Queen and Slim is one of the very best movies of 2019. It's strange that it only has an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe it's a little controversial, I don't know, I don't get it. Regardless of the politics of it, it's just a great great film. It should be nominated for best picture but it will probably miss out to something like Little Women or The Farewell.
People complain about the ending being ruined. Keep in mind that these conversations at the Motion Picture Academy every year take place RIGHT after the audience sees the film being discussed.

I really really really love the movie but I hated the end. I cried in the end. I really wanted them to make it to Cuba.
