Poor visibility surprises me. The big benefit of cab over design is increased visibility. I used to drive 40 foot transit buses, the visibility on those things were crazy, better than any passenger car I’ve driven since.
these Toyota vans can basically live forever. there are a lot of Toyota vans here in the Philippines that are imports from Japan, and a lot of them are in bad shape. most of them are these Hiace, Hiace Regius, 1st gen Alphard, Townace, Liteace, Estima (Emina/Lucida), and Noah. if i could even find one in nice shape and with a proper looking converted dashboard (from RHD to LHD), i would surely buy one. i suggest that you can also review mid-sized vans from Japan like Nissan Largo/Serena, Mitsubishi Delica/Space Gear, Mitsubishi RVR and more. those vans are pretty awesome, and their engines are bulletproof too.
@@lumberjaxe8910 Toyota actually sells another Hiace which isn't as glamorous as the Japanese import ones, but a more asian-oriented passenger van. those vans are the real runners here because they are sold locally on toyota dealerships rather than coming from ports (e.g, Port of Irene, Cagayan province) and auctions.
@@haru-10th I Own a Toyota Hiace Super Custom. All my Cooling system is New, Radiator, thermostat, fan clutch, water pump. Am from Australia, and yesterday i nearly cooked the Motor driving up a mountain range. These Vehicles and Toyota surfs, are renowned for heating issues. Is the stress i would rather not have.
@@lumberjaxe8910 my neighbor who owns a Hilux Surf told me he had the same issues like your Hiace Custom. that car is always on the gas station near my neighborhood, the last time i saw it, the engine was lifted. that is so horrifying, specially for a Toyota. he told me that after he got tired of it, he abandoned in his hometown because nobody wants to buy it. he bought a used 2010 Toyota Fortuner with an manual transmission and a diesel engine.
These old Japanes minivans, buses are great! Especially those luxury version of these minibuses. You know these are mostly for work... You forgot to mention the TEMS.
Great vans I’ve got too many and need to sell one soon anyone interested message me I have too many and have no space to keep them Uk available for imports
It's just a van dude, turning seats around do NOT make it a camper. Where is the stove? Where is the sink? Why the hell are oyu calling a regualr van a campet van?

I love this dude's energy! So Positive yet neutral. SUBSCRIBED!
My grandpa had a Toyota “Van” from the same era. Most of my early driving experience was driving him around. I have a big soft spot for them.
Im from trinidad and tobago and my dad had a 02 hiace and he sold it in 2018 it was a blast
I’m from Trinidad too. We had these as ‘Maxi Taxis’
I have a 2005 Nissan Elgrand 6 cylinders, 4WD (locking diff), doble sunroof, etc. Everything is powered even the back and side window blinds! 👌

Save your money on the super customs, they have serious Heating issues, resulting in Motor failure.
