He is so thought provoking, so sincere and raw and real. This is the perspective that more churches need to preach to really help people get it. We need people to get it. Rick, I have come to get closer with Jesus by WORSHIPPING HIM and taking time out to JUST SOAK in his presence with worship music and also to SEE YOURSELF IN A PLACE WITH ABBA, I have a place in my mind when I spend that quality time and I see Jesus and me in a park like setting and we sit by the tree and relax and I have his head in my lap, most guys like to take WALKS and spend time talking to ABBA/daddy and when I go to bed I SEE MYSELF laying my head on his chest and JESUS HOLDING ME shalom
When I first understood the cross/Jesus loving me was after pondering why Jesus made up breaking bread and wine to remember him. I spent a lot of time thinking of why? I came to see this act as simple. Jesus has done the hard work, we need to come to Him and let Him welcome us to His table.
One morning as i was praying, i said something that i continuously was praying for "God please grant me Your vision of my situation, Your vision on how you look at me, pliz tell me God what do you think of me and this thing that worries me... Do you know waht happened? Something that i have never felt before, i felt "gigantic waves" of love filling me inside, out of nowhere i felt God saying "I LOVE YOU, that's my point of you and your situation". I hope you reallise first how much He loves you.

This is in response to Brooke Hill's question that I hope has already been answered! YES!!! You can and should talk to God! You don't need a middle man to talk to Him for you! Talk to Him as if He is right there with you, because He is. You can talk to Him like you would a normal person, but with respect, because He is God!! It's not a spooky thing to do, rather it should be a normal, daily activity that we strive to do! Just like any relationship you have with the ones you love, if you love Jesus/God, this is a relationship that you must nourish!!! And should want to do so! It may seem weird at first, but after a couple of times of doing it, it will become easier. In your communication with Him, don't always ask for things, but also just give Him reverence and praise, as He is the almighty, true, and living God! Be blessed!!! 😊
