Methane is a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO2, and human sources from industrial activity are substantial and frequently underestimated. Methane flaring fails to combust methane fully, and venting not at all. By more thoroughly combusting methane from industrial sources, society can more quickly and at a lower cost achieve swift reductions in methane emissions.
