I work at one of these mills in the US. Same stuff but without the automatic roll change setup. This is a little fancier but same processes doesn’t necessarily mean more reliable or better product. China is known for inferior steel quality its just cheaper that’s why it’s popular. It’s cheaper because they put their money into their equipment and not the employees safety, insurance, and yes pay.
A F A We have meetings every quarter about what the steel industry is doing and the steel market. It’s proven that a lot of Chinese steel is inferior. It may cost less for them to produce but all that means is the suits are benefiting from it.
I’m beginning to notice that the reason why chinas machines may be up to date I guess but what about the employees safety hard hats and floresent safety apparel so they can be identified if they needed help but then again china is all about money making not about the safety which should be paramount also what about eye protection
Thats a very interesting point. I work in a hot strip mill plant in Brazil and in manu factories in developed countries such as Canadá, US and Germany there is a lack of labor workforce… many People dont want tô work in these risky environment now

It is cheaper because they are more efficient and learned how to reduce production costs.

The manufacturing of aluminum is by far the costliest and uses the most energy.
