Very interesting interview. I love hearing behind the scenes tea. I like Katie because she's not afraid to show her true self and say what she wants to say. Too many people these days are so fake and it's annoying. I would also love to see Andrew Spencer as The Bachelor. It's sad how so many people on the show end up being depressed and exhausted. Hopefully the people that run the show will put more effort into making sure that everybody is treated well and that they have all the emotional and mental health support that they need. Especially after the show.
It's fascinating how the showrunners treat different contestants, especially leads. Like Katie mentions how instrumental Desiree was, which was only shown on social media. But they seemed to spit her out once her season was done, just as Katie mentions. They didn't film Des' wedding and they don't treat her with nearly the same respect as they do Sean Lowe. Its similar with Rachel Lindsay, whose wedding they didn't even offer to televise. It seems like they'd be treating their leads and former leads with more respect.

This was a really interesting interview. The discussion of the tweet really hit me because this interview totally skips the fallout from Chris Harrison being fired. 99% of of the backlash for Chris Harrison losing his job has fallen on Rachel Lindsay. To this day she still receives online harassment and hate from people who blame her for Chris's departure. I think it was a huge miss for Katie not to acknowledge that while she shot off the tweet, the blowback fell on Rachel L. Chris lost his job because the most important part of this show, the cast, did not want to work with him. Rachel never called for his firing. Katie is the one who said she didn't want him to be the host for her season. However, the prevailing narrative leaves Katie (and Ivan and Serena, etc) out of the equation and allows Rachel to be the fall person. To not acknowledge that is a huge oversight.
So true. They didn't even really mention Rachel during that part, did they? Rachel has always deserved better and I love that she escaped their grip. But Katie should have definitely mentioned her properly.

That was my original thought but 1. I went back and looked at the set and 2. I'm almost positive the set is in Jess and Evan's garage/home? And they're redone it for Mom & Dad now, so I don't think it's the same

First time listener (came to hear Katie) and these hosts use so much of their own made up jargon I can’t even follow along🥴 make it make sense please.
But shudnt we choose a bachelor based on character and not the color of their skin? Purposely Choosing a black bachelor feels like purposely choosing a white bachelor.
When all the viewers really want is entertainment, to admire the lead we’re watching and a lasting happy ending couple. We don’t care wat color he is! That’s racist. I’m shocked that GOR has elected to cherry pick the comments they allow on their IG account announcing this interview, essentially becoming the very thing they denounce: production edits.
Their IG post announcing this interview seemed oddly devoid of anything other than positive reactions and now I know why. They block anyone who isn’t a simp for Katie.

You aren’t doing her any favors. It just makes her seem weak. Which, no matter my opinion of her bachelor performance, I do not think she is weak at all. She seems like a let me fight my own battles girl.
The lighting is really weird. The lighting seems to only come from where the cameras are located but the hosts & guests are facing sideways so they all have dark, long shadows on their faces/necks on the side furthest from the cameras. Do you have someone who can help you with lighting. It’s distracting.

Too bad Blake’s interest in helping our planet by working with wildlife did not rub off on her. Her contribution to the world is totally shallow. Nothing she says is of any importance.
I would consider entertaining people and making people laugh during terrible times as a contribution to the world. She also has given away money to people.
