you missed out the sick net play from intanon vs wang shixian (indonesian open) rally, lin dan's return of taufik's rolling net shot (once in olympics 2012, and another much older one...these are only 2 which i can remember there are many more sick ones from LD im sure), and also one or two more from intanon/wangshixian/TTY which were very sick as well. i also remember one from Sung Ji-Hyun as well. i think only net shots where there is a return of a rolling net shot with another tight rolling net shot should be included. some of those at the beginning do not deserve to be there simply because they were rolling net shots. those are too common nowadays.

I suggest you watch the average tournament game and count out of all the net shots played(and heck why not smashes, and everything else played low, too?) and see how many of those tumble over the net... Trust me, if they could consistently do it, they *would*, especially so at high levels where victory is all that matters.
I always consistently watch each of the livestreamed tournaments which BWF offers on their RUclips channel. Within every match, there are usually always 2 or 3 or more extremely good netshots. It happens in so many matches. But the reason why it doesn't happen that often is because there isn't the opportunities to get to the net and have enough time to execute a net shot like that. Only if players have lots of time and take the shuttle early, they can execute a fantastic net shot.
Are you aware of the fact that for all types of shots, it’s more about probability? Which means even for a long push to the end line, some might only have 80% accuracy while some other more trained players 90 or above. The same goes to net shots and even tumbling net shots. Just the overall probability is much lower. But not for the hands solely but the need to be in position. So the reason why it is not happening all the time is not because it’s pure luck and can’t be depended upon, and training does improve the probability of them getting such shots.
