In Yakuza 7, one of the party chats, 84 I think, Kasuga talks about how he won a 1v20 in middle school. Obviously taken with a grain of salt, but if the idea is even there, then something had to happen.
I agree with the tierlist besides Kaito and Shinada. Personally wouldn't say Kaito is ahead of Akiyama, maybe around the same level as Tani and Shinada - the latter I gotta give credit because of the crazy fights he went through in 5. I'm really disappointed in the fact you forgot Taichi Suzuki though. That dude was a POWER HOUSE.
Its kinda mentioned in the beginning of like a dragon that ichiban is holding back and he nearly killed a dude with just his fists thats why its turn based he's pretty strong just not a lot of experience
Ukyo Tatsuya is correctly rated in my opinion, Technique wise i think he is problaby the best among the bunch, he was able to master 20 styles in a couple weeks and whilst in 0 Kiryu and Majima could do the same they were never shown to pick up additional styles as easily after that (Agent Style was learned over like a Year), also while Yagamii posses 4 styles they are all self taught whilst Ukyo did train with respective Masters to learn the basic styles. But hes never shown to be able to imitate styles easily like the Amons or such so thats arguably a weakness but he does pick up moves from his opponents like in the Mad Dog fight in Kurohyou 1 the dude has a biting heat actions which Tatsuya later uses in oneof his own styles. Physically well, hes obviously shredded and has very broad shoulders and a tighter waist (problaby good in classic physique bodybuilding), he doesnt have that many strength feats compared to Saejima and Kiryu still he is very tough, he can fight multiple opponentsand is also able to keep up even when injured (Mad Dog fight in Kurohyou 1 once again) Thats why hes perfect next to Majima whos basically the exact same: They both pick up fighting styles fast, they have great technique but lack in physical strength and arguably Tatsuyas combat speed is similiar to Majimas.
Sadly I don't think Tatsuya's feats cut it much now, while has defeated the most dangerous and iconic fighters throughout the world, like you said before none of them are Amon tier and the events of Kurohyou 2 take place around Yakuza 5 so that's where Tatsuya would cap for the series For reference in Yakuza 7, Nanba makes the ultimate statement that Tendo was the strongest boxer he's ever seen in the ring and that he would be the last person he'd want to face this would include early Kurohyou 2 Tatsuya and while Tatsuya did get stronger over the events of Kurohyou 2 there's not enough mainline scaling to suggest he'd get higher than Tendo Ichiban could beat Tatsuya in this regard because he beat Tendo even with Tatsuya's multiple fighting styles Ichiban still has his multiple job classes most of which give him more fighting styles than just Brawling & Wrestling
I’d say ichiban is quite strong, he knocked out tendo, and at the start of infinite wealth he single handedly beat up Yamai and all his goons. I’d be curious to learn more about his strength
@@addisonvaughan99 in my opinion 7-8 Jima brothers got nerfed quite a lot since they weren't at their prime long ago (Maybe 5) Majima and Saejima weren't in good condition while fighting Shishido but I think Shishido obviously has worse conditions (I honestly thought Majima is going to solo him but I was wrong 💀) So yeah, pretty much Kiryu in 7 is at least equal to both Majima and Saejima if not stronger (Cuz he soloed the whole Ichi group without being as tired as the Jima brothers)
I think all of them except joongi would be average, except nanba who is definitely the weakest except maybe Eri (not taking in terms of gameplay) although I reckon Adachi would be slightly above average because holy crap he's strong AF. Maybe not in a fighting context but in terms of physical strength he's probably close to saejima
Personally I’d put Kiryu and saejima on the same tier considering they fought twice (one in 4 another in 5 bear in mind the one in 5 neither of them were injured) and neither of them won considering they knocked eachother out in 5
I feel like Kiryu, Saejima, and Majima are about equals due to Kiryu and Saejima drawing in their fight and Majima and Saejima being at same level once Majima stopped holding back.
@@DW9427 what does this mean? If you’re saying kiryu gets stronger in these games you’re wrong. Past gaiden he stays about the same level of strength and is noticeable weaker in infinite
@@enzone1975 I’m saying Majima and Saejima straight up get weaker in them, which makes sense considering they don’t fight often in those games anymore unlike Kiryu.
Clearly Nugget is the strongest protagonist. Say what you will about Haruka but don’t forget that she took a hit by a car and didn’t end up crippled or severely injured after her recovery
Lowkey, I agree with most of this minus Majima, Akiyama and Tatsuya. Majima gets over gassed ngl. He’s definitely not a weakling but his greatest feats are defeating Awano and Lao Gui. He gets dogged by Kiryu every single canon fight they have, he gets dogged by Saejima and it’s not really close. Hell I’d argue he’s lower than Yagami considering judgements final boss is like probably the strongest final boss. Majima is solid but his feats don’t speak as highly as a lot of others should. Akiyama is average, akiyama has really no feats that are incredible considering his only real huge feat is fighting Kanai and his goons. But Kanai is kinda fodder compared to the other challenges the other protagonists face. Akiyama is fast but has nothing else to really show other than Arai but even then is Arai really a huge threat? Tatsuya should be either on par or slightly below Saejima, his second game final boss is legit Saejima level. A total beast of a man who could even give Kiryu a challenge. While I’d still argue Saejima out stats Tatsuya, Tatsuya is like a Kiryu lite. He has great stats and all rounder techniques.
Now, Kuroiwa being the strongest boss. A pre LJ character who got beaten by a concussed yagami is the strongest. I mean… let’s be real now. He has cool gun skill and decent H2H feats, there’s not much substantiating him being OP.
@@nota13xxsfbiagent32 I mean in the literal strength department, guy took a drug that made him capable of tossin Yagami out of a building😭 ngl I don’t think the drug makes him more durable but he’s for sure strong
They are symbolically equals, the Tiger and the Dragon in mythology are said to be two equal forces where one cannot overcome the other. It's why Saejima and Kiryu when fighting 1-1 never are given a clear victor with the Dragon being the more skilled but the Tiger with more strength. Saejima is the only character with the rare distinction of being Kiryu's equal.
In Yakuza 7, one of the party chats, 84 I think, Kasuga talks about how he won a 1v20 in middle school. Obviously taken with a grain of salt, but if the idea is even there, then something had to happen.
I’d put Joryu at Kiryu tier because joryu beat shishido and shishido was able to hold back both saejima and majima at the same time
That's why he's at the top of Supah Strong lol
Its heavily implied that Majima understimated him and was caught off guard so Saejima had to step in.
Nope majima was absolutely rusty and didn't expect shishido to be more than an average yakuza
Shishido gets wiped by Aizawa. Stop dreaming 😭
