I literally cried. I played on that server for so long with many of my close friends in china, and I really felt a bond to that server. I also played on the main server, of course, but here was a place where me and many of my friends had so much fun. The times I had will never be forgotten. Thank you, Hypixel China, for the memories. I'm Chinese. Whatever you'd say about China's censorship, this has nothing to do with the CPC.
Hypixel is operated by Hypixel Studios, which is owned by Riot Games, which is owned by Tencent.
Tencent is a Chinese company, in fact, one of the largest in China and perhaps the world. One of their biggest rivals in Netease, which owns Minecraft China.
Is it hard to figure out why they shut it down? Think.
UW DP People are too obsessed with prc censorship shit.
Surely Tencent makes way more money of hypixel than netease does of hypixel or are you saying netease is the one that shut hypixel down? That also doesn't make sense. Surely Mojang is the one that makes that decicion and they would not allow that.
@@klo4880 Tencent might have asked Hypixel to withdraw, or it could simply be that the server isn't generating enough value. Since Minecraft China is free, and it requires a lot of money to host a server for a player base as large as China. It just doesn't make sense to relate to CPC, if you know their censorship guidelines well.
Mojang has very little control I would say about what happens for the Chinese version of Minecraft. If one side decides to close down Hypixel, as a pure business decision, there isn't much Mojang should or can be doing.
Hypixel Studios (owned by RiotGames, Developing Hytale) and Hypixel Network (Owned by Simon, Developing Hypixel Server) are not the same tho...
Hypixel Studios makes Hytale and Hypixel Inc. makes the server.

8:48 is when an end of an era happened. During the whole 2 months that Omicron was on Hypixel China we all enjoyed the videos that he made, it sucks to see Hypixel China or what the community called it "ChyPixel" go only after the 3 years and a few weeks that the server was up, that's a pretty decent long time. We will all (well most of us) will miss Hypixel China. Thank you Omicron making these few videos on ChyPixel before it got shutdown and then streaming the final hour of Hypixel China. Thank you. RIP Hypixel China.

Hello. I am a hypixel player and watching this made me extremely sad. I have made so many great friends and had so much fun on the network. I love my guild and all the hard work I put into playing. I can't imagine an entire community just destroyed by the click of a button. Incase you weren't aware China has a very bad system where people are constantly watched and judged. I am sure so many cherished hypixel China as somewhere they could feel more free and play with people they may never otherwise have the chance to meet. I respect their whole community and hope that the people who don't have it as good as some of us in their real lives had a good time on hypixel China. Goodbye 😭

I am a loyal player of Minecraft from China's NetEase agent. I was not online at Hypixel that day, but I knew that all players saw the painful moment when Hypixel was removed. This server has been with us for three full years, and almost all the data is On this server, but I always hope that one day Hypixel will be back on the shelves one day.

From what I’ve heard Chinese government don’t what Chinese players to play with people around the world so I guess they told Hypixel to shut it down idk
I don't know, I'm not super into the forums of Hypixel, but my best guess is that running two servers is hard when one of them averages at least 70k players for most of the day, and the other only has 3k... It's kinda like how Mineplex split their team in two, half working on the original java server, the other half going to bedrock; it killed _them_ in the end, so uh... yeah. Possibly something similar to that, but no matter the reason it's still super sad to see it go whether you actually played there or not. It's still part of the Hypixel server :(

This was enough to make me cry even tho I may not even be close to speaking ANY Chinese, you lost your most liked series and all the Chinese players lost all of their online friends and Guild Members. I would have spent hours on that server and if I had to see it go all to waste, it could be very upsetting. I just hate seeing all these ppl lose their work. So if anyone ever made a new Hypixel server for China that would be amazing. Shutout to all the Chinese and Stay Safe. At least everyone understood this and was respecting the fact that its their last time on the server.
