Nearly 3 years chalked up on the axe now and I'm coming back to this. you're an inspiration with this and it's good to see how you play it :)

I hate newbies and people who just play their way dictating it to us, or telling us to do this/that I've been playing about 3 years now. I know most techniques for picking and playing, I just haven't had ALL the experience to say which is best, but I prefer alternate picking fast arpeggio clean stuff, whereas fast downpicking for fast scales in metal (i.e. children of Bodom)
Yes but he's not James or Kirk. They do it their way, it's a lot easier and usually cleaner for alternate picking, as you can get faster and cleaner/accurate cause you're not straining to keep time with downpick speed :D how long've you been playing guitar?
I'll try my best, though Im not the best at solos, I've been called a "speed guitarist" by many, so i could do it with practice. I'll try to get a vid uploaded sometime soon, and I'll be sure to let you know, but I'd check with me now and again, as i may forget :S

Yeah, Its easier for me to downstroke but I dont think that people should be told how to play, they can play however they want.
