Yeah, this sends a super cool message about politics in the world currently and does it through a neutral perspective. Although it may not seem like it at first, billie plays characters in her music videos. She plays off of fears of her own and enemies in her past. This video is just playing devil's advocate for all disbelievers of climate change now that the answer has become apparent due to environmental destruction. You can't hide from the fact that earth literally did this to itself. Like we are our worst enemy and the punishment for a society of self sabotaging creatures is death. From what im getting out of the song is that humanity has always been caretakers of earth and we are supposed to be saving the planet, but with the references of the fire, oil, burning forests, she is saying that the waters are going to rise due to global warming and god will want help from everywhere she can.
The way I've come to understand the part of "she'd want the devil on her team" is that she's speaking about an hypothetical girl during the dawn of the final days. Water starts rising, maybe as part of a biblical flood or as a reference to global warming causing the end of the world, but God would not accept her into heaven as it has enemies as well (those being the non-believers). Thus, she will want the devil as it will be the one that will offer her salvation. This would tie up with the idea of being in heaven unable to invite anyone as a take on the idea of God's selective salvation.

I’ve heard of Billie before, but this is the first song I’ve actually listened to. I think, as the pastor said in the video, there are a lot of concepts strung together, global warming, segregation, good and evil, etc. I think the true meaning of this song is simply to get viewers to tear down their own psychological walls and look at different viewpoints on life as a whole. The idea that, just because you believe in something different, doesn’t mean your belief is wrong. That’s just what it means to be human, that you can disagree with your friends and neighbors and that’s ok, that’s the whole concept of free will, the right to make your own choice without someone making you feel like you’ve done something wrong for following your own path.

The waters that are rising and putting parts of islands and lands under water, and gives that a "biblical" standpoint, like the water (the fires, pollution, world) will get so high and uncontrollable that even God will look towards her enemy for help. When she talks about the water rising, she is talking about how if the temperature goes up 1 °C in the next 10 years the ocean is suppose to claim most of Florida, Mississippi; and Louisiana. Yeah, this sends a super cool message about politics in the world currently and does it through a neutral perspective. Although it may not seem like it at first, billie plays characters in her music videos. She plays off of fears of her own and enemies in her past. From what im getting out of the song is that humanity has always been caretakers of earth and we are supposed to be saving the planet, but with the references of the fire, oil, burning forests, she is saying that the waters are going to rise due to global warming and god will want help from everywhere she can.
The way I've come to understand the part of "she'd want the devil on her team" is that she's speaking about an hypothetical girl during the dawn of the final days. Water starts rising, maybe as part of a biblical flood or as a reference to global warming causing the end of the world, but God would not accept her into heaven as it has enemies as well (those being the non-believers). Thus, she will want the devil as it will be the one that will offer her salvation. This would tie up with the idea of being in heaven unable to invite anyone as a take on the idea of God's selective salvation.
"She'd want the devil on her team" is god. God in this video is female, so she's talking about god. Basically, this is about climate change and how we are killing our self's. And as for the angel part, she was sent down to help mankind but realized they weren't worth saving as they would just keep doing what they are doing. Literally the whole video is about climate change and how it's all our faults. She also talks about how we beg our world leaders to change, but they wont. And when the time comes they will be begging for our help, but it will already be to late for us all. I’ve heard of Billie before, but this is the first song I’ve actually listened to. I think, as the pastor said in the video, there are a lot of concepts strung together, global warming, segregation, good and evil, etc. I think the true meaning of this song is simply to get viewers to tear down their own psychological walls and look at different viewpoints on life as a whole. The idea that, just because you believe in something different, doesn’t mean your belief is wrong. That’s just what it means to be human, that you can disagree with your friends and neighbors and that’s ok, that’s the whole concept of free will, the right to make your own choice without someone making you feel like you’ve done something wrong for following your own path.
