  • PART 1 - OUTER HEBRIDES
Two years ago I enjoyed North Uist so much I decided to go back again this year, spending one week on North Uist to photograph mainly wildlife, and a second week this year on the Isle of Harris and Isle of Lewis, in the main to photograph landscapes. There was also an array of wildlife to be had on both islands, and I can see this becoming my annual trip.
Part 1 video condenses my journey up through Glencoe, and catching the ferry from Uig Isle of Skye to Lochmaddy North Uist. A quick run over one of my favourite roads (Committee Road), where it is quite possibly to see Short Eared Owls, Hen Harriers and Eagles. Finally I visit the local beach (Hosta) and assess the local wildlife on the loch by the cottage. Other than it looking like the local bathing spot for gulls, ducks and oyster catchers, not much else happened on this particular loch.
This video collates highlights caught throughout the day with the following equipment :
    Road videos : Gopro Hero 12 / Wildlife videos -Nikon Z8 / Nikkor 180 - 600 f5.6 - f6.3 lens.
    Photographs of wildlife : Nikon Z8 / Nikkor 180 - 600 f5.6 - f6.3 lens / Landscape images : Nikon Z8 / Nikkor 180 - 600 f5.6 - f6.3 & Nikkor 24 - 70 f4
Over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing my captures on all three islands. I hope you’ll come along for the adventure. If you like my videos, or you’d like to see future videos and the rest of the Uist / Harris / Lewis adventure please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel - Thank You.
