The second and third songs that you list were done by Peter Cetera, formerly of Chicago, but a solo singer by 1985. Glory of Love was in 1986 and I Wanna Take Forever Tonight was in 1995, a duet with Crystal Bernard. Chicago had moved on with Jason Scheff, their lead vocalist from 1985 to 2016, 31 years, longer than anyone to date. He is the singer of this marvelous masterpiece. I admit that Peter Cetera is good as well, but just wanted to clarify that Glory of Love and I Wanna Take Forever Tonight were stand-alone Peter Cetera songs. However, You Come To My Senses was Jason Scheff as part of Chicago. Both good singers while with the Chicago Band or by themselves. I just wanted to clarify.
I'm really happy that I was one of those who grew up in the 80's and 90's, the best era of songs ever created. We who lived in that era are very blessed with these songs. Not like today's songs, it will make the listener going stupid.
I remember when I heard this song for the first time 91 blew me away Jason schef what a voice these songs so much meaning nobody I mean nobody does these anymore that's what,is wrong,in this world not enough, love songs written sung or thought of but these gems live on in my heart ty chicago
To me, Peter Cetera will "always" be the "better" lead singer for the group, but I've got to admit,...Jason sounded "absolutely awesome" in this "timeless, beautiful hit of '91."👍😎👊
You are fortunate. Hard to find new and prices high new. Used, more accessible. Out of print. I wonder if the remastered version from 2009 is on CD. The original is and that is all I could find the other day. Better late than never. Hooray Chicago and Jason Scheff.
It's made me feeling the past moments back of my life... Truly deeply meaning the word's came out of this song.. I can't believe it...almost made me cry.
Im still listening now in November 2019....im 46 now....gosh time never wait for us....they just keep on going chugging us along slowly but surely sometime without us realising....
@@marceloinustroza5795 They all were the best when Jason Scheff had recorded them. He kept Chicago the band on the map longer than any lead vocalist. Bravo to him and the band ensemble.
@@marceloinustroza5795 Yes, he was part of the Chicago ensemble that I had referred. Bill Champlin did complement the Jason Scheff vocals on the original studio recording and in live performances. They did a 2019 album together with that song as well. Sounds good. You might want to check that one for how they sounded in 2019 as well.
I can't believe Chicago has been around since I was a baby. I fell asleep and woke up to this song . So romantic. Brings tears to my eyes remembering how much I adore my husband and soulmate of 25 years. I have been fighting cancer for five years now so every moment is special.
I hope and pray you were cured. I had cancer on my tongue over 30 years ago but a dentist found it and sent me to a specialist. Two surgeries and radiation later, I was cured. God bless you!
Soft and melodic as only Jason Scheff could do. He could do edgy lyrics with a more aggressive sound, but this is just soothing sounds rarely found in the rock genre, mostly soft rock has it. Much more sophisticated and meaningful than the current crop of singers that make a lot of noise, but not much sense.
Heard this song for the first time in 1989, and 30 years later still amazing. 80s is the best.(Well, someone corrected me, this song was releases in 1991. 2 years missed. )
In early 90's I bought a tape "The Best of Chicago 21", this song was amongst them. I came to value that tape more than virtually every possession I had then. My girlfriend knew that I liked the tape so much (I played it first thing in the morning and while going to bed) that when I had a misunderstanding with her, she requested nothing else as a parting gift but that tape. Amidst tears, she walked away and I never saw her again neither could I find the tape for replacement...
Strange story, to say the least. That is a wonderful album. The cassette, sometimes the vinyl, and usually the compact disc is sold used and new online. Often expensive new, a deal used. Even though it is out of print. it is still sold. That is the regular Chicago 21 album, to which I refer. It is too bad that the girl and the tape got away. That big store online, I think you know the one that sells the most of every product that exists, has copies of many Chicago albums, this one included.
my favorite song ever..best song to hear when i am alone and reminiscing the wonderful past i had experienced...i thank you wherever you are now..but your not forever lost cause i keep you here in my HEART...

I cannot understand why this was not a runaway hit for them, that whole album, for that matter.
To me, Peter Cetera will "always" be the "better" lead singer for the group, but I've got to admit,...Jason sounded "absolutely awesome" in this "timeless, beautiful hit of '91."👍😎👊
Today its end of Sept'2019...YES I'am still listening it. I'm 42.

Music nowadays cant compare to timeless classics like these
Yes. True
truly, old music like this one of circa 80's were the best ever, today's music nothing but a noise pollution
Today's music sucks, that's why the generation is so fucked up.
Music today sounds like a fly on your ear that won't go away.
👍🏻
Love listening to this every day.. brings back childhood memories..
Every time I listen Chicago's music I say " I love this one" then another one plays and I say the same thing😁
I guess I love all Chicago's songs😀💜💜
Im still listening now in November 2019....im 46 now....gosh time never wait for us....they just keep on going chugging us along slowly but surely sometime without us realising....

Pretty calming for a rock song. Their Jason Scheff ballads were the best, especially this album.

This song is very nice. I always like this song.
I've never been an avid fan of Chicago, but this song is very very good!!
I became a fan because of songs like this song and the others on the same album.
I can't believe Chicago has been around since I was a baby. I fell asleep and woke up to this song . So romantic. Brings tears to my eyes remembering how much I adore my husband and soulmate of 25 years. I have been fighting cancer for five years now so every moment is special.

Hi, Rebecca! How are you doing now? Hugs and God bless you! Your husband must be a good man for you to adore him. May he be blessed too!
I hope and pray you were cured. I had cancer on my tongue over 30 years ago but a dentist found it and sent me to a specialist. Two surgeries and radiation later, I was cured. God bless you!
Loved this Chicago hit..very nostalgic for me..reminisce many moments with this song..feel the longing and lost of love..
We need more songs like the one's in the 80's!!
what a voice its just very soft and very melodic to the ear, love this song so much.

90's was the greatest era of good music...and i proud be part of it 😄👍
This was a carry-over sound from the 80s, released in 1991, remastered in 2009. No matter the year, soft, soothing, romantic, wonderful.
