I have understood everything but 'sea urchins'. Buy you were speaking in a very clear way. My experience with english people Is that they say a full phrase as it was one only word, then they stop to take breath and say the next phrase in the same way. It's very hard to understand where every word starts and ends.

Dear Jo, these “only English” videos are just what I was looking for! I have been speaking English to my little daughter since she was 1, now she is 2, and yours are the only RUclips videos we watch! She isn’t even watching cartoons yet. 😅These are just perfect because I never translate words or sentences from Italian to English with her: I have heard that it is not good to mix languages at this stage. Lo riascolterò più volte. Unisco i tuoi interventi con le lezioni in meet piattaforma con una deliziosa insegnante di inglese, amica, che mi fa leggere le news, che traduco, ascolto. Con lei leggo e parlo. Tieni presente che insegna agli adulti e quindi sa le difficoltà che ha una persona non più giovane. Le dirò che ti ho trovato e che faccio rinforzo di abilità seguendoti. I'm from Rome and you were probably referring to gricia which is a recipe for pasta with bacon and pepper. Add one egg and you'll have a carbonara, add some tomato sauce and you'll have an amatriciana. "Withdraw" that bacon and you'll have a "cacio e pepe" which is a wonderful recipe that I suggest you try sometimes. Nice channel mate ;)

Io sono romano Jo and I love cooking. La pasta di cui parli credo sia la Gricia, che viene fatta con il guanciale, pecorino romano ed il pepe ed è una variante della Matriciana che aggiunge agli ingredienti il pomodoro. Se invece alla Gricia aggiungi uova a crudo atterrai la carbonara. Se verrai dalle mie parti te la preparerò molto volentieri. Video stupendo. Lo riascolterò più volte. Unisco i tuoi interventi con le lezioni in meet piattaforma con una deliziosa insegnante di inglese, amica, che mi fa leggere le news, che traduco, ascolto. Con lei leggo e parlo. Tieni presente che insegna agli adulti e quindi sa le difficoltà che ha una persona non più giovane. Le dirò che ti ho trovato e che faccio rinforzo di abilità seguendoti. I'm from Rome and you were probably referring to gricia which is a recipe for pasta with bacon and pepper. Add one egg and you'll have a carbonara, add some tomato sauce and you'll have an amatriciana. "Withdraw" that bacon and you'll have a "cacio e pepe" which is a wonderful recipe that I suggest you try sometimes. Nice channel mate ;)

La pasta di cui parli credo sia la Gricia, che viene fatta con il guanciale, pecorino romano ed il pepe ed è una variante della Matriciana che aggiunge agli ingredienti il pomodoro.
Se invece alla Gricia aggiungi uova a crudo atterrai la carbonara.
Se verrai dalle mie parti te la preparerò molto volentieri.

Hi Joe, your "nameless" pasta recipe is Pasta alla Carbonara, a very popular Italian dish which you often find from Milan to Palermo, but be careful: eat it only in restaurants where you know they do a good Carbonara, because it's a simple recipe but has to be made that precise way with raw egg and no fresh cream!! Otherwise it's definitely not worth it!😊😊😊❤
