Devon Larratt's Cup Strength is Too Much For Georgi's Toproll!

  • Devon goes between pronation and cupping as his go to for most important it seems like, it's flip flopped a few times since I've known him. Just like any other sport, one single thing isn't going to win you anything but it can take you damn far.
This version of Devon Larratt isn't a containment based arm wrestler so he doesn't get pushed as much.
Devon probably will give up center to go into an open top roll so his wrist won't look like this because he will give up center. He might have his wrist cracked back a bit but it definitely won't be flopped, Devon will keep his pronation.
The flop wrist press and the king's move, these are not winning moves, these are moves that work on people that don't know how to arm wrestle" Devon Larratt.
The best part is that this is true, but a lot of arm wrestlers even at the pro level still don't understand the whole sport because they just get strong at their one move and ignore the rest.
While Devon likely felt some impact, the extent remains unknown. There's a possibility he is intentionally misleading Georgi to boost his confidence, particularly if he foresaw a potential match.
It's crucial to note that Devon maintains his pronation in relation to the table surface, employing a sideways body movement, the "king move," to preserve pronation through the shoulder.
Georgi may have erred by providing Devon with extensive information during their pull. Despite Georgi's strength in top roll, Devon possesses diverse skills, including hooking, pressing, and employing a flop wrist press.

Denis didn’t try to slip round 2. He was going inside and cupping. Devon blew through it with pronation.

Devon will not do king's move. He will have his shoulders square and his left leg forward hanging in the air. He will simulate his pronation lift doing that. This is what he did against Dave and Ermes.
But even more likely possibility is that he will start making numerous surges, which will destroy Tsvetkov's cupping and bicep.

That is his open toproll. He swings out to the to the right and takes the hand. Whether he ends up in kingsmove depends on the power and skill of his opponent. Devon has gotten way stronger at center so he’s taking the hand sooner.

@@Dmgolfer22 Rewatch his match with Levan. In there his shoulder is aggressively forward and it looks like his right leg is forward. And when he started losing center, he didn't adjust his body to stay square with his hand. His technique changed. Now his stance is primed for back pressure and pronation, he can adjust his posture for king's move, if he loses center too much, but no one was able to get him that far yet. And I think him doing king's move against Levan round 1 is what got his bicep torn, you need to soften up your opponent first.

Devons hand wasnt cracked back by John. Devon intentionally kicks back his wrist to rise & pronate into the other persons hand. The kick back makes rising easier.

His low and high cup Multispinner numbers say otherwise. Devon gives up cup as strategy against some opponents when he chooses to open toproll. He wrist curled Dave in round 1 restart even though Dave had strap and able to apply power. That’s a strong cup. You don’t see Devon lose cup once he gets it.
