    As long as chat between players doesn't turn to disrespect, let them banter and vibe if they want to. There's conversations during in-person sports, there's conversation during FGC matches (Tekken, Street Fighter, etc); and there's conversation between world-class chess players when the format allows it. If a bit of chat makes the players happier, and happier players are more likely to try and/or succeed at crazy tactics... that sounds good to me.

    EtaN coming out with the professional core swing OMG!!!! 😱😱😱😱 Placing the robe as it's falling

  • @aytek1ng

    That was unexpected from Etan especially against a deadly opponent.

    In my opinion they have the skills to chat and take the game on the professional lvl. It can be somekind of mind games. in many kinds of sport they talk to each other. if one player dont want to do it they can just ignore it and do his stuff. it would be kinda unprofessional if one player spams the chat with stuff but short chat ping pong should be okay.

      I used profession Starcraft 2 as my biases. Almost zero talking between players. I find too much chat seems unprofessional, like they aren't taking it seriously.

      @@SynergyGamingTV in starcraft 2 i would say you need every apm you can get. but in forts you can spend a few apm for a few letters. of course it disturb a little bit the build orders but mind games can be a big part in tactics. if they just start to small talk im with you. thats unprofessional.

      @@elcordez6820 I completely agree with you. I have seen examples where professional SC2 players chat a little when something funny happens, but they don't have conversations. Glad we agree on that point :) Thanks again for watching.

    That core swing was awesome. The Replay commentary, too. Those inserts are soooo good!

    Etan just proving why he is the best player at the moment. Banter is all good and gives the players some personality.

    i *love* the banter back and forth between the players. Especially in places where there is a little downtime.
    The only thing I have to say about it is that from these top ranked players like matteo and etan, they are very friendly and positive, with short or humorous comments. If it was negative comments between players in a tournament, I think it would be an issue though..

    That core swing was legendary. with that move EtaN had a simple job to prevent Matteo from gaining a foothold on the lower island-ball from which he could reach his core.
    Even so, EtaN's core WAS damaged but a killing shot was out of reach for Matteo...

    Great video, but that sharp buzz when the replay window opens is one of the most agitating sounds I've heard.

    EtaN make a really risk great core swing. Btw he also missplay i think. He could can use energy shield reflector for laser counter i think on the core downside.

    Are there new players in this game, or is it mostly pros? I’m looking to get this game and want to learn it.

    • @SynergyGamingTV
      @SynergyGamingTV  3 года назад +2

      It’s mostly new players. Very few actual good players, many have left the game... Tons of opportunity to learn, however the game is very stagnant and not retaining a lot of players at the moment.
      Take a look at my tutorial videos!

    Again a kinda short match, but i think that coreswing and the final shots make up for it this time. Like a lot, that was awesome!

    In total etan lost 6 seconds in the core swing and he got he tech down before matt so its really why not do the core swing when the usual reason of falling back just doesnt apply

    • @SynergyGamingTV
      @SynergyGamingTV  3 года назад

      Why do you think he got the tech down before Matteo? What would the reason be for that happening?

    • @zockertwins
      @zockertwins 3 года назад

      He got less fewer mines than Matteo, so he is a bit behind because of the coreswing

    If a chess tournament allow discussions. I sincerely don't understand your POV.

    • @SynergyGamingTV
      @SynergyGamingTV  3 года назад +1

      Just a level of professionalism. Chess players rarely talk my friend, so that was a poor example.

  • @Visstnok
    @Visstnok 3 года назад

    I don't know about Forts, but in AoE3 there was always something to micromanage, observe, or just think out that would give you an edge. Very little room for talking. Though I do appreciate the chat as a little extra layer of mind games. It is a part of the game, and should remain for viewers to see. Although I do think the players should try to play their hardest and not use the chat as an insurance policy to save face. "Oh, I was just chatting the whole time. Is this a tournament?" It's a bit disrespectful when the caster puts in the effort on his end.
