Being raised in a high demand religion/ cult, not escaping until my 30s, having a mom with chronic illness my whole life, losing her in my 30s, getting sick at 18 and living with debilitating chronic illness myself, and so many other tragic losses and traumatic events, i have lost so much. The church alone has stolen so much from me and my family. There is so much grief in chronic illness, it robbed me of so much. Im healing and life is finally starting to feel sweet again. Thank you
I understand, at least to some degree, the demands of a "cult" as I too lived in one many years ago. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to leave at about the same age as you did. Realize that the Universe is supporting you as you Heal on ALL levels and Reiki is a wonderful tool to use. There are some delightful Reiki People on here and they have assisted me as a Reiki Practitioner myself. Religions/Churches can be devastating, but I hope that you have not given up on Spirituality. I've been in the process of restarting my life, after a series of trauma, religious abuses, walking in on my spouse with another person, and severe mental health disorders, led to a rebirth involving losing my memories for 4 years. Over the last five years (4 + 1) I've been trying to get on My feet again. Going through homelessness, and having to learn how to establish boundaries with narcissistic people that were posing as friends in my life as well as family who are not willing to accept me as I am, a year ago I had decided to leave for a different place. And I've been living in California over this last year. I've gotten a lot accomplished, but it's also been a very lonely time. While you were doing your reiki session, I was taking care of some things in my room and then i, held and danced slowly with myself in the center of my room, allowing myself to cry, feeling waves of a cleansing light feeling pulse through my body, opening my eyes from time to time to see your gentle face as you were performing your healing services.
