It's great that you all are going to Shillong but i feel sad for you guys to say that the bus won't reach Shillong because of the maintenance of the bridge in Bara pani (Dum), umium, it'll stop there early morning and you have to take taxi to reach Shillong, it's around 18 to 20 km journey from there,
