- "Tennessee Waltz" is a popular country music song with lyrics by Redd Stewart and music by Pee Wee King written in 1946 and first released in January 1948. The song became a multi-million seller via a 1950 recording - as "The Tennessee Waltz" - by Patti Page. As of 1974, it was the biggest-selling song ever in Japan.

This brought me to tears 😢 This was my Momma and Daddy's song! They fell in love to it ! They've both been gone for over 30 years now. Miss you both so much.
This was my mom and dad's song, as well. My dad played sax in a dance band, they played every other Friday night at the roller rink, that's where they fell in love and married in 1949. They shared over 59 years and 9 kids. Oh, how this song brings back memories of my daddy waltzing mom around the kitchen and singing this song together.

I love this legendary country song, and this is a great version. The stunningly beautiful singer has a voice to match her beauty, but she deserves to be able to record in a studio with a better sound for the accompanying instruments. I am annoyed about one thing: I don't understand why there is no indication of the identities (i.e. names) of the singers. They deserve to be known. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I kept waiting for the two gals in the middle to sing.
They could´t cause the one swallowed a table-tennis ball cause she lost a bet the day before and desperately kept trying to get rid of it, the other one got that issue telephatically in her brain, trying in turn to push that bloody ball with her willpower alone from underneath, I mean she concentrated badly on the firs ladies bowels, trying to generate a volcano or lots of gas pressure or something to force that ball out of the throat...a selfless act of cherity. Unfortunately that did not work at all. She managed to suck that ball out of her at the end, with high suction power. The ball hit her with 125 mph in the teeth. She lost two, cause they were knocked out by that bloody ball. They cut out that suction, excuse me, section. I would call it the section with the sucktion. That sounds weird, doesn´t it?

@@dlrunner The others were shy, because the lady on the very right was indeed very good with her singing. Probably the lead singer lady is from Tennessee, the other from Montana, Nebraska or Newfoundland or something - Ahh, Greenland they don´t speak English, that´s it.
@@dlrunner Two of them sang but the two in the middle just sashayed. You could fire them both and pocket double the fee ;-) We had the Spice Girls where it took 5 of them to sing two-part harmony: now we have this two-part harmony by 4 girls, 2 of whom don't even sing. That's progress for you.

Several years ago, I came across a wedding rehearsal in a public park. They were using this song (sans lyrics)as this wedding march. It was all I could do to stop myself from interrupting and asking them if they were jinxing their marriage - had anyone listened to the words?

That’s what I thought the smaller girl was holding something in her hand. DIDNT stop me from enjoying the song though. Connie Francis is my favourite singer of the song her voice was crystal clear ❤.

They stepped from one foot to the next, but contributed nothing to the sound, although one had a tambourine and the other had some sort of bell.
A little bit more interest in the singers , a little bit more interesting outfits , maybe a bass and a fiddle would project this little gem to the stars..

Why does the second woman from the farthest right appear not to move?
This is a very ROMANTIC and light song for the two parties dancing in a very relaxing atmosphere.
But these girls are not singing but SHOUTING just destroying the main purpose of this song.
For self expression choose another melody not this one. 👎👎👎👎👎
