- So I switched gears from the cantilever style gate to a rolling style gate, unfortunately this setup isn’t going to be feasible either; as my span of the gate is 24’ such a long span just won’t work without some sort of metal framing material to keep it straight, the wood is just too prone to flexing / twisting at this length. The only positives that came from this is now I know what I must do-double swing gate here we come! Enjoy watching this video but be sure to NOT attempt to build this gate 🤣🤣

#1 You will not be HIRED! # 2 I Definitely admire your tenacity sir, But I'm really here for the return of the RED HOODIE!
🤣 at this point I’m just ready for this to be done. But I’m getting close.
I would put some aluminum strip on top
I don't know anything about gates, but does half of the gate slide properly? If so, could you do a double sliding gate? Overlapping Also, how do you like those pants?
The issue with it is due to the length, wood is prone to bending / twisting. There’s no way around it to use a sliding / rolling gate the frame has to be steel. A double sliding gate is a good idea but can’t work for my application. I have reverted to design 3 which is a double inswing gate, and that works as it should, just waiting on another part from Amazon for it to be done.
The Kujo yard pants are awesome, highly recommend.
Had the same issue
@@AfterAnotherAdventure I abandoned the sliding gate for now and just made double swing gates. They work ok I am going to be upgrading hinges and frames soon, one of them is twisting / leaning more than the other one.
@@BigRedServicesLLC I sold my house recently, but I was going to use a 16 ft farm gate for a sliding gate and screw wood panels on it.
