Was thinking of making dedicated sim room, wasnt thinking of the black walls but i actually like the dark look. Might make it black like yours, cheers Matt.
Your lack of satisfaction with the sound panel wall basically describes my attitude towards my own sim room lol "ehhh it's not really exactly what I want but I'm too lazy to change it so it'll do for now (now being years worth of time)" 😂
Holy crap, so glad to see Derek Speare's enterprise has taken off like that! I have a "Blue Button Box of Death" from him which he graciously made and sent me a long time ago for helping out with so many BSOD's in the early days of iRacing.
For the monitor, I would suggest a desktop clap monitor mount but I bet the monitor is to heavy so the next idea is take some profile and use that to mount your monitor. Mount a post in each corner and then a bar all the way across. You might even be able to mount the camera to it as well.
Just picked up the small iRacing pack of tracks, that is amazing and will look so cool in my space, love that I found this from you. Thanks! Amazing room!
Petrol vibes have just launched “neon” track maps where the track is the light. They are available in a smaller size than their normal lit track maps. Just thought it might be something you might want to look at if their normal track maps are too big.
Great stuff here, Matt. I was just talking to my girlfriend last week about the way you set your sim room up and now you released this video. I'll definitely be taking some inspiration from this video. Thanks!
I use an Invision monitor arm for my ultrawide on my desk. Gives more room under the monitor. Will need to drill through unless you move the desk top off of the wall 😊
My guy!! Get you an internal capture card, and record on that 2080 system! You’ll get yourself some performance boost for yourself on your gaming rig…and that system will always be recording…I’m using a 1080ti and 8900k to record on obs(old Alienware) and it’s dope!
Thanks for opening your door and sharing it with us! The shappy wall doesn't convince me. I feel like I expect more from the lights. And by more, like what is going on in the stream or race, to react to it. For instance, if there is yellow flag.. or someone is in your left or right, white flag...
Great video. The racing stories this rig could tell……I’m weighing up triples vs that 57 monitor. I don’t have room for triple 32’s. Triple 27’s seem a similar width to this monitor but won’t be 4k and are more complicated to set up. Black walls for the Darth Vader’s bathroom look….
For monitors, there's moount that you can screw/bolt to the desktop itself, so there's still a "pole" but not legs taking real-estate on your desktop surface.
Great setup, really looks spot on. I have the same monitor, love it but still annoyed that even with my RTX4090 I can't get 4K@240Hz. Can I ask, do you go 1440p@240Hz or 4K@120Hz? I keep switching between the two as I am undecided which is better (only used for sim racing).
@@bmwM3M5M6 Indeed it is with the RTX4090, I set max FPS to 236 when running 1440p@240Hz and it reaches that target according to the Windows, Nvidia or Steam FPS counters. Drops off to around 200 FPS if it's night time or a large car count. If I run it 4K@120Hz I can still get around 160 FPS.
@@Wilayaat Damn that’s just wow ! And graphic settings all ultra ? I’m thinking to buy this 57” ultrawide, have now triples 27” 1080p but I only have a RTX 2070 Super so was thinking to use iRacing’s AMD FSR on performance that resolution scaling !
@@bmwM3M5M6 Majority of the settings are on EPIC (which I guess is same as Ultra) and some of the less important ones (foliage, volumetric fog etc.) I leave on MID or HIGH. Bear in mind for newer titles it would be even better as they use later versions of DLSS whereas ACC is locked to an old variant. I love the monitor, sometimes wish I'd gone triple x 27" or 32" at 1440p for the better peripheral vision but that's more space needed and more fiddling required.

Great walkthrough! Kudos to Samantha on the cam! Thanks for sharing....
1:55 The zoom in on the outlets was perfect 🤌
She was zooming in on the cable management in disbelief
@@shiftdnb Oh for sure. It's definitely what I noticed right off the bat.

Great camera work in a very dark room! Love the floating desk
Man, I’m a somewhat recent subscriber and I have been really enjoying your content! Huge thank you from up north here in Canada!
That's a dream Sim Racing room, Matt! Congrats on building it 👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely amazing dream setup Matt. Thanks for sharing!
Really nice set-up Matt. Well done.

Epic stuff well done, you can be proud of your work.. very inspiring! Love the hovering desk solution at the end of the narrow space, really cool.

Congratulations on the great remodel 🏁🏆‼️
Congrats on the room Matt, been watching for a long time and you deserve it. That is definitely the dream
I think you have the perfect amount of lighting on the wall and in the room. Great job with it.
Sick room Matt, great work!
Thanks for the shoutout. Wheels are my life 😂
Room looks great! Those picture frame shelves are awesome... I think I'm gonna have to steal that idea.

you could try small can lights on the wall above the closet to maybe shine on the impact wall better

An Ergotron HX monitor arm would be strong enough to carry the 49” ultrawide. I used one on my 49” for some time an it worked well. Not cheap tho.

great video Matt, love the room and very jealous. Makes my box room look shite! Keep up the good work!
I am considerably jealous of this room
Noice video!! I think the back wall should have everyone’s signature/screen name that has subbed to you! Something like that!
That’s really cool Matt, I am going to order those track maps. Big thumbs up.👍
Great job an track wall is super cool :)
Ordered the track maps. They look ace!
I see Road America is in the middle, where it belongs. A place of prominence :D
Beautiful 🥰 The sim rig ain't bad either
Glad for the nicest guy to be able to do what he loves! Also tried to save your marriage 😂
Track maps reglued! Great video sir. Hope you didn't spill any MELK. Holy crap has it already been two years since you moved?!
thanks, matt. Looking forward to ams tonight
Rollerblade wheels on office chair. U have my attention 😅
COOL SET UP
good work Malone fam
18:55 It's an Ant LION mic, Matt. It even has Ant LION jaws in the logo. Say it with me. Ant LION
Why aren't you using the GSI wheel? Is it a size thing? lol
May I suggest a vinyl graphic of the matt Malone graphic on the soundproof board albeit white or red
All that's missing now is a GamerMuscle bobble head, because we all know his head has the perfect shape for it.
Excellent
The screen in the office space would clear up the table and look good
Nice Matt
what size did u get the track wall art in?
Contributed to your marriage Matt😂🎉😊 love the vid!

4k@120hz. Although haven't experimented much
@Wilayaat is it even possible to push all the 240 FPS on 4K Or 1440p ?

Just here trying to save your marriage.
marriage: saved!
My 57 gets here this week, that did you use to mount the vesa to the 8020?
It comes with a mount, so just use a VESA plate right on the 80/20
@@MattMaloneTV appreciate it, thats the answer I was hoping for. So ready to be back on ultrawides and out of Vr
