Thank you once again to Nephi for reacting to my tagalog song cover and this is the third time you react with your sincere reaction. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 you are amazing. I love Filipino and i love all their artist. Stay safe Nephi❤️.
I can't agree more with Nephi, you are not only pronouncing like filipino but also sound like us, let alone the sweetness of your voice. Beautiful rendition; you deserve a place in the music industry. I am happy to learn that you are not prohibited to indulge in music unlike those muslim countries like Iran or Afghanistan wherein music is a taboo. Speaking of Afghanistan, I am so sad that women there could no longer pursue their dreams in life.
I would have mistaken her as Filipino if I didn't know she's Malaysian. Her pronunciation and accent is spot-on. Great singer. Love her interpretation of this song.
It's easy for Sabahan to sing the filipino songs with a good pronunciation because of the accents (most of the races in Sabah) almost similar to filipino accents. Sometimes peoples outside of Sabah thought that we speak in filipino when we speak in our native languages such as Kadazandusun, Murut, Bajau etc.
I proud of you ms eylia, im a filipino, im here in manila philippines, but i was born in kuala lumpor malaysia, and a one of my favorite song malaysian songs..
Where I grew up in Sabah, quite a number of people are of mixed parentage - Malaysian Filipino and on television in the late 90s it is quite common to see Tagalog telenovela on TV - Mula sa Puso, walay walang nang wakas, sa sandaling kailangan mo ako - those are what I remembered - these experiences also make it easy to pronounce Tagalog words
I am from philippines she is so good. she looks like a filipino too.... i agree with you sir her pronunciation is like real filipino too... keep up the good work.
She has very good dynamics, especially in the first verse of the song. And her vibratos are to die for, ughhhh. Sana all, miss Eyliaaaa. Love from Philippines
parang Pilipino sya. from listening to her singing you would not think she is a malaysian. shes good! i like her i will definitely subscribe in her channel.
Yay...i knw what i think sabahan quite easy when comes learning and pronouncing other languages.. ya malaysian love outside sinetron drama series karelesyon hahaha... And i my self can speak abit tagalog.. we learn from jericho rosales n christine hermosa hhhaha... Gusto ko ikau malaman hinde ako pinoy pero pwede ako magusap magsalita kahit kunti lang..kadazan dusun ako masama kay elyia.
Sign her up Nephi! She'll be a superstar in the Philippines... INSHA'ALLAH! Manage her. Guide her. About time for you to have great singers under your wings dude! ☺️
Nephi honey get hold of yourself. We're all impressed this girl nailed it in the delivery of the song to such extent that we can mistake her for being one of us. She obviously did her research and practiced a lot. No big deal. You're reactions are precious though. Love love love this channel.
Hi Nephi...I just like to share with you that we're the closest Malaysian state to The Philippines, and lots of similarities in the Malay and Tagalog language. You may not know it, but our languages in Sabah have more in common. For e.g. in Dusun...manuk(chicken), tasu(dog), sawo(spouse), bobog(beat), and the numbers are almost the same. Either geographical proximity or some other reasons. There're a lot more words which I can't remember offhand...and yes, I used to be a hardcore viewer of Tagalog movies. And having Filipino friends help in picking up the language. So I guess that explains in part, why Eylia, can quite easily sing the Tagalog song. If you visit Sabah, you maybe able to understand what I'm saying. Also our Malay is different from the Malay spoken in West Malaysia...closer to Indonesian Malay.
If it was not mentioned in the the title of the video that she’s Malaysian, I would not have known. Did not detect a different accent. Good job and pretty as well.
FYI nephi, we Sabahan from Malaysia hv many culture, many races here in Sabah. There's a lot of filipino here in Sabah working here. So, lots of us here know a bit of tagalog languages. And some Sabahan fluently can speak in tagalog bcoz mostly hv become friends
malalaman mo kung foreigner ang kumakanta ng tagalog kung ang pronunciation nila sa word na (ko, ikaw, kulang and etc) medio may twang, pero sa kanya kuhangkuha niya. Galing nya.
🤩😍🥰 🇵🇭❤️🇲🇾 ... ✌🏼😅 I guess it's easy to transition in terms of pronunciation from Bahasa Melayu dan/atau Bahasa Malaysia atau Bahasa Melayu Malaysia to Filipino at/o Tagalog and basically most of any other non-foreign and non-creole languages of and from the Philippines, because most of these languages are linguistically closely similar and related, belonging to the Malayo-Polynesian branch or sub-branch of the Austronesian language family, and these languages have or share almost all or most/the majority of sounds, except with some of the nuances in some of the pronunciations of most of the vowels (ex. e, i, o and u) and the some pronunciations or some other pronunciations of some of the consonants (ex. c, f, g, h, j, l, ñ, q, r, v and z). 🤔 So, Ate Eylia's pronunciation of Filipino words is not that much of a surprise to/for me, but what surprises me is her diction, enunciation, intonation and articulation of most Filipino words, which is almost the same as a native speaker of Filipino at/o Tagalog, though I can still listen her accent as someone not of or from the Philippines, especially in her accent or pronunciation of the letter 'l' ("el") and its sound, but I also let it as a unique, personal and individual pronunciation, accent, variant/variety or an idiolect. 🧐 These are just few to some nitpickings I can critique, point, notice and think of from Ate Eylia's use of the Filipino national and official language and/or Tagalog regional language, because there's nothing more I can critique, point, notice and think of, even if I try my best and try so hard. 😅 I personally can't critique, judge, point and/or nitpick her singing and the likes, because I am not a singer at all, not even an amateur or the likes and whatnots, so I just focus on her use of the language, because I am a second or third language speaker of Filipino at/o Tagalog, though I am not any language, communications or linguistics expert, scholar, professor, researcher and the likes or whatnot and whatsoever. 👋🏼😄 I am a native Mindanaoan myself from Mindanao and she can say that she's a Filipina from Mindanao who sings Filipino songs in Filipino at/o Tagalog, and I would totally believe her. 😃 I live in a city here in Western Mindanao area, which is a region or area close or even closer to Sabah, Malaysia than most of the other areas, regions or places in the Philippines, and some of our languages here in our region or area even sound like, similar, close or even closer to Bahasa Melayu dan/atau Bahasa Malaysia atau Bahasa Melayu Malaysia and maybe other languages and dialect of and from Borneo, and few to some or even some more of our people orbl residents here in our region or area understands and speaks or can understand and speak or communicate in Bahasa Melayu dan/atau Bahasa Malaysia atau Bahasa Melayu Malaysia in varying extents, levels or degrees of proficiency to fluency, especially the Malayic or Malay dialects or variants/varieties from Sabah. 😊 What I love, like, appreciate and value about this song cover is that it is what song covers should and must be, and that is making the song your own, and Ate Eylia did it here in her song cover. She sang "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigan La" as hers or as her own, as if it was her original song, she's the original singer and her version, rendition or interpretation is the first and the original one. She made and sang it as Eylia's. 😁 For me, she less made, sang, delivered and interpreted it as if she's a native Filipina of or from the Philippines but more as Eylia Guntabid herself of or from Malaysia with respect to and appreciation for the song, its music, composition, lyrics and language, and that what's made me love, like, appreciate and value her song cover even more. ... 👋🏼😃🇵🇭 Buenas o hola, saludos y buenas tardes desde aqui na Ciudad de Zamboanga aqui na Filipinas!
