Nice Alex! Next time, at the end, play both audios for us to listen the before and after of the match :)

I'm curious how bad of a dip in viewer retention there is around the 8:05 mark?

Thanks for the great explanation of the reverb settings--clarified some of the mysteries of using reverb for me. Always appreciate the way you explain what the tool does and what are the effects of each setting. Super helpful.

Haha lol I just watched a video for a plug-in in a program that I might never use.
But like always on this channel this time was not wasted. I learned some pretty interesting things.

I know this is an older video, but I'm curious: are you able to apply that saved snapshot to a live production or is it only useful inside that specific plugin on pre-recorded stuff?

why those tutorials on sound plugins never say what program you need to get to use those plugins?

Very good video! Although the sensitivity of a mic isn't really what makes the difference in the amount of room/reverb in the recording. A condenser and a dynamic mic with identical pickup patterns would pick up the almost the exact same amount of room each after gain matching. People just tend to use dynamics more as close mics and condensers tend to have wider (or at least more uniform) polar patterns and more extended frequency ranges, which is really what makes the difference, not sensitivity. For a dynamic mic to pick up less room, it would have to somehow expand/gate the signal, where as in reality a dynamic mic often very slightly compresses the signal compared to a similar condenser, which is the opposite of expansion. Anyways, very informative video, I'm just nitpicking :) EDIT: And I can see how the difference in transient response and wider frequency range could be described as being more sensitive, but the problem is that there already is a pre-defined techical term called microphone sensitivity, which refers to the amount of signal you get out of the mic before any preamplification, which is not the same thing.

Gee, thanks for having me listen only to learn at the very end that it's only available for Pro Tools.

Ha, yes, I had a cricket or two that got into my place and I couldn’t find them to get them back outside!

@@axk lol it happens. but I have to ask the obvious question, did you record them? and by the way great break down of the plugin.

Maybe I better start using ProTools.
