Hi, I really need some help here, My mom has a 2003 W211 E500 4 matic and the climate control panel just suddenly went blank the next time we went to use the car and the battery was completely flat.
Now with the battery fully charged again, there are no lights or digits on the ACC control panel anywhere now (it is totally dead), Normally it would come on with the ignition and display the word "Off" in white writing, but now nothing on the control panel lights up whatsoever and I even have bought another identical control panel off eBay and fitted it, only for things to still be the same :-(
I don't know which fuse controls the climate control display/control module? as the piece of paper with the fuse diagram does not seem to show which fuse is for the ACC module (control panel) and I have pulled every single fuse out of the car from all 3 fuse locations, (trunk, side of dash board and under the hood) and every fuse that I checked with my multi meter was fine and not blown.
I also have checked all the connections that go to the ignition barrel and they were all tight, so for some unknown reason the digital climate control module panel is not getting any power (this car also has the digital climate control at the back on the center console in between the front seats) and this is also dead too, so I think that there must be a fuse or relay somewhere which controls this circuit?? but I don't know where! :-(
I am really stumped here. and now with the cold, wet weather setting in, we really need the front windshield demister to work to be able to drive the car safely (which is sadly controlled via this control panel which is not getting any power).
At the time this ACC control panel failed there was a brief burning smell inside the car, like "circuit board smell" and it was also showing on the dash cluster display that the boot was open when it wasn't! - this then cleared up on its own the next time the car was started but the ACC control panel now won't power on no matter what (even when the ignition key is turned fully and the engine is running).
There does not seem to be anyone else who has had this problem as nothing is shown in Google when searching for answers...
Any help from you guys or if anyone out there knows what's wrong I would REALLY appreciate your help and advice here.

@@Noneoftheabuv I replaced the controller and it still did not work. Then I thought probably just the brushes on the fan motor.. Give it a solid whack and it began running. Then it stopped again. I opened back up and gave it a really good solid quack and it's been running ever since. In my opinion, the brushes were on the fan motor and they just need shook loose, so they can drop down and get contact reestablished. Been running well 2 weeks now
