Probably the most elegant waltz I’ve ever heard.
As a pianist i absolutely love this piece!
Это прекрасно 😍
wow what a beautiful song ... makes my heart move
ok I'm going to learn this to play the piano
So for some reason I thought this music was from Germany in 1940s and the guy looks German too but he’s Russian
Try arranged by florian noack
x2
2024 anyone? ❤️
bruh xDDd
Omg yo
noway
Yup
Yes Comrade.
my left hand isn't having it
Learning this piece right now and my left hand is getting wrecked since I have small hands cause I'm 14
No the problem is the right hand..
@umppee3409 I learnt it and the right hand was pretty easy for me but the left hand was a nightmare because of my small hands
@@Manbun_Carlsen I can relate to this. At least my hands are just long enough to reach an octave.
@@Manbun_Carlsenlmao me too
when your keyboard is too short -_-||
Andrei Bucatariu my keyboard only has 60 keys, I feel your pain.
Can relate ma dude
and when u don't have money to buy a simple and old piano ;-;
Andrei Bucatariu And can’t afford a real piano like a normal person.
We are all not normal!
Try playing Tchaikovksy's concerto no.1 tho. AHHHH even with the full 88 keys its a pain in the arse to jump so many octaves.
Thank you pianoReader for another visualization of my work. And of course your changes and adjustments made a lot of sense. Great job!
Thank you for this.
Beautiful
I have to say that you are a really good pianist, and that I want to play the piano as good as you one day, but now I have to go back to my piano exercise :D
у вас лучше живее как то!
Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin he's the arranger you idiot
Beethoven would love this kind of clips.... he would enjoy music with eyes...
That's actually true, i never thought about that lol
He used to enjoy music with his eyes, even in that time, because he could read sheet music.
Bethoven wold love medicin jajajjajajajajjajajajaj
DEAF
Lmao
This piece has always sounded so sardonic to me??? and i love it so much, but ive honestly never heard any happiness in the music lmao. this is what it sounds like when a recently scorned lover is cheerily destroying everything they can get their hands on
Yep. That's a shastokovich song for you.
It sounds like joy in revenge, and I love it.
It's a twisted, cynical feel and has that bell effect.
@@Jokitech- citation?
This song was made whilst Stalin was in power, Shostakovich Didn't like Stalin, now listen to his 10th symphony in E Minor.
It's because his using minor chords rarely using anything else
He isn't Harry Potter, he's Hari Pjotr.
I feel like no one got that😂
Jurij pjotr
Genrikh Goncharov would do i think. Genrikh is the Slavic version of Heinrich, which in turn has the same root as Harry. This name is rather rare and appears mostly among russian Jews and Germans, but there seems to be no other close analogue to the name Harry. Other option is Garry (see Garry Kasparov, for instance), but that name is extremely rare. Or Garik, which is an Armenian name, but who cares?
"Gonchar" means potter in Russian, so Potter would be "Goncharov" according to Russian naming traditions. It is a common surname.
"You are a wizard, Genrikh"
Harry Peter?
Gari Pjotr
listening to this at 4am thinking "This is it. This is when the Russian Pennywise comes to kill me."
I don't know how many times I've heard this fantastic peace of music. And every time it is better and better. Fantastic interpretation. Well done 😊
beautifully performed, full of energy and life, you can imagine a Russian ball room scene, everyone dressed in their own regalia dancing, reminds me of the dancing scene of the animated version of " Anastasia" just SUPERB, these composers were pure Genius's in their day and Still are, just love this, one of my favourite pieces Long Live Classical Music.
Shostakovich was a brilliant composer of the 20 century, I love his pieces, and this arrangement is amazing
it's not Shostakovich's style
This piece is part of his conventional works that he was forced to write by the codes of the USSR
That's all but Shostakovich's style and true music, here he's just crashing into power to survive ^^’
@Diogo People died during stalinism. And about 100 million people... it's just american propaganda, in real life it was something like 1 million.
HighRow dude you're naive. At least 30 millions boy
@@adriansolaris555 Can I see official documents as a proof? If u take a look at the documents that were declassified after collapse of USSR during 1922 - 1953, only 600k were killed in GULAG, we can count also deaths cause of hunger in 1932 - 1933, it's about 2 - 3 millions, u said it was 30 millions, so can I see some proofs?
@@remysnt7999 , Shostakovich was awarded by many Stalin Prizes. stop spreading this anti-soviet propaganda. This waltz was made for the movie. Shostakovich made many music for movies.
One of the finest waltzes ever created.
it feels you walk as you lost in street wonder around everywhere
Abeer Alhadi I almost got a stroke trying to read this
Exactly my thoughts. But then you see someone you know. You guys walk together and have a good talk and some good laughs.
But then he has arrived at his house and now you must go to yours.
Again alone.
Alone as the moon keeps watch over you.
And then you feel relieved and a tad happy as you arrive to your destination.
From experience it's a very hard peice to learn. It's mostly in Alto but sometimes goes into treble clef(I play cello)
Am I the only one wondering what is the FIRST waltz?
I'm the only one... huh... knew it
it went bye bye
Nope, I too, thought that 😃
Check his Suite for Variety Orchestra
Eli N.S I was thinking the exact same thing
lol
It's more like Waltz 2.0, making the Waltz 1.0 obsolete:) I think I have it somewhere on floppydisk:)
Only russian composers are able to give this nostalgia for something along with epicness
perhaps because it is the asiatic gene of kindness in them
Did i just fall in love
OMG I FOUND IT UES YES YESY YES I BEEN LOOKING FOR IT FOR YEAR OMG OMG OMG
Next time use shazam idiot.
@@Plasjewater Rood as fk
Lol i found it when i was looking up songs to play on mi trombone😅😁
Next Time when you Search a classical piece type in most famous 100 pieces or something like that. And then watch some Videos and many pieces you may know will be in the video! :)
Вы действительно выглядели, если бы на это ушел год? 😂👍🏻
This song caught me off guard. My grandma who just passed lived this song. She showed it to me years ago and when I played it for her just before she passed she was so happy and couldn't believe i knew that song but also couldn't recall how she knew it. Love you to death- and further, Abuela

My heart feels warm by listening to this...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
emily bronheart try jrnny yun. Shostakovich waltz, its the same thing but trust me your eyes will welp and ur heart will melt
emily bronheart There was no warmth in the cold war, only thing close to it was the warmth of your foe’s blood.
Korbro cold war didn't shed blood dumbass
bahahhaha
I love everything about this piece
Конечно ... Это мой друг Дмитрий Шостакович ♥️👍🏻
This song is perfect for a kid that got locked in a store and is playing with everything he finds.
zaid ventura spot on, my friend
Да товарищ😂
Thank you.
Lol thank you :)
ehehehe that may be me
I was trying to connect to my brother's bluetooth headphones but I connected to a random speaker and I have no idea where is it but I'm playing some classical pieces on it hoping whoever hears this won't mind having art in their room
J'aime énormément cette valse ! Quelqu'un aurait la partition au piano ?
I'm looping this. This is my favourite waltz so far. 😊
A versão dessa música como orquestra é linda...André Rieu fez a melhor versão
Listening to this makes me feel like I’ve just robbed from a mall in a Santa suit with a elf as helper
The more I listen, the more I appreciate this masterpiece of a piano version! ❤
i’m crying because my mom used to sing and play this for me when i was a baby
Imagine how thus would sound on a harpsichord!
HAHAHA!!!
Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin 😂😂😂
I was literally just practicing this with my keyboard's harpsichord setting xD
Shostakovich on a harpsichord? 20th century baroque.
here's the free music sheet: musescore.com/mozartandi3/shostakovich
this music is soft emotional torture: Its so beautiful it downright hurts your soul
One of the most exquisitely created Waltz-es
Imagine if Liszt wrote this....
Andrei Bucatariu no, better don't imagine
It would be far too extra
imagine if 1+fish= yellow...
this would be a beginners piece
*Piano intensifies*
IDK why, but whenever I hear this song it makes me think of an ARCTIC BASE.
Спасибо 😢😢
OK no, I'm not Russian 😢😢😢😢
Точно?
*boiling water releases a lot of pressure in the form of steam when compressed.*
Why do I feel like this could be used in Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji)
Do you think you can find a Rhapsody in Blue(Gershwin) piano arrangement?
1-up Man absolutely
Sure
This was posted a day after my 17th birthday (one of the worst birthdays of my life). I played this song at a band concert once, and it always stuck with me. How I wish I could've seen such a great birthday gift when I needed it.
what happened?
My heart is melting. I've always hated dancing and found it a horribly goofy and boring activity but when I listen to this piece, I wish I had a romantic partner so I could dance with her while we listen to this.
0:05 the sound like in #webarebear TV show
0:26 i sense pedal
Well how does Shostakovich do it. Well he uses his wand on his hands cause technically he is Harry Potter.
Who wants to know "The Second Waltz" in Russian? Второй вальс and who wants to know in Italian? Il secondo valzer and who wants to know in Spanish El segundo vals
Its so dificullt to play
can someone please tell me when do you use the pedal?
I didn't know Mari was able to play this on piano
Ling Ling.
If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly.
Underrated comment lmao

I learned the entire song and then realised I can't quite reach the final

Ouch..
Djordje Aleksić isn't there a pedal for that? I'm pretty sure many people can't reach what many pianists with overly big hands can

Probably the best piano channel on youtube! Great job man
am i the only one thinking “dark academia”?
Amazing. Beautiful. Playful.
it's like their dancing on the keys
Am I nuts or is this what inspired mama by mcr
This is the circus song

Here are some horses

In the public we have nurses

Easier than I thought when I heard it 4 years ago ❤️
I saved this in my playlist and listened to it today and wondered that somehow I hadn`t recognized part 0:41 :D
Yeah, the original video was actually fine, but it was a simple enough fix so I decided to do it
Does anyone have sheet music for this? I've looked at over 6 different sheets and they're all flat out garbage and horrible transcriptions.
I imagine a whole Russian ballroom masquerade dance and then a bloody fight with this song.
Love your chanel! Beautiful arrangments and easy to follow...Do you have tutorials for Chopin's Number 2 waltz Op 64, number 2? If you don't, do you believe you could you could make one for us? Please please! Thank you!

This kind of sounds like lady maria's theme from bloodborne

pianoREADER can you do rhapsody on a theme of Paganini (18th variation) please
How I wish I could... but I can't find a good MIDI for that anywhere :(
What do i need to practice for play the jumps of the left hand correctly?
It's 2019 dude! Where are you? We need you to keep creating piano tutorials
You do realize I only have two hands right? 🤔 😐
it's been half an hour and I learned until 1:22 on the right hand 😥
This sounds like a combination of soviet themes (duh) and Ghibli
Hi pianoREADER, can you please make a tutorial of a piece i really like?
The name: Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake - Piano arrangement.
I have the piano sheets also, i would really appreciate it.
I also can pay you something for it, if that is necessary, for the time you put in.
I hope you can or will do it, because my reading skills ar not yet so good! :)
Excelent. Bravo. Where I find this music, please? Thank you.
Đạo Nguyễn There isnt any for any piece xx
Plz how to make it easy😢
if this is the second waltz, is there a first waltz and third?
I legit tried searching “the first waltz” not long ago lmfao

Hi the tutorial is really useful! May I request the tutorial for "Seimei". the music used by Yuzuru Hanyu the figure skater used in Olympics 2018? Thank you very much!
When you want to rebuild the communist country but your girlfriend wants to go to the ball
Shostakovich was incredibly against the Stalinist regime but couldn't express as such through his music since all music was heavily regulated
Third Waltz please
What a masterpiece!
Humanly possible?
Came back after watching Eyes Wide Shut...
