The funny thing that is Tuomas said he did not want to do any more music videos because he was sick of it just being the band being filmed playing music, but Floor convinced him to do one for this song, and we got this gem. I love the chemistry they have and the obvious collaborative spirit of the band.
About that Game of Thrones similarity: Tuomas confessed that he hadn't watched a single episode and it was actually Marko who one day pointed out the similarity to the main theme to him. He said it's possible that he may have picked up the tune at some point, but it was definitely not intentional. Still a very ironic coincidence. Everything else has already been said in the comments. lol
It's a masterpiece but it's even more amazing if you are familiar with the Scrooge McDuck stories which it's based on. Should read all those Don Rosa stories before listening that album so it makes more sense.
Some lyric analysis: There's so much in it it's impossible to take it all in with one single playthrough. the message is not just "Smartphone bad, nature good!" but rather how "We've become tool to a tool", the next lines are also important "Digital ghouls telling you to shut up and dance". Basically, how we are blinded to what is important with superficial distractions. We have the mother who use her child to further her status on social media and in the end trapping the child in a cage. We have the (hypocritical) environmentalist activist who do and say all the right things for social clout (also notice his sign has both yes and no to nuclear power) all while literally bathing in oil when nobody can see him. We have the pill industry who push supplements (i saw fat away, man power, but there where other) so everyone can be "perfect". The cult (the monks) of social media who are quick to turn on anyone who disagree, and instead of helping out you pose for the drama. In the end we are born and die addicted to all the digital "noise" that blinds us to what is important.

Surprised Chase didn't rewind at 5:44 for further 'musical analysis'! In all seriousness, this video makes me tear up every time. By the end the dude's entire life had passed him by when a beautiful world was just on the horizon. I used to be that person who just came home from work and played videogames or listened to music or played on the internet until it was time for bed. Every day, every week, month, and for years. Then my son was born. And while the transition has been slow, I am a totally different person today than I was 4 years ago (about the time I really got into NW, ha!). We go outside and play every single day and I take every opportunity to try to go to festivals, concerts, social outings, parks, museums, EVERYWHERE I can with him. Sure, we still play videogames and my #1 hobby will always be music, but I've struck a much healthier balance lately even though as you said Chase it is harder right now than ever. And I've began removing some aspects of social media that are kinda negative. I'm so done with the media painting my model of the world and of others for me. It's so much more meaningful and accurate to see the world yourself than to have it explained to you and for you. You are also right that technology isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's just how you use it, right? The same technology that can obliterate a city can power an entire region. A social media platform that can keep you connected with friends can also suck you into a harmful escapism. It's ironic that this song and video came out during coronavirus; I mean obviously they wrote this before everything hit, but it's just so spot on for today's culture, isn't it? It's exactly the song we need to hear right now. And it's further ironic and appropriate that it happens to speak to me on a very personal level considering what I explained above. This song musically isn't anything mindblowing but we always have to take into consideration that we know for a fact that the live version is going to SLAY and you're right, those parts are totally gonna KICK ASS. I absolutely CANNOT WAIT!
It's hard to watch other reactions after watching yours . You have great knowledge and understanding of the complexity this music has..,The integrate details of this band is mindblowing ! Thank you for the time and care you put into these reactions . My boyfriend and I love your channel!
Theres easter egg in the video to know whos the one from the band in the bathtub before tuomas reveal him self. You can see his other costume behind the tube on the left ;)
Tuomas was in the tub. He was the tree hugger that really wasn't a tree hugger. He represents how companies and some individuals alike talk about being environmentally conscious but are usually the worst offenders or are only doing it for clicks. *EDIT* And I see you got it at the end. Leaving it because I want to. :P haha
When listening to the whole album in one go, there is no silence between Music and Noise. The soft ending of Music get blown up by the violent beginning of Noise (there is no soft intro like in the video). Startled me a few times. Definitely done on purpose (not thanking you Tuomas! 😡). By the way, the "guy with the red light" getting bashed up is poor little Emppu 😥 Thanks for those few words about looking after each other. I think you're going to love "How's the Heart" 's lyrics so much
Right before the album was released, Tuomas did a q&a video in which he mentioned this video. He stated he really had no interest in making a music video. However, it was Floor that sorta convinced him to do a video. But he said if they were going to do a music video, he wanted to do something different and interesting. Therefore, Noise music video was created. Cannot wait for you to hear Shoemaker!
Message: you spend a lifetime with your head stuck inside a virtual video box while there's a wanderful Earth outside to watch. I love Troy on his bathroom throne and Tuomas headbanging inside a bath of oil... so many hidden meanings...
Yeah, and makes sense when you know that Shoemaker is comming. Now, let's contemplate what is really really beautiful. Forget your cell phone and look up the sky! 💜
Troy on his golden toilet with the crown he's taking off, having a very "funny hairdo" with on the screen behind him the white house... this video is exploding with all kinds off messages. absolutely love this song and video
Chase, you've said that you're not a very emotional person (Poet and the Pendulum react maybe?), but seeing your facial expressions at the very end there makes me want to beg to differ. Awesome react, as always.
He's one of the most emotional and intuitive people I've seen on the internet; he just isn't as expressive as most. Probably due to how emotional he is...that tends to be a defense
Watch it about 5 times for the music and 5 more the the hidden meanings in the video. I eliminated all Facebook, Twitter, Instagram type/style accounts about a decade ago now and I'm so much happier not having to watch the bits of peoples lives they want me to see or pics of what they had for dinner and it hasn't stopped me one bit from keeping in touch with friends and family. I love this video. Nightwish sees the bigger picture with everything they touch. Thanks for a great review Chase....now I'm going to go have a Damn Good Day!
"Sorry it's going to be a long one" Which Nightwish video isn't going to be? lol. I love the long analysis! I know the songs are awsome, you help me understand and notice the subtleties that make it awesome.
If you plan on doing Shoemaker next then I advice you to just browse the Wikipedia page for Eugene Shoemaker first. It helps understanding what the song is about.
Interestingly, one thing that is easy to miss in the video is the pink filter symbolizing the rose-coloured glasses people look each other through on the Internet. Everything "good" has a pink filter on, everything "bad" doesn't.
I love your reactions so much. for me one big message from the song is "don't confuse virtual life for reality... go outside sometimes!" So on that note, watched my daily Chase (check!), now taking my dog outside to play! :)
I tend to do that and I hate it about myself. It's proven that people who do that will remember less of the show. That's why I always tell myself that I can only make 3 videos of 1 minute per concert
I can understand clicking pictures or recording something just before they start or at the end, but why do you have to record concerts on cam? You're there to enjoy the full experience and not to do videography.
I've listened to this album about 30+ times and I have to see it's great to watch it with you and go through things. I'd like to make a suggestion: so the last 8 songs on the album are instrumentals. I think its worth your time to listen and do a reaction video to all 8 together, they aren't super long individually, but they almost tell a story musically (a few voice overs) from the first one to the last. Anyways, just my suggestion. Thank you for your reactions as always!
@@ChaseCarneson Nightwish originally released the songs of that second album as separate videos but there is a fan made professional quality 31 minute video where they were recollected as one ruclips.net/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/видео.html However the last song of that album "Ad Astra" ruclips.net/video/VshpPBBehxE/видео.html was released before the official release date of the whole album to support for international conservation charity organization 'World Land Trust'. While other officially released songs have just static background picture, official release of "Ad Astra" is a proper music video with important message.
The message of the video, that "tool of a tool" line in particular, feels very Tolkien in nature. His stories lean heavily into the theme that the things we possess eventually possess us. Tuomas was a big Tolkien fan growing up and I wonder if some traces of that influence of Tolkien's worldview are showing in the thoughts and worldview being expressed here. Of course the works directly cited in the song are Brave New World and Black Mirror, it's not like Tolkien's the only one who'd been concerned about the direction we're headed in with technological addiction. But that particular line catches my attention. Excellent commentary and reaction, very excited to continue following your journey through this album!
That is true. Tolkien was sad about that people didn't respect nature, especially trees if I remember it correctly. Maybe parts of that can be found here, when the video ends with the camera paning up, showing what beauty they miss.
I feel the same joy you do when I hear a heavy guitar riff. Can’t wait to see you react to Tribal. There may be a little bit of research before the next song, Shoemaker. It pertains to Eugene Shoemaker, the only human interred on the moon.
I'd say this is the most "stock" Nightwish song on the album (hence it being the lead off single). But this album really IMO, doesn't lend itself so well to singles, as songs like "Harvest" in a vacuum may feel weirdly un-Nightwish.... but in context and in order on the album? Absolutely works. This is hands down my favorite album of 2020 to date, with around 100 listens so far (Nightwish, Iron Maiden and Band Maid to keep my spirits up during lockdown, 5 months and counting), and I still can't pick a favorite track.
A quote from Tuomas that's in the comment section of the original video: "This video is not a criticism about technology or cell phones. Me, all the bandmembers, we love technology. We wouldn't ever have done this record without technology. We love our cell phones, the Internet and all that, but it's a criticism for the addiction that these things cause in human beings. 'Addiction' is the word." So not technology, but addiction as a whole!
It's an awesome song indeed, I agree this will be mind blowing live. It's also quite a harsh social commentary on the video, I take it more as warning of what we might become rather than a reflection of reality today. Ps. That's instagram model Jessica Edström if you want to...uhm, research...some more. ;)
@@aenorist2431 I've already seen him in just a pair of board shorts, cowboy boots and a top hat when he guested with Delain. I don't want to see him in his undies! 😱😭
Great reaction as usual, thank you! This video is so full of funny details, like the green movement cannot decide whether they are pro or against nuclear, so Tuomas has this handy flip-around sign. His bath btw was warm plant oil with ground black pasta, he described it as "nothing you have ever experienced before" but quite pleasant apparently. So, the next piece from the album will throw you a curve ball, wonder what you will make of it :-)
Chase, I get on RUclips for car maintenance and mod videos and music reaction videos. You have become my favorite reactor along with Jamel.aka.Jamal. My only complaint you do not post enough videos. Keep up the good work and I hope RUclips and the copywriters leave you the hell alone.
I really liked your takeaway from the music video. I don't think they intended to say "technology=bad" but more of a warning that we can become tools of a tool, enslaved by something that is supposed to help us. And the real life vs. the online "perfection." The guy getting beat up on social media was Emppu, by the way! There's so much going on in the video that I have a hard time really listening to the song. Like usual you picked out a lot of nuances that I never noticed before, and I'll definitely be listening for them in the future!
This one is a punch to the guy and kick to the jaw that makes you reflect on yourself a bit. Yes, there's sooo much to absorb in it, it takes a couple run throughs to get it all. But bravo again. Alice sure has come to life down in Wonderland with us. 😊
Chase easily the best first reaction of this video of any analysis (have seen a lot of them) EASILY - great work 👍. Under 1/2 through it you had not only broken down the music but taken in and interpreted the concept. You seemed to think you missed a lot; not much at most, and certainly caught a lot more in 1 take than myself and likely many others. Keep up the great work - and make sure to get information on Shoemaker before listening. All the best from MA
In this video there's a LOT of things going onnall the time and one can only see so much on one take. But that's probably one of the ideas behind it; noise. Just like in today's life we have so many distractions disturbing our minds all the time.
Speaking of easter eggs! Listen to this in mono and you hear after the sounds in the intro right before the music starts a female voice saying "Shut up!"
Aw, Chase, you could never bore us 😉 There is so much to absorb from this video and kind of hard to capture it all in one viewing as there is so much going on, but you seemed to get it in one go round! As always, great analysis and looking forward to the next reaction/analysis! Have a great weekend, or should i say, have a DAMN great weekend! 😂 p.s. my sister and I were binge watching your channel last night. She has never really watched any reaction videos, so I introduced her to you..lol. She lives in Florida, and I'm here in Tennessee, so we had to watch together by computer and phone. She got a kick out of your humor and enjoyed your channel very much! 🤘 ☮💗
There's another level of understanding when analyzing Music and Noise side by side. "Can you hear the brave drum from the moors? Follow the beat and leave the noise behind if we be lovers" Great reaction, as always!
Chase you are one of the best reactors i have seen, there are so mutch fakers reacting to nightwish to get the views the easy way. Respect to you keep up the good work.
Well lovely to watch...again 😁 I enjoy the small details you notice in the video's. There are not a lot of reactors, that see so many 😋 ow and you are on point about the meaning of this video... If you follow the order of the album, strap in next week, that ending is something else ❣ Thnx man, have fun and till the next...🤘
I saw Tuomas in the oil bath when he's in duplicate headbanging up & down a lot like the motion of those oil drill rigs as they delve into the earth for that black gold
Love how this video is built upon a metaphor that is built on another one. So much detail. Peasants being barefoot and a king with golden shoes on a “throne”.
Nicely spotted Tuomas in the bath tub! Thing with the rubber duck is very rarely noticed. Tuomas loves Disney and Scrooge McDuck so its fitting to make him play with a duck. You got the whole meaning of the vid spot on. The album version is slightly different and has not the orchesteral ending but it has longer heavy bridge, I like it more. Just waiting to see this live, it will be awesome!
You were talking about the nearly hidden theme in the beginning being a sort of easter egg. Coincidently, there is an actual easter egg in the beginning of the song. If you listen to the start in mono you can hear Floor shout "Shut up" after app. 9 seconds (not sure if I remembered that right). You won't hear this in normal playing mode. Tuomas said in some interviews that this video is about addiction, it is not against our digital tools. In fact, all the band love them and, when used properly, they can be a powerful tools. But there can be a major downside, like you mentioned yourself!
weekend best reaction and analyze like always chase, thanx. in finland radio rock i heard now playing 3 songs nightwish album. noise, harvest and latest one is hows the heart. actually they can play all 9 new songs coz there is hit material every song :) ok have great day there, till next time.
Notice also how when they're living there "digital lives" the screen is cast pink (seeing life through rose tinted glasses) but their reality is more dark green/blue. Nice touch by the director there!
Nightwish Saturday on my birthday. Fantastic review as usual . One month to the day I hopefully will be seeing them in Toronto. So far it hasn't been cancelled fingers crossed.
Brilliant Chase, just brilliant. (Richard here, pvt 2nd class, GVA) you got that really fast and the commenters have excellently filled in the gaps and visual metaphors, but there are some easter eggs to come. The black mirrors, to quote Wiki - Black Mirror is a British dystopian science fiction anthology television series. - It examines modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. A couple; there are several hexagons, the structure of the hive and the standard coverage planning map diagram for cell-phone towers to maximise channel frequency re-use. When the baby is an old man and dies there's the chimes of an old Windows shut down sequence. I'm an old fart, I do not have a hand-held, graphical, social media interface device, it can't be a "phone", nobody ever talks on one, just thumbs and fingers. I couldn't see the screen anyway without finding the third and strongest pair of reading glasses, I'd loose/break it around our 2.5 acre+ garden and small forest, plus being the only driver it's useless when I'm out. I do have a phone though for any emergencies, it's a phone, period. Perfectly good computer at home, does me and no social media at all, just YT if that counts. Did I tell you I'm an old fart? Really loving your reactions and I see you are getting referenced elsewhere, justifiably. Best wishes.
I was so looking forward to you reacting to this song and you lived up to my expectations. Not only musically and visually, but you are one of the few reactors that noticed Floor’s amazing high notes. The ‘noisy’ video almost makes you forget about that. Great job! 💕🙋♀️
Thanks Chase. Required myself for more listening and viewing. This is worth listening to without a video, because as you noticed in this video, there is a lot to discuss. But when the idea opens up, notice how skillfully everything is done.
Nailed it again chase. 👍 I saw somewhere online, ironically , Toumas’ s thoughts behind this song. The nighwish website perhaps. You, chase have also parroted his views, the world is fascinated with social media but it should not take over our life’s. Maybe someone out there saw what I saw ? , it was so very intuitive and smart. Just like his music. The man is a genius 😉🤘.
Instant 'like' (of course). I've seen this video 3 times now, and I need to watch/listen more. It, as of now, still isn't one of my favs, simply because it is SO jam-packed with layers and meanings and is (mostly) sung so quickly it's hard to keep up with. However, I absolutely love the underlying 'main' meaning. Another masterpiece for sure! Chase, the fact that you can pick up things in the lyrics, the video AND still do your incredible musical analysis is just mindboggling. :) Can't wait til next Sat!!!
I watched/heard this song dozens of times already, but those last 30 sec will always bring tears into my eyes Btw... I love the "king/president" taking a dump on everybody :D
I absolutely see me in that song! And not in the way you might think. I don't interact with Social Media all that much. But the Noise part really speaks to me. I have to have noises around me at all time! When I want to sleep, I always have to let some meaningless youtube video, music or audiobook run quietly in the background. To shut out the silence, if you catch my meaning. I sit at a beautiful waterfall. And instead of listening to nature, I listen to music, or a audiobook. Even your videos, besides being awesome, are a way to escape the peace and quiet, that silence would provide...
I think it's high time for you to start addressing Emppu and Kai (and Jukka where applicable) by name. :) Emppu was the guy with the screen that turned red and Kai was taking selfies instead of helping him when he got beaten up.
You totally understood this video concept and message. Nightwish has stated that they are not against all of the digital distractions. They only want us to put it down once in a while and live real life. It is just outside your front door. They are all lovers of the natural world. Thus the ending show indoctrination and addiction from cradle to grave. Yet all around them is the forest and on the horizon the sun is just coming up to start another beautiful day on our special planet. Love your reaction and analysis to this song and I agree. This will be great when performed live. Peace out!
Yeah I am repeating myself, but, once again I freaking loved your reaction and analysis, it's a pleasure to see someone put into words what I feel each time I listen to NW!
Great reaction, Chase. Your analysis was brilliant, and spot on. You picked up on most of the major points of this song very quickly. And your remark about the young lady "Being cold" made me laugh! That is NOT the initial reaction I had when I first saw this video!
Hell yeah! Kickstart the weekend with a great reaction video to Nightwish. Can't wait until you get to Shoemaker and Pan. Although, IDK what will happen to "How's The Heart?", will it be the acoustic version, the album version or both 🤔
I think the song is about how things, people or life, if you will, is very different (maybe even polar opposite) from what you see or read in social media. In the video, the oil guy is actually the "enviromental guy", that Tuomas also portrays.
Floor - Parent who is permanently stuck to their phone not actually engaging with their child. In the room they are sat in there is a fair ground behind them yet she ‘traps’ her crying child. Troy - King/leader crown of oil drills. Golden platforms to make him grander than he is, plays the part when in-front of subjects but when alone doesn’t give a shit. Sat on what looks like a glorious thrown but is in fact a toilet. (Nod to what we don’t see behind the scenes) Empu - Someone who stands apart from the rest on social media and gets attract for it. Kai - The person taking a self with someone getting beaten in the background. Tuomas - The echo warrior do desperate to show everyone how Green he is. Flip/flops between views (on his sign power station is crossed out on one side and ticked on the other). But back where no one can see he’s bathing in oil covering the very animals he is supposed to care for. Marco - Pharmaceuticals for all! Take these pills they’ll do... when in reality they do nothing but get you hooked and ruin your life. Jessica (Instagram model) - The beautiful model so desperate to look good for all her pictures but behind the scenes is miserable going through endless procedures to stay ‘loved’
Yes!! Thank you for you reaction!! So good that you got the general message in the video!! Nightwish (all the band members) did like for each song in this album a intro video explaning the general meaning of the song, you should definately see that videos. Tuomas presented this one in the countdown videos and in interviews that this song it's not to criticize the tecnology because we can do so many things. Tecnology can be used for so may good stuff that we should user her just for that! Tecnology is good when the use it's balanced and for the good reasons, and we on social media are so like immersed by ads, and just bad stuff that it's just NOISE to your brain and our lifestyle! the NOISE it's persistent in all plataforms and we should be careful and just enjoy the life, and not be too much time in the bubble! This NIghtwish album is really a open eyes, at least for me!! Truly Loved your reaction and i hope that you will do some research for the next song from this album!!! It's worth of the time loss!! Thank you again and have a good damn day out of the bubble!!!! ;) Cheers! (I'm portuguese soo, sorry for some of my english)!!

@@simonockwell3485 it was a gold toilet. Something Trump bragged about having in the 1980s. Also when Troy stands, that is the US Capitol building in the background

Great breakdown, man
Oh man, shoemaker is next. That's going to be a great reaction.
You have that so right !!
I can not wait!!!!! Shoemaker is....
Can't wait to see him react on Shoemaker ❤️❤️❤️
@@reeilona Shoemaker is Birthday und Christmas together in one Song 😍😍😍

Another cracking reaction. Just seven days, now - I *really* want to see the look on Chase's face for the end of Shoemaker.
Hihihi, i too 🤗👍
Oh yeah, Shoemaker, Tribal and Pan are the ones I'm hanging out for!!!
And Pan. Shoemaker is an emotional song, but IMHO Pan is the compositional masterpiece of this album.
@@ArumesYT mmh, from composing (only my opinon Music),floor Shoemaker..And full Nightwish Pan and Tribal..And then The song for Floor and her family Hows the Heart. Greetings from northern germany 🤗
Oh yeaaaah ❤️❤️❤️
Christmas every week! Thank you Chase for yet another gift.
I appreciate you both. Thank you so much for supporting. Please pass my best on to the boyfriend as well 🙏
Theres easter egg in the video to know whos the one from the band in the bathtub before tuomas reveal him self. You can see his other costume behind the tube on the left ;)
Tuomas was in the tub. He was the tree hugger that really wasn't a tree hugger. He represents how companies and some individuals alike talk about being environmentally conscious but are usually the worst offenders or are only doing it for clicks.
*EDIT*
And I see you got it at the end. Leaving it because I want to. :P haha
😂😂😂
When he was wearing the gas mask in the oil bath, the swinging of his head up and down kind of reminds me of an oil rig pumping?
@@Jakob-tf6kj wow i didn't even think about it, that's true!
That pump is called a nodding donkey ( another little bit of useless information to store away in the back of your head until later lol)
@@richardhall6034 In Dutch : "een ja-knikker" ( a yes-nodder, a yes nodding person )
When listening to the whole album in one go, there is no silence between Music and Noise. The soft ending of Music get blown up by the violent beginning of Noise (there is no soft intro like in the video). Startled me a few times. Definitely done on purpose (not thanking you Tuomas! 😡).
By the way, the "guy with the red light" getting bashed up is poor little Emppu 😥
Thanks for those few words about looking after each other.
This last segment where they show the life cycle from the baby-to grown person and the camera focuses on the horizon makes me tear up EVERY damn time.
Troy on his golden toilet with the crown he's taking off, having a very "funny hairdo" with on the screen behind him the white house... this video is exploding with all kinds off messages. absolutely love this song and video
The oil guy is none other than Mr. Holopainen himself, I think...
yep, you see him take off the mask actually :)
And if you look closely his "Green suit" is piled up on the barrels behind the tub.
Lol yes he said it was quite a nice afternoon shooting in a warm slippery bath or something like that lol. He got to just lay back and relax :)
Yeah, definitely think you got a point there. He's one of those reactors who seems to instantly pick up emotional intent and narrative in songs.
I addressed that very comment on his PATP reaction. Those who claim to not be emotional, have the higher level of emotional maturity!
@Goldy - Good for you, and what have you missed? Nothing.
Yep the bigger picture, an astute observation, to be applauded.
Oh man, not exaggerating but i think your reactions are the best, always so insightful and on point. You deserve a million subs.
You're the best! Also, I won't complain about the 1mill subs haha
This is definitely going to sound epic live ✊
"Sorry it's going to be a long one"
Which Nightwish video isn't going to be?
Bore us? Bro our Saturday plans are made around your Nightwish reaction. You completely overestimate my social life, but thanks it feels good 😂
I love your reactions so much. for me one big message from the song is "don't confuse virtual life for reality... go outside sometimes!" So on that note, watched my daily Chase (check!), now taking my dog outside to play! :)
Do you know what's going to be ironic?
Watch this song in live show and realize that everyone is recording the live with a damn cell phone. xD
They are the losers! ;)
I tend to do that and I hate it about myself. It's proven that people who do that will remember less of the show. That's why I always tell myself that I can only make 3 videos of 1 minute per concert
😂 That sort of happened at the Decades Concert in Buenos Aires in the beginning. But yes.
I can understand clicking pictures or recording something just before they start or at the end, but why do you have to record concerts on cam? You're there to enjoy the full experience and not to do videography.
Not me! I won‘t take it with me
I've listened to this album about 30+ times and I have to see it's great to watch it with you and go through things.
Noted! Sounds fun, will give it a look.
More thumbs up for Chase 😊👍
Juliette, you are always very kind. Thank you for the support.
@@ChaseCarneson The flirtation is palpable here! 😋
I feel the same joy you do when I hear a heavy guitar riff. Can’t wait to see you react to Tribal. There may be a little bit of research before the next song, Shoemaker. It pertains to Eugene Shoemaker, the only human interred on the moon.
"Step outside, the sunset's free."
'Addiction' is the word."
So not technology, but addiction as a whole!
Brilliant reaction again Chase...thanks for that-my Saturday night fix...love it..😊👍
I don't know how you can turn a 5 minute music video into a 20 minute video that only feels like a couple of minutes. Love it. Keep it up. 🤘
It's an awesome song indeed, I agree this will be mind blowing live. It's also quite a harsh social commentary on the video, I take it more as warning of what we might become rather than a reflection of reality today.
Ps. That's instagram model Jessica Edström if you want to...uhm, research...some more. ;)
Peszi to friends, I believe.
Hottest Blonde in the video is still Marco.

@@aenorist2431 This made my day :D Thanks. But for me, Emppu is the one....
Haha thank you James. Appreciate that.
Brilliant reaction yet again ! Can't wait for your take on Endlessness. One of my favourites from the album !
I appreciate you. Thank you very much!
Appreciate that. Always tough when it's music and a video but I really enjoyed this one.
In this video there's a LOT of things going onnall the time and one can only see so much on one take. But that's probably one of the ideas behind it; noise. Just like in today's life we have so many distractions disturbing our minds all the time.
The very ending is so great. It's understated, but sad as hell, without being melodramatic. Just a little strings, serving as a reflective denoument.
Speaking of easter eggs! Listen to this in mono and you hear after the sounds in the intro right before the music starts a female voice saying "Shut up!"
Incredibly insightful, very educational, and this would probably make my "classical music only" mother enjoy metal too!
'It reminds me of Game of Thrones'
YES! I think this every time I listen to it.
I'm also wanting to see this one live !!! Great Reaction as always ! Thanks so much ❤️
Aw, Chase, you could never bore us 😉 There is so much to absorb from this video and kind of hard to capture it all in one viewing as there is so much going on, but you seemed to get it in one go round! Can't wait to see the live versions of all the songs from the new album, but especially this one. Another great analysis Chase thanks.
Chase you are one of the best reactors i have seen, there are so mutch fakers reacting to nightwish to get the views the easy way. Respect to you keep up the good work.
Thank you for that Raimond!
Great reaction Chase. You picked up really many details, respect. One of the best videos Nightwish ever made. Can't wait to see it live.
Well lovely to watch...again 😁
I enjoy the small details you notice in the video's. There are not a lot of reactors, that see so many 😋 ow and you are on point about the meaning of this video...
If you follow the order of the album, strap in next week, that ending is something else ❣
Thnx man, have fun and till the next...🤘
Oh man, you are SO going to love Shoemaker! (and I probably mean that we'll LOVE your reaction to it :D)
Love the bit where the blonde lady (Jessica Edstrom - Fiinish IG celebrity and DJ) is windmilling and Floor is videoing it on her phone! 😂😎

Notice also how when they're living there "digital lives" the screen is cast pink (seeing life through rose tinted glasses) but their reality is more dark green/blue. Nice touch by the director there!

Brilliant Chase, just brilliant. (Richard here, pvt 2nd class, GVA) you got that really fast and the commenters have excellently filled in the gaps and visual metaphors, but there are some easter eggs to come.
I saw somewhere online, ironically , Toumas’ s thoughts behind this song. The nighwish website perhaps. You, chase have also parroted his views, the world is fascinated with social media but it should not take over our life’s. Maybe someone out there saw what I saw ? , it was so very intuitive and smart. Just like his music. The man is a genius 😉🤘.

Hahah Andrew, this made me chuckle.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,
The sixth member of Nightwish. Making every song even better.
hahah sshhh don't tell anyone.
I watched/heard this song dozens of times already, but those last 30 sec will always bring tears into my eyes
Btw... I love the "king/president" taking a dump on everybody :D
I always tear up on the last scene of the music video. 😭
U made Saturdays hard to wait, u r doing incredable reactions, big thanks Chase! Please dont stop with Nightwish Saturdays :) like dont ever stop :)
Peace out!
ghost river :) wacken :) weekend bonus :P :) love that one :) nice reactions man love it :)
Great reaction! This will be a killer song to watch them perform live.

Great reaction, Chase. Your analysis was brilliant, and spot on. You picked up on most of the major points of this song very quickly. And your remark about the young lady "Being cold" made me laugh! That is NOT the initial reaction I had when I first saw this video!
haha I'm just saaaaaying. 😁
Fun fact: They had to CG the green on Toumas's suit as they were using green screen. Great analysis Chase.
Hell yeah! Kickstart the weekend with a great reaction video to Nightwish. Can't wait until you get to Shoemaker and Pan. Although, IDK what will happen to "How's The Heart?", will it be the acoustic version, the album version or both 🤔
How's the Heart would a good double reaction.
(Nod to what we don’t see behind the scenes)
Empu - Someone who stands apart from the rest on social media and gets attract for it.
@Saina Karimi
- You have it. Commendable!
With Marko I also get a feeling of the MLM scams
Thanks sir, Your analysis are always very interesting!
Just a great breakdown of a Nightwish song, because of you I can hear things I didn't heart before.
