I have watched you for a while but not commented much but now I can finally say it. THANKS TO YOU IM OUT OF SILVER I don't think you understand this happiness and I am very grateful
It's not really that he's arrogant, it's more the character that he is in those videos. It's alright not to like him, everyone has his preferences. What I think is more relevant is the fact that this series is a continuous series of videos relevant to people that want to get better at CS:GO, while TheWarOwl only really goes into details per video, rather than covering all the basics. This series is the perfect get-into-CSGO-guide.
LongHairedHuman If you've watched his stream you'll see he's an okay/good player, while in his videos he looks like a pro, the almighty god of cs:go. (this isn't necessarily a bad thing)
Team leader- "Caliber, JD, and Phlegm go dual barreta's" Rest of team- "Nice joke man, we're doing a save round" Team leader- "Do what I f**king say and suppress mid! Dauze(me), get a flash and armour and left flank." I was completely hopeless that we would frag anyone this round- but I went along with it anyway. The guns started blazing, and the enemy took cover when dozens of pistol rounds flew their way (not like they'd do much, anyway) and as I was lining up a headshot he shouted "FLASH- X(our word for cease fire)" and ran up behind them as they smacked their heads into the wall and got 3 knife frags before getting shot with a P-90 that I then sprayed down. Next round we did a full buy on a round we should have been saving. xD Teams are awesome.
heh. i got comp banned for 7 days because i did too much damage. My team made me throw a molotov and they all purposely ran into it. This was yesterday. Yeah.
oldest trick in the book always buy a smoke and a moltov, never let your teammates go infront of you. i get seven day bans because this happens many times in a row or i get kicked alot by a four man que.
regardless of the reported statistics 9 mins is not a long video when the content is interesting. i would quite happily watch a half hour video of yours , excellent work thanks for sharing
Fantastic video as always Philip. Maybe (for the next video of this type) if theres a list of things like this; conclude the video with a recap of all the steps required. In this case, end it off with maybe a flowchart or graphic of some sort listing each of the aspects of teamwork you mentioned. *Then* end the video. These videos, while aimed at beginners are very helpful by the way. Thank you for making them.
Yeah I saw it, but as you know, unfortunately most people don't haha. That makes sense, but it wouldn't have to be very long. Just a quick bullet point style thing similar to the one in the description to drive the message home at the of the video. Either way is cool, just a random thought I had. Cheers!
great GUIDE !!! great job, this would really help community alot. I have played with some complete beginners, but as long as communication worked, we mostly managed to make our way out of defeat or complete beating, also, sometimes even managed to win. these videos and guides is the best thing, for community, and to watch ;d, there is just one big catch, it is not written and spoken in russian language :D
Best teamwork: A. Teammate rushes out for a 1v1 B. Teammate starts getting shot C. Rush out to finish off enemy D. Teammate died, but you got that filthy russian.

Play for the team, not for yourself. Your score doesn't matter, winning the game does! Klik mentioned this, but this is by far the most important tip. If one of your teammates goes out of cover, don't leave him, even if it was a stupid move, you can still provide cover fire.
After many years of playing league of legends, I have heard about this game but never really fancied it. my friend wanted to play a little so we did, and I JUST LOVED IT. so I decided I want to go and watch some videos online explaining how to play better, and after seeing this video, I can be positive that I am never playing competitive. the amount of teamwork that can be done in here is much more than in league of legends. and if in league of legends nobody plays together, I don't wanna see what it's like playing here. and the option to kill your own team? In Mirage Apartments, there is a place where you can wallbang. Sometimes, CT smokes apartments or throws fire, etc. So what I do is go to the penetrable wall, and I start to spray the truck, even if there was an enemy spotted there, when it works (Because it doesn't work everytime), people call me cheater, so, don't try it everytime. But it works.
1:41 This spray pattern here *perfectly* represents my time in CS:GO. I'll be crouched standing still behind cover with an M4A1-S, and this will happen. I'll hit them, maybe, but I'll rarely ever actually kill them unless there's a miracle involved. But most of the time I don't get the kill, and then I want to cry.
First: Thanks a lot for all your guides. I love then :) As you don´t have any skins I guess you do not like the system? Could you make a video about that?
3kliksphilip gj on not buying skins philip. I think they are a gigantique waste of money, and I can't believe that everyone is so obsessed with them (especially streamers, and youtubers)
This was very helpfull, thank you I started to play cs back on 1.5 and went on on 1.6, however never played source and the last time I even played cs was back in 2009 so I'm trying to ge back in the game as cs go seems pretty interesting.
I'm not sure if this counts, but as a good player playing with ..less high ranking friends. Instead of carrying completely by killing everyone, I'll focus on acting as in game leader, calling strats during and before rounds start. My friends quickly started getting much better!
I constantly bait myself for the good of the team, if no one wants to run in, I'm your guy! Even though I rush in, usually no one follows, so I can get at least 1 kill so my team can enter.
I always call myself the support gunner, I always rush in second after a nade, lay down suppressing fire and draw all the attention to me. Also always the one screaming "go go go, rush rush rush".
i realised today that teamwork and communication is what cs go is all about. soloing every game, i matched with idiots that were silent and didnt even type info, or speaking foreign language, however, luckily, i found a team soloing. all mics on, decent and able to communicate. as we didnt know each other, we only communicated and didnt really have any teamwork requiring strats. btw i only play inferno. and i add good players rrom my team and the enemy team to play togheter :D it is now very nice, we boost on inferno on sick spots, we nade and gun togheter and i find it just a lot easier with a team that can teamwork. so im giving you a big tip here, play solo untill u find some nice guys, and keep collecting these nice guys to line up a nice team. since i got this new team, even if we are all from different countries communicate frequently and ask for drops, boosts, nades, and time perfectly. now i get nice win sprees and we smash anybody who is against us. also dont get mad. keep on playing and focus on ur aim, if u mad u gonna forget all the patterns, nades, everything. dont go silent, be the first guy to say hi team. u will always get at least 2 other answers. oftenly people are shy and dont use their mics at first, and they just go silent the whole game. so, here is a list of what u need to do: 1. dont be shy. communicate always. 2. always perform as a team. dont go full blyat by urself and stick with your mates untill u push toghether 3. add the guys u likes from the game and benefit from each other. 4. train before going comp. at least 2 deathmatches. 5. if a teammate asks for a favor from u, help him out, dont stack 16k$ and say no like a guy i met did. 6. keep calm and spray shit. dont go mad. thats all. happy ranking up.
I played casual for the first time after years of just death match and I went with the scout and AWP and mostly protected A on Dust 2 and while I was top scorer while my team were alive I was almost always the last person in CT alive (in deathmatch I just don’t die, I know how to survive and average 8:1 with my best being 52:1) and I hadn’t realised that others will hide and take kills and that explains why people initiated kicks against me (none of them have gone through because those who died early are able to see me kill at least 2 enemies per round but as much as 5 (in casual)) because they think my contributions have all been after everyone has died
It's funny because you were talking about dealing with teamates last game I was doing really well and doing better than the rest of the team so the 3 premade people decided to kill me so I couldn't get any kills and them said "KARMA" for no reason. LOL.
I once had a guy who was baiting the entire team like crazy. I repeatedly called him out on it, saying how convenient it is he is always at the back. At one point i told the rest of the team to never be in front of that guy, and always let him be entry frag. We spent 1 full minute walking back and forth because the guy refused to peek any corners, or rush.

One time somebody said B rush on comp, I had the bomb and we all went b, after that somebody smoked and people started rotating to cat I said B rush! They still went cat I jumped out of the smoke (Dust 2) in tunnels and mp7ed some guy to my left there was still 1 more guy on site and I killed him as he was leaving, magically my team suddenly appeared. Magic.
thanks you so much. this is very useful guide for new player like me. Can you make more guide about how to use Ak or AWP . i can't use AK properly and always lose 1 vs 1 against by m4 in mid range
Yes, but you're trying to get the point across that doing less achieves more; saying that ”doing more achieves less" is an indirect way of saying the same thing. Kind of like using double negatives when they aren't not unnecessary.
Kobra Arboc They are equal statements. I think it jarred a bit there because in the sentence before he was talking about saying less and keeping it simple, and then he switches the perspective; i.e to say more would be less. But its not technically adding unnecessary language as a double negative would be; just takes a tiny bit more mental effort to untangle the meaning.
oh right misread your comment as stating he was literally using double negz, gg wp. But still dont think the way he put it detracted, if anything makes you focus in a bit more on the meaning of what he's saying

My way to prevent annoying people with my rage is by not raging XD
If you rage your performance will go down a lot, so try to stay calm
thanks you so much. this is very useful guide for new player like me. Can you make more guide about how to use Ak or AWP . i can't use AK properly and always lose 1 vs 1 against by m4 in mid range
I couldn't understand a single word, but u r good👍
"More is less", you meant "less is more"?
Yes, but you're trying to get the point across that doing less achieves more; saying that ”doing more achieves less" is an indirect way of saying the same thing. Kind of like using double negatives when they aren't not unnecessary.
I think he got his point across
Kobra Arboc They are equal statements. I think it jarred a bit there because in the sentence before he was talking about saying less and keeping it simple, and then he switches the perspective; i.e to say more would be less. But its not technically adding unnecessary language as a double negative would be; just takes a tiny bit more mental effort to untangle the meaning.
TheOscarsClub Yeah exactly; hence why I said:
>Kind of like using double negatives when they aren't not unnecessary.
oh right misread your comment as stating he was literally using double negz, gg wp. But still dont think the way he put it detracted, if anything makes you focus in a bit more on the meaning of what he's saying
Teamwork in Train: Everyone buy flash>throw flash at everyone>spray and pray>die>repeat. Every goddamn time
We already discuss strats directly after our last mad faded, so there are no strats ruined.
I'm a silver 2 and I've had surprisingly good communication, planning and buy coordination. With some exceptions of course
I have the game installed, but I don't even play it and I'm still watching these. Wut
