I just returned to work for the first time since covid. I went from 15.50 an hour with 401k, healthcare and other perks to work that pays 8.50, has no benefits, and charged me 120$ for a uniform I have to return if I quit.. My old job died and this is now the best I can do in my area Fml

Women can seek out abortions if needed and they get a Medicare benefit paid to help with the cost. These conditions exist for all women in Australia. Yes, there are a few employers who try to avoid the laws for women in the workplace, but they will be taken to court once their actions are detected/brought to official notice. I just mention this normal arrangement for women in the workplace as normal and accepted for around 50 years now. I helped fight for these rights when I was a very young woman. No one is trying to take away these rights. Women are essential to the workforce. America - it's not hard or expensive to be decent. ✊🏻
