Great production with wise and experienced; young and enthusiastic. Chef provides a humble lens as well of how culinary arts affect globalization and how younger folks can know more about their heritage.
What a wonderful food vlog show I love ❤️ Colombian Food as well as Filipino Food My daughter Ericka ❤️ is Half Colombian and Half Filipina I do believe both countries have very similar experience of Food tasting VIVA COLOMBIA VIVA PHILIPPINES 😊
Thank you for opening my eye. I didn’t know there’s a lot of unique kinilaw in the Philippines. I wish you could try my favorite kinilaw. I grew up in Iloilo. My grandfather used to make kinilaw with green mango juice and coconut cream. I live in state now. Last time I when home and look for green mango kinilaw. My late father told me, not a lot of people make it anymore.
I love the way Juri speaks, the thought process in choosing which questions to ask, and of course his reaction to a good bite of food! A very entertaining and informative presenter. Great work to the team and to Juri for this series.
Wow this is, one of the best food videos I’ve seen, I was gonna say you need to meet Erwan lol ( he produced this) the ingredients used in CDO and Butuan is pure amazing 😋😋😋 next make Columbia’s version of our adobo 😎😇
The Philippines was longer a colony from Spain than Colombia was, he probably thought that Colombia was longer a colony because they still speak. Spain colonized colombia for nearly 250 years. and the Philippines was colonized by Spain for OVER 333 years...
I'm from Western Mindanao, and we use Yellow Fin tuna as our meat base. We add mango (hilaw), ginger, onion, citrus, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. Growing up, my mom has a different approach. She uses galunggong meat, and even anchovies. Mind you walang tinik ang dilis, deboned, at tinuro niya sa akin paano gawin (hassle talaga) before I left for Manila kasi she knows I like her version of kinilaw. Sadly, the main reason that I don't do kinilaw in Manila is because of the freshness of the fish that I want to use. I tried doing kinilaw not so long ago, pero di sya kasing sarap. Dahil sa freshness ng isda. Dapat talaga yung bagong huli, I'm talking same day.
As someone that was born in the Philippines and raised in the US with different cultures. I truly believe at least for me that our culture and mannerisms fall more towards Latinos then Asian

Kinilaw is big in Visayas and Mindanao.

First episode watching from this channel. I thought the host was the Colombian guy first because I didn't have headphones on 😂

I’m surprised you didn’t try the sinuglaw while you were in Cdo. I’m from Texas born in Cdo. Sinuglaw is the best in Cdo

We should both have Visa free entrance to visit both countries
i love this vlog! subscribed! 🎉
Oh yes. Filipinos have way more similarities with Latin American countries than most Asian countries like ASEAN, Japan, Korea or China.
Gensan City the Tuna Capital of the Philippines
the subtitles could be better, its tablea base not table days for eg
Ceviche is like kilawin/kinilaw from the Philippines. so maybe it really originated in Asia
Aljur di mo kami maloloko
Why do you have to hard code the subtitles? It ruins the very good production.
Viva Columbia

The accent is on the second syllable: kiNIlaw. Not kiniLAW.
So what, stop criticizing pronunciation. I bet you say a lot of English words wrong, typical pinoy accent
