So, you like the Muses02.. What are the sound characteristics this has over the stock opamp and on which headphones you tested? Lastly, tell me which op amps can fit in xduoo with the case closed..

Did you run the Burson V6 Vivid in that piece of gear? I have that in my AUNE X8 XVIII DAC and my Dual SS2590 just shipped. I am looking forward to seeing how it compares

Did you think about going ss3602, first? Or? So, also, I don't have my little capacitor leaned out of the way like yours, will mine with just the two extenders fit okay you think? Obviously with chassis off 😅 I am really new to soldering..
No! LOL I tried about 20 normal opamps before trying that beast. I think with the extenders you can install the ss3602 without messing with the cap!. The secret to soldering is using flux! Get some.
@@MichaelBruceShortbus oh okay yeah I'm just starting regarding soldering, so I appreciate the help. I hope the ss25902 stack like yours, will work also with extenders without moving cap 😅
You can technically put in a SS3602 with a riser (tried it myself) but you lose the the portability of it. I've tried a simple riser (like what he did with the Muses 02) and a 35mm extender and tried to fit the opamp in the unused space (didn't work).
If using this for desktop use, the sound it makes is goddamn fantastic. I thought the V5is were good but damn is this night/day difference. It increases the fun factor to 11 and I'm hearing things from my music which I didn't hear before. (Example in an electronic/rock heavy song, I was able to discern and clearly listen to the high hats that was subdued in the V5is)
Hi Micahel :), has it ever happened to you that the Xduoo05plus has entered the protection mode suddenly by its own? Can it be some matherboard problem? Like I have the muses 01 applied well over 1 year now, and this is the first time that it has happened. Can it be caused by a fake muses 01 opamp (I actually have no tools to find out if it is the genuine one).
Never happend for me. It's been a trooper. Might indeed be a fake Muses.
Happened to me. Cause turned out to be DEAD BATTERY. Had it plugged in to a cellphone charger to charge while using amp. Somehow it got confused and stopped charging giving no indication and went into protect while listening. The fix was unplug the usb c charging cable and plug back in. Hasnt happened ever again
Newbie here with switching op amps, but would the 2PCS Burr Brown OPA2336PA OPA2336 Single-Supply and the Dual Discrete Op Amp SS3602 work in the Xduoo XD-05 Plus? And how does each affect the sound signature? Thanks in advance.
Any of the OPA opamps should work fine. I tried the stock 1612 which isn't my favorite, tried a 2227, which is somewhat better. Never tried the 2336 though. I'd say the SS3602 would be a great option. In terms of differences, the Sparkos will have a more organic and large sound while the OPAs will be closer to clinical and linear.

Hello :), when I put the battery out will it work just from the usb power of my notebook that is plugged in the wall? Just from its "usb C in" to usb 3.0 of a notebook? And the second question, is there any difference in sound when i use two single op amps (burson v5i) or single dual (v5i)?
No I do not think it will run off USB C power. There should be no change in sound from one v5i to dual v5i.

Hey man, how would you rank opamps like the muse, Burson, Staxxato & Sparkos? I'm trying to roll 2 different OpAmps as a pair on the cheap Fx-audio tube-03..
Sparkos tops, Burson, Muse, and then chip types, TI OPA1612, etc.
@@MichaelBruceShortbus isn't Sparkos more laid back while the Burson v6 vivid more energetic & musical? Staccato is analytical? I'm not sure which ones are the most detailed. I can't decide. I can't buy all at this time to roll on my cheap preamp.

I guys I have an xduoo basic 05 I use it as a dac to listen to music on a home theater 2.1, connected to the smartphone (source). the phone as gain) ps. I know that you shouldn't turn the gain up to the maximum, but I have a doubt I think it happened even at 80% of the volume. This is the second day I use it. Help me please🙏🏻
Did your head phones explode? If not you are ok!
update, it no longer happens if I turn the gain down, but I hear pops from time to time coming from the speakers (not rustling) both at low and high volume. the sound is spectacular were it not for these audible pops from time to time
however from the headphones I hear everything perfectly

I have not tried the muses 01. I can say the Aune B1s is my new best output device. Class A.

Are the amps changeable on the new xduoo 05 balanced. Anyone tried one, bright? Good wide soundstage?
They are there are two dual channel op amps. I do not think anyone has tried it yet.

Why not replace the MUSES02, for a Burson V5i ?
I have and I prefer the Muses02 in this device and the Burson V5i in the Acmee MF01. It's all about synergy.
Have you tried the burson v6 vivid or classic?
Because v5i sounds digital and has a cheap sparkling coloration. Maybe will fool entry level audiophiles, but that's not a good sound at all as you climb the hifi ladder.
Muses is more balanced, has a mature sound and less digital without losing any details.
What's this sound like stock?
Like slightly less good.
Then why at the studios they use the most basic and cheap opamp from texas instruments?
Not sure which studios you mean, but these are for mixing consoles, Mic Pres, etc. High end studio equipment.
