Yes it was worth it!! The stones in the wall the HUGE stone and wash area alone made it worth it. Of course all the looking in nice weather and fresh eggs 👍🏻

Looks like a very fun morning... what a lovely place. As for me I'd have looked pretty hard at that pile of fake swords you passed by love that sort of thing... dunno why... and I would have probably bought those silver silverware if they weren't too terribly expensive... I don't know why I have a thing for silver silverware... no clue why... but sure looked like a lovely little area and so pretty... that big place you looked at was lovely too... the huge stone I kept thinking good gods how much you suppose that weighs?
I’m thinking that weight with the ring on top was used to tie a hitched horse while the owner went about business. Hitching rails weren’t always available. The stone was probably kept under the seat in the wagon until needed.

Yes, of course it was worth it, Sean! Sitting here in the US...just the thought of spending a day at a vide greniers in rural France makes me feel warm inside. Even if you don't end up finding a single treasure, it's a wonderful way to spend a day, especially when you're with the people you love.

I was just watching a YT channel that was inside a fortified fort in NY. You know the bow and arrow holes in a chateau or fort? Well, those stone pieces would go in the hole. If you notice they are graduated thin to wide to fit a loop hole. Makes sense they are all different sizes! I learned this yesterday !

I'm always surprised that you don't take a shopping trolley with you to these events. It beats trekking around, carrying heavy and / or awkwardly shaped items, and in your case, Sean, tooing and froing to the car and back. They can easily fold flat and be left in the back of the car for convenience sake. I love mine to bits; I've LONG gotten over myself - self-conscious feeling of looking like someone's granny - having adopted the motto - 'Have wheels, will travel'. 😂😂 I find its use encourages me to walk a lot more.

Shells and that kettle maybe problem with vide grenier's I noticed especially the smaller one off's galore no pairs except shoes. I was surprised you didn't pick up any equipment. The pots were nice as well. Sam did well :) yes indeed you have to move fast what if you brought a roller trolley I bet you could make one out of pallet and casters might make it easier. Maybe contact the owner or maybe Tom could and get you an interview and tour maybe ;) beautiful home and garden. The weight is cute I would use it in your wall outside the cottage and copper pieces are cute.

A documentary on Mont. St. Michel showed the chefs make their signature omelets in a copper bowl, claiming the copper has a good effect when they "frapper les oeufs" - adding air to whipped eggs. It's a thought. More power.
