Kyle and Fray are great representatives of the Michigan fisheries. I love watching these guys on RUclips and always enjoy their educational content. Michigan Fish On!!!!!
Love seeing my home rivers get some well deserved attention. I'm glad you guys got to witness first hand some amazing fishing we have to offer her in Michigan! Honestly, this has to be my favorite Michigan Steelhead video, we need to step our game up here LOL
Excellent fishing! Love your jet rig with the kicker. I've only fished the Pere Marquette at Baldwin. Kings. I legit caught one brown. Flossed a couple spawned out kings felt bad for them.
Welcome to Mich! Been fishing Steelies in those waters for over 40 years….. Guided there for over 10 years. Fantastic fishery! Oh By the way there are Brook trout, browns, rainbows, Coho, Kings, Pink salmon, Atlantic salmon, Lake trout galore…..and much more. Best in world Muskie, Walleye and smallmouth fishing too. Those winter fish have typically been in the river since late October, and they get colored up. Chrome fish are in the river late October and November, and then another push comes in the river in the spring…and often in January if we get a thaw and a little melt-off. As a fly-fisher it’s Hard to beat small flies…little black stone, green caddis larvae, Hexagenia nymphs, Hare and copper…and of course yarn eggs.
Great trip and I couldn’t be more happy that you hooked with Kyle. I watch his channel as well and his pure joy and great laugh make watching super enjoyable.
Great video guys!👍 Glad you came to Michigan to enjoy some of our GREAT Steelhead fishing please come more often and we can share each other’s expertise. Tight lines 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
I smiled for an hour and a half watching you guys fish the same spots I hit. The perspective of fishermen from the parent waters of our fish strain was interesting. Did anyone else notice 5 hats/hoods at 1:29? Ya do what it takes to catch steel!
Recognize many of the streams and holes...Grew up in Michigan...Love these guys energy and enthusiasm - a lot like my buddies and I were when we were younger - ENjoy boys and thank you for the memories!
Right now, you are never more than 20 miles from a steelhead stream here. We gottem like bass boys. A true turn hook, waxworms, split shot, slip, or rocket bobber!
These destination movies of going to rivers unknown and figuring them out in a few days as well as the life of traveling there and back. As well as getting gear dialed to travel and then having to dial it in when getting there. Enjoyed this one 👌
Yes!! I’m late to the video but I’m here!!! After getting a divorce last year and losing everything, even my reason to live!! You guys remind me life isn’t over, I have so much to see and explore with my own two feet!! THANK YOU ADX!!! PNW LOVE!!
Great movie guys, and glad you had a good time in my home state. Thanks for giving some respect to our fish. Seems like most of the folks who bash GL steelhead have never fished there. You were fishing to winter fish which don't fight as hard as fall or some spring fish. It's a water temp thing. I've seen some fish take off on 200 yard runs never to be seen again, porpoising all the way. It seems like in order to get those real blue back/bright silver fish you have to fish them in November. It only takes a couple days in the river to color up like the ones you were catching. Anyway, thanks for the entertainment. Glad you had a good trip.
Love this video featuring all my home waters. Love the B.M and the P.M. Thanks for visiting Michigan, hope you enjoyed our amazing fishery. Please visit us again real soon.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who tangles their bobber and gear rods together when I get down to the water. Great video everyone. Glad you hooked up up with Fray I’ve been watching his content for a couple years now and it’s some good stuff.
I like the way each individual angler is focused on. The style of the video almost gives a competition feeling to the audience as well putting a personality and angling style on the angler that finds success. The combination or Jordan, marlin, and the other guy is very complimentary to each other.
Michigan now knows of jig and prawns! You’ve gone and done it!!! Glad I had a down evening to watch the whole episode. Love steelhead no matter where you catch them!
First year steelhead fisherman here, I used a tiny bit of pink yarn and a spawn sack earlier this season and I could not keep them from biting. Landing them was another story....but I did land one my first season and I'm still after it yet.
Christmas Story edit was hilarious. Props. Enjoyed the whole movie actually. N.W. Montana here on a snowy day building tackle. Tight lines and happy holidays to all the fishers out there!
Cam's fish that damn near straightened the hook, Cam catching his first centerpin fish, and the Washington gear were the highlights of the trip to me. Love these other content creators, too. Frey and Kyle/Maggie... Lit.
Growing up here in south west Washington, my best friend from high schools dad lives in michigan. My buddy would go for steelhead and bass and like if I remember correctly. This video is so well put together. Thank you for making and sharing it. So awesome. And now you can call Cameron , Cameron on point... He nailed this video. Good job to you all. My first ever steelhead came from the wind river njeer the pipeline. 14 lbs buck. I thought it was small and I was always trying to figure it out. For me it's by far my largest ever steelhead. Go figure. Tight lines...
Great video fellas! I have fished MI chromers for years traveling from Cali. It's definitely a destination! Shoulda fished the river where you guys landed though, it's AWESOME!
Can't remember if I ever watched a whole fishing movie. Lemme tell you (Chicago dialect) I really enjoyed watching you guys. You had such a good time! I imagine the local ale was good at night. Michigan is my favorite state. Clear lakes and sand from millions of prevailing westerly winds and few mosquitoes and Flys. Look forward to watching more of your episodes. Keep up the great work!
Hey guys EJ Jigs here we’re a friend of Kyle and we make jigging spoons here in Michigan! Loved the video! Next time you make it to Traverse City shoot us a message we’d love to get you guys jigging big lakers or salmon!
You guys I can tell really enjoy the sport, good times with freinds and good food, man I cant wait Im going to erie tribs in march, will be float fishing egg sacks and minnows and nymps. fishing with Fray and Kyle was a real treat I follow both of those guys on you tube learned alot from them, yea they are steelhead and they fight hard in Erie also the first time I hooked one I was hooked and Im a striper fisherman, Great vid movie keep them coming, Great fun to watch.
The Glory of God the Father and redemption of Christ Jesus… The excitement your crew shows for fishing is EXACTLY like me, 30 years ago… It’s like looking in a mirror!!!
Absolutely love seeing you guys pick up a pin. As a steelhead alley fisherman I love to see you guys fish stuff our style! I'm still waiting for you to hitvthe alley though!
Hard to beat Michigan if you are an outdoor person. 53% forested. (9 million acres) 1,700 miles of continuous Great Lakes shoreline. 4,300 lakes. 12,000 miles of rivers. 300 waterfalls.
Michigan sucks lol. Our fishery was sort of a secret before the frickin internet. Now parking spots that once had four or five cars on a Wednesday morning in March will now have 15. Just sayin. Great video guys
Interested to see the differences in this movie from the different parts that were already released. It’s so cool to see you guys fish Michigan cuz I recognize most of the spots you guys are fishing.
Haven't even seen the content yet and I'm commenting! Thanks for honoring Michigan on video. Will enjoy this and this is firing me up for an early spring chromer.
Getting stoked watching this vid, as I ready for my first Steelie trip this weekend. I'll be fishing in some of the same places you were, and hope I do as well as you did !
As a Wisconsin angles I would love for you guys to come back to the Midwest and fish Wisconsin tribs. As a young angler that’s still learning I would enjoy seeing you guys figure out the bite, it would personally help myself out a ton by just learning new methods of madness!
I truly do enjoy these movies you guys have done as well as the addicted life episodes. Definitely love all the Jordan catch and cook/forage videos. Might I request on behalf of many that you guys do a destination video on Argentina Brown Trout. So many options for that adventure but always been a dream of mine and many others thanks to write-ups in SST magazine and others over the years.
As a B.C. angler I'm stoaked to see Cam pick up the pin and get some fish. Would love to hear what he thinks about pins vs spinning reels/baitcaster reels. I started fishing a pin last year and I'm absolutely hooked, rarely ever touch my baitcatsers now. Awesome video as always, love the content!
@@Jfldhryeah I know they are the norm out that way, but from what I understand they aren't super common in the pnw below the 49 parallel. The addicted guys use spinning rods a lot for float fishing which is really uncommon up here in B.C.
I'll make it easier on ya next time you visit. Theirs a dam at a place called fish ladder park in Grand Rapids Michigan where I was born. The steelhead and salmon stack up there like you wouldn't believe. You can fish the bank or boat and everyone catches fish there its my favorite place for all species. Massive pike, huge smallmouth and of course the salmon, steelhead and brown trout. Most people fish floats but theirs so many snags you'll get hung up alof if you dont really know that area of the river. I use a deep diving thunderstick Jr and steelhead literally swallow that lure, they love it. Theirs enough fish for everyone, no need to keep it a secret. Now you know! Hope to see a video of you guys there someday
Awesome video. Always good to see Shawn on the receiving end of the camera as well. Cool to see some familiar faces also. I am an Oregonian but love xxl and frays channels
Probably the 20th time I've watched this one and I still love it. I'm heading up to one of the rivers you fished the last week of August for early salmon and I hope sometime you go back there after kings! That place is heaven for chinook!
Just could not stop watching it awesome video.Thx for making it and thx for stopping by my home state.Had been 4 hours long probably wouldn't pause it lol.

Slicing off the Patagonia logo was legendary. Respect 👌🏻
Whats the story behind slicing the logo off?
I was wondering if anyone mentioned it. @phil I believe it has to do with their propaganda hatchery video they published a couple years ago.
My big question is did you guys eat any of them and what's the taste difference from PnW steel
Seriously some of my favorite things ever to watch!! Love it
