Did you figure it out of fix it - im trying to use it with a Canon C70 and I adjusted the screw for hours and the cam still drops - sorry but this product sucks - we purchased 2 and both units do the same - way below the announced weight limmit as well - I will not recommend this to anyone - look at some of the other options out there

Thank you for the review. Can you tell me which shutter release cable fits to the BMPCC6K?

This is a great video I am thinking of purchasing this exact same setup ( Pocket 6k , sigma 18-35 and Rhino Slider)! Thank you for posting this. . . My only concern was with the focusing during slider movements when I have a very shallow depth of field. . .have you been able to keep subjects in focus using the Rhino focusing system?

Thanks for your feedback Kermit. I've used the slider extensively now, mainly for shallow interview closeups. I've found setting the 2 focus points on your start and end keyframe generally keeps the focus. With firmware update 1.05 you can also utilise the fast focus feature. Hopefully they will include the ability to add more keyframes in the future as adding even1 more keyframe between the start and end point would help a lot with focus issues.

Try adopting the Zcam s6. It’s a good pair for bm

I haven't actually used one. How do you find working with them? They look like a great option for sliders and gimbals

You mention at the end rhino say you should either have most of the weight at the back or the front....after some research it really feels like there are a lot non-finished caveats with the slider/arc system. Would you recommend this? Thinking of getting it for very precise macro movements (watch commercial)

It's a good question Tom.. We have used the slider a lot more since I shot this video. I'm going to do a follow up about camera shake. I'm still happy with the purchase but the camera shake is an issue. I would say the follow focus on the arc unit is precise (in my opinion), so should be good for macro shooting, but to limit the camera shake you will need to set the speed of the slide > than 12 seconds. Have you used any alternative options?

Have you tried using the torque motor for smoother macro stuff? I have the edelkrone V5 slider with the V3 motor an I am not happy with it and I am looking at getting a rhino setup.

@@tristancruz2806 ah Tristan I was about to buy an Edelkrone slider plus v5 with the v3 motor (and headplus) - what kind of problems are you having with it? I was going to throw a stripped down URSA mini on it but am worried about flex in the slider

Tom Staniford, so when I first got the slider and motor out of the box I set them up together and it was god awful movement. And so I spent a lot of time learning how to tune it and doing so. However there is a lack of Percision in the ways you can tune the slider and the motor and I feel like due to edelkrones design choice for the slider it creates a lot of points of tuning. All of which is annoying. One major thing I learned is how important it is that the 2 belts are dead straight and without any kinks or bends. So when storing the slider you need to take the belts off for best performance and then reattach them when you’re going to use it which is also annoying because it creates an extra step when on shoot. I came from the Ifootage system Shark Slider S1 and I quickly learned that there plenty of advantages that come from the standard slider design. I also had the headOne pan and tilt kit and I also didn’t like it aswell and sent it back. It work good Alone on like a tripod but on the slider there were a lot of vibrations that translated to the camera. For all of this I was using a EOS R by the way which is pretty light with the RF 35mm macro which is also really light.

However after having the slider and motor combo for 2 months I have finally got it tuned and importantly the tune has been sticking and not walking on me. So for shoots I have just been able to pull it out of the box and slap the belts on which is still annoying, but it kinda is smooth now. But I have been only been able to use a fluid head on it and I want a full motorized setup no just the slider. So I am sending my slider setup back to edelkrone. But I will admit that it is kinda growing on me but just due to everything else I don’t think it’s worth it for me to keep. And because I don’t have motorized pan and tilt I don’t use it as much as I would like to use a slider so then it leaves me with a piece of equipment that becomes harder to pay itself off.
