4g was my easiest stretch btw and i just ordered my 2g tapers and tunnels. no i didn't just stretch i stretched in august so they are healed. i also ordered the stretching balm too. hoping it works well
Have you had any serious issues with stretching with acrylic? I want to wear acrylic plugs after I stretch but I keep hearing that it'll mess up my lobes 😖
im not 100% sure about the leaving the taper in part for the 14 and 12 gauges, but I know that she did in her earlier video back when she did it. The reason for there being just 1 taper for each size is because you use the taper to stretch the ear, but then after like 5- 10 minutes, when any stinging or pain from the stretch subsides, you put the plug in right after, then do the other ear. You really don't need to buy 2 tapers of the same size, 1 is all you need :)
Your makeup always looks so gorgeous and youre so lucky you can look beautiful with any color hair you want. If i tried making my hair this color it would look absolutely horrible on me!
i got a tip for everyone of you new "stretchers", a spiral is always easier than a "spike" as we call it in sweden. the spiral goes in easier, except from when your stretching to 22-24-26 mm! then a spike is easier! you can also stretch with silicon tunnels from 8 mm to 10 and from 10mm to 12! ive got 32 mm now and thats my pitch :) love them
that's really only if you leave the tapers in while your ear is healing, some people still use tapers at bigger sizes and switch to plugs for the healing and people say not to do that because the jump from size to size becomes larger and using a slower method such as taping is better for your ears
I'm a 0g/8mm in both ears and didn't have any problems with wearing tapers as jewellery and without using a type of lubricant. As long as you give your ears time to heal before going up you should be okay, and as long as you clean them daily (as with any piercings) they shouldn't get manky :)
When I stretched from an 10g to an 8g, It didn't hurt at all. I only waited two weeks and my ears were completely healed. They went in really smoothly and everything. My ears heal kind of fast, that and I absolutely baby them. I'm always cleaning them and taking care of them. I occasionally rotate my plugs (which I know isn't really good for your ears) so that they are at least a little loose so I can stretch them a bit easier.
most people I know have never had a problem with acrylic as long as you clean them properly and don't leave them in too long. I agree though, steel is the correct tool...
I don't understand why anyone would have the idea to skip two sizes right away but okay.... In all seriousness though, you must take your plugs or tapers out immediately and just wait for your ears to heal naturally. The healing time will depend on each person, but to quicken the process neosporin or polysporin helps to heal damaged or infected lobes. Your ears will definitely downsize and you will have to buy smaller taper and plug sizes but that's not much of a big deal, just be patient :)
Up to 8g you can, anything after that is not recommended because any size tapor after that, the weight is uneven so if you keep them in your ears will stretch weird
not tessarr, but you can stretch as much as you want to, and wear flesh-toned plugs. They sell them online in just about every size. you could probably find some on amazon c:
It's also best to listen to your body, and not let temptation or impatience take advantage when stretching ears and good luck by the way:) For smaller sizes like 14g-8g most people wait about 2 weeks-1 month to go up the next size... again it depends on how fast your lobe heals.... but once you reach an 8g, I advise that you start using the taping method and wait about 2-3 months before going to a 6g and so on with the sizes after that. Just some tips to prevent future blow outs :)
tappers do not help with stretching unless you have really small ones then the weight in the taper wont make the hole uneven cause if you have big ones then the back of the hole will be a bit bigger than the front hole on your ear
I'm currently stretching my ears as well, i bought 14g tapers to start with and then learnt you could order kits online. I'm not sure how big i want to go yet but these videos are helping me see how big each of the sizes are. But my only question is why are you skipping sizes, i was told to go 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0, 00. In order for it to go back easy. But i noticed you went straight 10, 4, 2. Should i do the same or should i stick with what i was told?
i have had 2g for about 2 months now....and i went to hot topic and got some 2g double flared tunnels....can you make a video on how to get them in because i cant get them in for the life of me
have you ever had any problems with the acrylic plugs when like wearing them for a couple of weeks? everywhere online I read that acrylic isn't good for long time use but I don't want to buy "nice" plugs until I get to 8 mm..
@mahliza vasquez For the most part, you're right. Using a taper IS better than using a plug and ripping your ear. I witnessed a friend rip the inside of her ear trying to use a plug to stretch to 5/8' of an inch. Her ear bled everywhere. That's why the tapers are only meant as a tool, not for jewelry, but for painlessly stretching the hole.
what kayla said is not true. i have two friends who were 7/16ths and one downsized to a 2g and the other downsized to 16g which is extremely close to normal piercing
tapers are reallly bad for your ears because of the uneven weight distribution, you should never wear tapers as jewelry unless you're in really tiny sizes. hope this helpped :D
Okay wow, you're NOT supposed to spin your plugs, not in a freshly stretched piercing. That can be damaging to the fistula, the inside of the hole, and can make stretching harder to do in the future.
@RayRay PandaBearr You CLEARLY have NO clue what you're talking about. Tapers are meant for the stretching process only. They are not made for jewelry. Plugs are what you wear after the stretching process. You're only supposed to leave the tapers in from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the condition of your ear. But if you use the plug to stretch, it can be very dangerous for your ear.
Ppl wait weeks to stretch? I just wait a day or two then go up a size (sometimes two sizes ) Also i don't use stretching balm. I don't have any infections or pain or scars or anything., I just go for it. Theres no ripping, and it doesn't hurt.
I would agree with you buuuuuuutttttt, no XD my ears are perfectly healthy (I wear 2g btw) and yes I know that I did it wrong so ppl don't have to gang up on me or be mad or anything (geesh) but yea my ears have no scars, tearing, or stretching that is not actually a part of the process. again, I understand that I did it wrong or whatevs but my ears are fine. ive been at 2gs for months now.
I have started the stretching in my ear how long do I have to wait until I can move up a size to 3mm and is it better if I get my other ear done as well
How long should you wait before you move up to the next size? Because right now I am a 2g, and I have a tiny blow out in my right ear because I forgot to lube my ear up, because I thought I'd be fine since I did it right out of the shower. But, how to do you treat a tear/blow out, and how long should you wait to move up to the next size, or put tunnels in? Thank you
hey tess :D i was just wondering how long did you keep your 4g in? i'm currently at a 4g right now and i'm wondering when should I go to the 2g. I've been at the 4g for about a month now.
I need help I was a 6g and then I got these tapers and he didn't know the size I was like OK so after school I decided to put them in and I struggled a lot and now I'm going all over the internet to see what size they I'm extra convinced they r 2gs but idk
Hey I'm currently stretching my ears but I've been looking at stone plugs for when I get to my goal size but can't find anywhere in the uk that does them was just wondering if you had any idea where i could get them from?
ok so i was dumb and i stretched my ear to a 12 gauge and i only left it in for about 5 days and then i stretched it again but to a six gauge since the only rings i have left are for the six gauge. but now its really sore and whatnot so i was wondering how long it would take to heal up and stop being sore?
...That doesn't justify using acrylics. They become porous over time and can sometimes be cancerous to your ears if you're unlucky enough, or anywhere you'd be wearing acrylic jewelry for that matter and causes problems later on. At least invest is some stainless/surgical steel jewelry for the healing process. You're ears are more than big enough for it now.
Yeah well they guage the size of your new plug, Seeing how large it is, people commonly call them guages but that might not be the type of jewelry it is
I waited about 4 weeks before trying to stretch but it didnt work so i decided to wait longer so i waited a week and a half more. Could me trying to stretch on week 4 be the reason ut wont work now?/:
4g was my easiest stretch btw and i just ordered my 2g tapers and tunnels. no i didn't just stretch i stretched in august so they are healed. i also ordered the stretching balm too. hoping it works well
Have you had any serious issues with stretching with acrylic? I want to wear acrylic plugs after I stretch but I keep hearing that it'll mess up my lobes 😖
In tribes in Africa they use wooden sticks... so i would prefer to use acrylic. some people can be allergic to acrylic so if you are... use steel.
Please do a makeup tutorial on this look, its so pretty !
im not 100% sure about the leaving the taper in part for the 14 and 12 gauges, but I know that she did in her earlier video back when she did it. The skin won't grow back, but it does shrink back to normal. :) anything from a 10mm/00g can shrink back :)
that's really only if you leave the tapers in while your ear is healing, some people still use tapers at bigger sizes and switch to plugs for the healing and people say not to do that because the jump from size to size becomes larger and using a slower method such as taping is better for your ears
You're so pretty I'm so jealous of you're hair
Can you make a video showing us exactly how you clean them/take care of them? From newly stretched to healed and on a daily basis? Please!
I'm a 0g/8mm in both ears and didn't have any problems with wearing tapers as jewellery and without using a type of lubricant. As long as you give your ears time to heal before going up you should be okay, and as long as you clean them daily (as with any piercings) they shouldn't get manky :)
I am currently working on sizing up to a 2g and it is the worst pain I've ever felt. I don't understand how it was so easy for you
When I stretched from an 10g to an 8g, It didn't hurt at all. I only waited two weeks and my ears were completely healed. They went in really smoothly and everything. You should do a makeup tutorial of this makeup!
most people I know have never had a problem with acrylic as long as you clean them properly and don't leave them in too long. I agree though, steel is the correct tool...
you shouldnt skip sizes!, but i just got too impatient. lol
I had 12 G acrylic tapers in for a month and a half, was just fine, and then I stretched to 10 with acrylic and still had no issues. hope this helps
I don't understand why anyone would have the idea to skip two sizes right away but okay.... Up to 8g you can, anything after that is not recommended because any size tapor after that, the weight is uneven so if you keep them in your ears will stretch weird
When I stretched mine to a zero I didn't even have to use a taper but I took them out because they stank really bad
not tessarr, but you can stretch as much as you want to, and wear flesh-toned plugs. They sell them online in just about every size. you could probably find some on amazon c:
Gauge is a form of measurement... i said 2 gauge as in the size! In NO way do i never call it gauging. STRETCHING is even in the title....
Could you make a video on how you take care of your lobes while they're healing?
It's also best to listen to your body, and not let temptation or impatience take advantage when stretching ears and good luck by the way:) For smaller sizes like 14g-8g most people wait about 2 weeks-1 month to go up the next size... again it depends on how fast your lobe heals.... but once you reach an 8g, I advise that you start using the taping method and wait about 2-3 months before going to a 6g and so on with the sizes after that. There's no need to be rude. There's no need calling her stupid. If you don't like her videos, gtfo her channel then.
I was wondering at what size you should stop stretching when looking for a job
When did you decide to get your septum pierced? I absolutely love yours.
THANK you Now I finally know after tons of research that I'm going up to a 2 gauge. :)
Can you do a tutorial on your look here? Beautiful.
I think she knows that, but i think she is just recommending it and saying that it would be better to use the balm
I enjoy your videos, they're easy to follow and you explain each step really well.
Love your hair like this! Makes me miss my colourful hair :(
Do you get bored of having the same color plugs all the time? I know stretching kits are cheaper but I was wondering if you ever get bored of white
i have had 2g for about 2 months now....and i went to hot topic and got some 2g double flared tunnels....can you make a video on how to get them in because i cant get them in for the life of me
@FrightSuicide well youre not really suppose to wear the tapers as jewlery you just use them to stretch your ears
you got to be kiding me, i streched my ear from 0 to 8mm in maybe a week..what heeling proces, next day you can already strech more.
Like she said, if you leave the gauge in for a while it will go through so much easier!
I'm on my way to stretching to a 2G, I'm at 14 right now. I didn't want to go too big for now :) I love that Gauge Gear balm!!
Love your look
have you ever had any problems with the acrylic plugs when like wearing them for a couple of weeks? everywhere online I read that acrylic isn't good for long time use but I don't want to buy "nice" plugs until I get to 8 mm..
Love the hair colour

Please could you do a tutorial for this eye makeup? X
I went from a 16gto a 12g with almost no pain and didn't wait 6 weeks. They were fine
I love your bracelet Tessa!
i love your hair! what is the brand of dye you use?
what kayla said is not true. i have two friends who were 7/16ths and one downsized to a 2g and the other downsized to 16g which is extremely close to normal piercing
tapers are reallly bad for your ears because of the uneven weight distribution, you should never wear tapers as jewelry unless you're in really tiny sizes. hope this helpped :D
I always stretch up a size when i'm taking a shower! Not once has it ever hurt my ears and i'm currently at a 0g
you are so cute! i love the colors of all your earrings!
What lipstick are you wearing in this video? I love it! :)
Wow that looks really easy! Thanks!!!
Your nails are so cuteee!
your hair is amazing
@selenafan4eve tapers are NOT jewelry they are a stretching tool.
Ya, any size below 00g or 1" will eventually shrink back to normal
Is it bad that I stretched from a 14g straight to a 2g without like buying smaller ones and slowly stretching I just bought a 2g and put them in.
do you use the stretching balm everyday when cleaning your ears?
1. It's called stretching.
2. Age doesn't matter.
3. Be safe about it.
4. Have fun.
5. Do your research.
You are like the definition of perfection....
you're so pretty and i LOVE your hair!!
When you stretch to a 0g, can you go back to a 12g? Downsizing?
I stretched mine to an 8G last week and its been bleeding occasionally and its kinda red. Any advice on how to maybe help them heal less painfully??
I am buying the blue version of everything u have
0-00 g at the most cause worst you can take them out and they will heal up to a normal size earing or fairly close
Okay wow, you're NOT supposed to spin your plugs, not in a freshly stretched piercing. That can be damaging to the fistula, the inside of the hole, and can make stretching harder to do in the future.
your ears seem to heal sooo perfectly it looks like...
Guys... Thus is NOT TEssars real account.
I waited 5 days to stretch from 4g to 2g. It hurt a little more so im waiting a month or two to get 0g which is the worst stretch
@RayRay PandaBearr You CLEARLY have NO clue what you're talking about. Tapers are meant for the stretching process only. They are not made for jewelry. wow why are people so rude on here? CLEARLY you have body mod experience and know what you're talking about...ridiculous
Ppl wait weeks to stretch? I just wait a day or two then go up a size (sometimes two sizes ) Also i don't use stretching balm. I don't have any infections or pain or scars or anything., I just go for it. Theres no ripping, and it doesn't hurt.
then you aren't stretching the right way
Meh. Maybe not but my ears are fine, I've never been in pain and never had an infection. Im @. 6G right now, theyve been at 6g for two, three weeks
La'Keysha Fairley there isnt a "maybe not" about it. you ARE stretching the wrong way. no ifs ands or buts about it
your stretching in a terrible way in the long run your ears are going to look gross and deformed you have to be patient and stretch slooowww
I have started the stretching in my ear how long do I have to wait until I can move up a size to 3mm and is it better if I get my other ear done as well
im at a 4mm on one ear and 3mm on the other, im planing to go up to a 12mm or larger it depends on how i like it.
No, she just films her stretching one ear. She does the first one prior to filming.
YOU ARE SOOOOOO PRETTY!!!!!!
is a water based lube ok, iv been useing it and it seems ok to me.
i wish it was that easy for me, i waited 6 months between 4g and 2g and it stung so bad
Goal size is a 00g/10mm hopefully :) il make a makeup tutorial aswell for you guys
How long should you wait before you move up to the next size? Because right now I am a 2g, and I have a tiny blow out in my right ear because I forgot to lube my ear up, because I thought I'd be fine since I did it right out of the shower. your ear piercings are so cute!
hey tess :D i was just wondering how long did you keep your 4g in? i'm currently at a 4g right now and i'm wondering when should I go to the 2g. I've been at the 4g for about a month now.
¿How many time you wait until you get to the next numbrer of ear stretcher? (Sorry if my english is bad, i am mexican LOL)
Love your makeup look in here c:
then how are you supossed to stretch your ears?
I need help I was a 6g and then I got these tapers and he didn't know the size I was like OK so after school I decided to put them in and I struggled a lot and now I'm going all over the internet to see what size they I'm extra convinced they r 2gs but idk
You're not supposed to turn your plugs in a freshly stretched piercing.
I'm stretching my ears and my ears won't stretch unless I put the tapers inside hot salt water its so weird
Hey I'm currently stretching my ears but I've been looking at stone plugs for when I get to my goal size but can't find anywhere in the uk that does them was just wondering if you had any idea where i could get them from?

I love ur hair!! And i cant wait to see what other hair colors yhu gonna do !!
Yeah well they guage the size of your new plug, Seeing how large it is, people commonly call them guages but that might not be the type of jewelry it is
i love ur hair! thanks for the advice!:) im at a 12g:)
how many times do you change ur hair a year
I waited about 4 weeks before trying to stretch but it didnt work so i decided to wait longer so i waited a week and a half more. Could me trying to stretch on week 4 be the reason ut wont work now?/:
iv heard its ok, but also my friend told me to try a water based lube and it seems ok to me
