them at the start of their turn, not during damage of Seth's turn after Grace had resolved. Although, maybe they just conceded.
At 8:11 why play Collected Company instead of the two changelings? Wouldn't they have been uncounterable and adding a lot of utility and let him clear the field a bit?
Can’t speak for match 5 yet, but in match 4 the opponent spent a lot of time in the tank, so all the dead time is edited out. That’s why that match is more aggressively edited.
Match 4 was a paaaain to edit. There was nothing happening for a good five minutes, plus the opponent was playing kinda slow anyway, so I had to edit really aggressively. The other matches were edited just by cutting out long bits of dead audio, funnily enough Match 1 has an estimated 1048 cuts in it (took me a while to edit), but it’s pretty seamless.
looks like the pressure this deck can output is Un-bear-able in some match-ups. I can bear-ly believe this tribe is working, (on a side note tho i seen alot of decks i consider pioneer archetypes(spirits,Inverter) is this because of the bans)
I think a big miss in the first match to have magical Christmasland happen was to leave the absorb identities in instead of siding them out so that you could bounce their supreme phantoms and having all your "bear/spirits" get freaking huge!
Playing all these changelings, wouldn't some of the "tribal" instants and sorceries work as sideboards? The black dragon one that sacs and gains 4 comes to mind, or the 3 damage to target and its controller one. I haven't played in years, forgive me. X D
The intro memes >>>>>> the intro spoiler teasers thank you.
I 100% agree, these intros are great, spoilers are not

Agreed, even if the jokes end up being really bad, they'll never ruin one of the games.

I don’t think Saffys the boss
Saffy is most definately A boss
Turn one Cavern of Souls naming “Bear” is such a power move
The only counter is to play a Cavern of Souls naming Hippo, Brushwagg, or Aurochs

@@rat488 I think I'd be more likely to want to counter a Horse than a Bear because there is one good Horse in mtg

I think while making a deck like this you need to make a choice between coco and vial. Seth chose coco 🤷♂️

He should of fought the pump spirit, hed have bought himself an extra turn
"Collected Company, two bears for the price of one..."
No, Seth, that's two bears for the price of two :-)
Sometimes the price of 3 or 4.
Oof
I feel like Tomer being on Discord call making bad bear puns was a missed oppurtunity to take this episode over the top.
What I felt he was spiritually there with how unbearable the puns Seth made were, like glasspool bear, metallic bear.
Or at least Graham
to be fair, that would've been unBearable
I'll see myself out
The intros are amazing and they alone are worth watching all of these haha. But video in general is fantastic too, always excited for some spice.
That match against spirits! Epic. Old Seth would've scooped but you stayed and thought it through! Well done, you've improved! 😀
Honestly, Seth is the most positive energy in all of MTG (and that is saying a lot) - much love
"Unsettled Beariner" was a very funny line!
The editor who makes these memes at the beginning deserves a raise. The memes are too good not to give them one.
These intros are so great that I can 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 contain my excitement when I see a new goldfish video!
Having Tomer as a punny guest on against the odds would be the best! I can hardly bear it ;)
I actually named my dog Ayula because I loved the card so much and it was kinda funny seeing her look up everytime you said the name!
i think you can play metalic mimic as a bear, its already a shapeshifter and stays that way when it enters.
I remember vividly when Seth played an Ayula deck in Modern back when Hogaak was still legal. And won.
Good times.
The new intros are just the best and that bear attack advise just made my day!!
The intro always a spoonful of "i have no idea whats happening" until it happens. Random memes from the last 20 years, i love it
This was super fun, I enjoyed this video a lot
Now I need a text ring tone of Seth getting all excited and saying "Bears!" In a tone nobody should ever describe bears in.
I love the fact I tagged you on Twitter in a screenshot of my pioneer changelings screenshot and you happen to play this deck :D Meant to be

honestly, Seth, this is your best deck ever. aggro, changeling, against the odds… it’s everything i love. just a super fun deck and video.
wow, you bearly managed to win a lot of those games
That intro, man. So good.
At 40:20, the Mimic could have been set on Bear to work with Ayula. It’s naturally a Shapeshifter, so the saga would have worked with it anyway
I haven't played magic in forever, the bear puns are why I'm here. Best show on the tube only even comparable to a certain Monday goblin show.

Every time a new Against the Odds gets posted, I can imagine Seth's opponents saying, "What the hell is this?" during the match.
"Okay, this deck idea might seem a little janky, but bear with me..."
you could visibly see opponent's confusion as seth names "bear" on cavern of souls.
Seth plays Cavern of Souls, naming Bear.

Seth plays the Bear deck and does the Winnie the Pooh laugh 👌
The intros are getting better and better. Kudos to the editor.
