We went to Seemari village, the last settlement along the India-Pakistan border, from where you can see Pakistan and its inhabitants. There is only a river in the midst of the village, and there is no fencing. Journalist Rohit Upadhyay discusses the village's history and how it split into two, with one part going to Pakistan and the other to India.
In order to understand their issues and means of livelihood, we also chatted with the locals, who shared with us some fascinating tales of how they used to travel to the other side and receive visitors from there.
