I agree about the making coffee thing at home. The Bible says, "Redeem the time for the days are evil" which translated means, "Buy back your time for the days are tough" but I don't think that typically applies in this case. It takes quite a bit more time usually to get your coffee at a shop than just making it at home, even if you were already on your way there.

I've been doing majority of these for all my life. I go to the grocery store 1-2 times max per month very strict with do I have money for that. Self control goes a long way in things when you realize that you don't truly need those things. I don' tmeal plan per say but do know lots of recipes that work for me and buy in bulk and on sale for probably 95% of the things I buy and make food according to what's on sale and make it work. I used to be a cook and know how to cook from scratch (none of the unhealthy highly processed junk) making it taste better and cook in big batches to eat for multiple days. No problem with leftovers here, it saves me time, energy & money. Knowing the pricing on things with apps like Flipp to save of groceries. Otherwise I don't do the apps and use cash for everything. Learn the roads and know whether backroads can get you there quicker will also save you money on gas and save time. I used to drive fro a living and knew my area better than my coworkers so saved on gas and got more deliveries in less time so that helps. Go with free apps like Tubi to watch movies for free with ads but who cares it's how we grew up and can do something in that commercial time like switch a load of laundry etc. Basically go back to how we grew up in the early 80s and save money.

Anyone that says “cut out meat” doesn’t understand nutrient density whatsoever. The people “feeling better “ all they did was for the first time in their life’s start watching what they ate. And anyone watching what they eat will obviously improve their diet in some fashion 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do non-asians eat tofu because they truly like the taste of it or because of other reasons such as cheaper, or dietary preference so it's the only protein they can eat? I love my meat, but I love tofu too cause I grew up eating it so it's very yummy, I never eat tofu because of $$ reason or because it's vegetarian

Down here in Georgia, our water bills are based on how many thousands of gallons of water we use. Letting the water run while you brush your teeth uses a few gallons per month. It has no actual impact on the bill. Similarly, running the dishwasher a dozen extra times per month does not use enough water to make a difference in the bill. Neither does flushing the toilet, even if you flush it 4 extra times per day. So there's no benefit to "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down".
The shower, the swimming pool, and the sprinklers constitute 90% of the water usage.

If you have the option check out competitor rate once a year or so as you get a better rate as a new customer or your existing will usually offer discount if you tell them you are leaving. Saves $100 per month on auto insurance just recently.

In my working life, I never saved. I was pondering today what happened…
I realized I never saved again after my mom took my savings to buy cigarettes. What was the point? It would just get taken.
Now I need to undo 40 years of thinking. But I know I can!!!

I completely disagree about doing take out instead of eating there to save on tip, if you’re only going out say once a week or less I say eat there make it an experience something you enjoy doing, not eating it in a take away box. Enjoy getting dressed up, being waited on, not doing dishes, and the person you went with.

Not everyone can be vegetarian or eat tofu. Promoting vegetarianism as if it has health benefits is becoming a very popular thing to do, but it’s misguided. Especially for people with diabetes and other metabolic health issues.
Also, consider fruit as a dessert. Fruit is sweet and more expensive, but people think of it has a health food.
Intermittent fasting will actually save you money.
For vegetarians, look for foods that are rich in vitamin B12. That would be yoghurt and milk and eggs.
B12 is not found naturally in vegetables and it’s necessary for proper brain function and mood regulating.
But yes, plan your family’s meals, make a list, stick with the plan.

All generics are not the same. Generic mustard and ketchup, is not the same.
    Eat less meat? No.
Nothing wrong with eating out once in a while.
Shutting your lights off maybe save a dollar or two a month.
Letting your water run while brushing your teeth will save you pennies. The average cost per gallon is three cents for every ten gallons.
