Emre Can was meant to be something else, how do we still have Milner but not him? He’s beyond class

I don’t understand why people keep trying to push this narrative that mané was mistreated at liverpool. the guy just wanted a change of scenery and a new challenge.

@@tpuo2080 Ask yourself, was Mane ever going to get paid? He's on 250K at Bayern. Liverpool only offered him 150K to stay. The Liverpool fans pages and Liverpool websites decided to say Mane was greedy. He was asking for 400K.
We know that's a lie cos Salah got 350K and Mane was let go but got twisted saying he needed a new challenge and Mane decided to roll with it.
Liverpool signed 2 LWs without signing a RW in 2 years. They already pushed Mane out. Jota, Diaz are LWs.

@@MarkLaw13 I agree that I think most of our fans were stupidly reactionary during contract talks. the thing is most of those contract talks are just speculation - how do we actually know what mané wanted or what liverpool offered. I just don’t believe the club only valued him at 150k. even if that is true, it’s probably likely that the club had to choose between mané and salah. picking salah would be a completely fair choice, but people always try and paint it as if mané was disrespected or mistreated. whether the speculation about the contract negotiate is true or not, I don’t think the club mistreated him. however the fans did definitely let him down on multiple occasions.

@@tpuo2080 I absolutely agree. There is an ESPN video where it was talked about that Liverpool only offered him 150K to stay so he decided to leave.
The media decided to turn that to 400K demands and fans called him greedy.
Steve Nicol on ESPN said Mane isn't valuable. I will get rid of him and this was before the CL final.
A lot of people forget. In 2020 all the wingers in the league underperformed from Sterling, Aubameyang, you name them all struggled. Salah too did but he was on pens and he scored most of his goals in losses. They also forget the XI played but was missing Mane and they got battered 7-2. Mane got covid and when he returned his pressing was what made the team weak. He wasn't doing his Job, he looked out of it and most importantly there were no fans, he fed off them. I watched that season a saw how many chances Salah was missing, sitters, open goals. Mane was miskicking , he just kept passing in front of goal not shooting. The narrative was Salah carried Liverpool but that was a lie, that season was the first time the midfield and defense contributed to winning games more.
It was no one's fault but Mané's imo and Jota got injured too. Even when VVD got injured Liverpool were winning games when Fabinho moved to CB but Hendo kept slowing the game down cos he kept asking for the as a CB and wanted to be making those passing, then he got injured and Klopp was none the wiser he kept using midfield instead of using the guys they ended the season for us in Nat and Phillips. You saw see highlights against Madrid a see how they were missing chances left and right and so many errors.
I bring this up cos perhaps this is where Liverpool made up their mind on Mané.
Mane is the only player in the front that can use both feet to pass the ball. If it's on Diaz and Salah wrong foot they get stuck and you can see it in important games where they don't know what to do with the ball.
