As a drummer from a very young age, I had, and still have a wide and varied love and appreciation of all types of music, styles, genres and performers. As soon as Richard’s first album hit the stores here in Australia in 1987 or so, I rushed out and bought it. I still have that album in my collection, along with every other album he released after that. They still get played regularly to this day. His music never gets old. As a television cameraman I often played Richard’s music in the news car in the late 80’s onwards on the way to shoots, sometimes to the annoyance of the journo with me at the time due to me hammering the hell out his music as often as I could. You’re a legend Richard, amazing voice, song writer and musician. Thanks for all you have given to the world of music.
