    YOU ROCK SIR! Just ordered the exact same setup. Already bought some -18 and it was super frogged. Sold those and started searching again. Found your video and was amazed that I finally saw exactly what I had in mind. Thanks again. 🤙💪

    Picking up new truck this Monday. Method wheels and Toyo Open Country RT Trail 37x12.5x17 E2 tiresinstalled Tuesday. Will be using the ziptie method as shown on this video for clearance. Definitely will be posting some videos on all of the changes, weights, measurements, etc along with other accessories. Soon after that installing Thuren front 1-1/2” suspension with Fox 2.0 IFP and track bar. Then the Thuren Dual Rate Rear Coils, 1-3/8” shim kit, Fox 2.0 IFP and rear track bar. Then go from there.

    Thank you so much for the video. Since watching this video two weeks ago I've updated my 2021 RAM 2500, crew cab with 37" TOYO's and the same size rims as you used. My truck looks absolutely fantastic. I did use a BDS 2" leveling kit with adjustable track bar with Fox 2.0's and I did use the AEV calibrator. Thanks, Navy Mark...

    Great video. I love the trick with the zip tie to the fender lining. I was contemplating 37s on my new Power Wagon, but didn’t like the cutting on the fender liner. That looks awesome.

    Was going for 35 because I didn’t like the idea of cutting the plastic but after seeing how you did yours I am going with the 37. Keep watching and you will learn more tricks

    Rocky, I know you’ve moved on from this truck, but would this wheel/tire package work on a 2022 3500 with a 2.5” Carli Level, the basic Carli level?

    I ordered an F-350 Tremor this time. I just couldn’t justify $80k+ this time for an outdated 6-speed tranny and the dimensionally-old cab. I like how the Ford Powertrain performs compared to the Cummins/6-speed combo. When Ram comes out with a true 5th Gen HD truck, I could go back. Ive liked all of your truck setups that you’ve had on RUclips. I liked your older mega cab with the 22s the best though.

      They both have pros and cons. I had a 2020 king ranch with 37’s. It was a nice truck and the 10 speed was great for towing. For me the ram just has better tech. Lane assist is one but the charging location for phone and that it starts my pandora without having to connect a cord or go through menus is a plus for me. I really like the Ford power train but also tired of the same interior. I am not docking the Ford at all it is a amazing truck. Ram just has a few more items I like.

    Seen in previous video you had to run the carli radius arms to keep from rubbing on 35’s on factory wheels. So with the +18 off set could you run 37’s without the carli radius arms?

      @RockyRohde  Год назад

    How do you like the megacab v. Crew? Notice any turning difference (room required)?

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  2 года назад +1

      Mega cab is a long wheel base.. All of the trucks purchased I have always had zero regrets for the space. Storage behind and under the seat. The crew will turn a little better but the difference is negligible if your not parking in the city everyday.

    Why did you go with an Icon lift instead of the Carli like last time? How does the ride compare?

      I have a 3500 srw with HO and air suspension ordered. Should be d1 next week. I have ordered the Carli pintop for air suspension and sulastic shackles for it also. The icon was available at the time so I went with it. To me it’s a bit stiffer than the Carli. The deaver springs with sulastics should be a nice ride.

    I very much appreciate the work and research you do and how well you discuss the salient points. In that regard, I need the best tonneau cover for my 2021 1500 with Ram Boxes. Can you share what you settled on and why?

      Retrax.. they seal better and work better. They do take up more space and cost more but I ordered a powertrax for my 22 with ramboxes

      @@RockyRohde Thanks for the quick response and recommendation. I'm not sure I want a powered cover and an extra key fob to keep track of but really like what I've read so far as to the retrax quality, etc. I did see a note in the installation guide that due to the nature off the Ram boxes they can't completely seal the bed so they are sending extra weatherstripping to use as you see fit. I'm going to search videos to see if I can find anything else on that topic. Have you had a Retrax before? If so, any particular reason to go powered cover versus hand pulled?

      @@RockyRohde Thank you! I have a 19 Ram 2500 Limited with stock wheels and tires. I am wanting to run 35's with 20x10 or 20x9 with a leveling kit and still be able to park it in the garage. My door is 7ft tall. With stock wheels and tires, the shark fin is about 4.5" from the overhead door frame.

    GREAT VIDEOS! I am just about to custom order a 2500vs3500. I am torn between the coil and spring pack ride difference. If the dealer would have these on the lot with air rides I could test drive myself but they dont. I will be towing a 5th wheel and shouldnt be over 16k so I feel the 2500 would be good for that. So it just comes down to ride quality. It will be my daily and I will only be putting a leveling kit on it. What are your thoughts?

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  2 года назад +1

      Get the 3500 with Cummins high output. Pulling will be way better without coils. My payload on 2500 limited is 1700 pounds. With a 5th wheel you will be maxed before you add people. You will have to add airbags and it will feel like driving on a mattress. A 16k fifth wheel will have 8-10% tongue weight which is prob around 1500 plus your hitch weight prob another 150 at least. If you add 2 people at 150 pounds it will be maxed. The high output is another reason to go 3500. Night and day difference. My standard output struggles a little with Toy hauler the HO does not even downshift and pulls like a train.. I buy a lot of rams and if you were pulling a small tongue pull trailer with less than 1000 pound tongue weight it would be great. If you don’t get the mega limited and get a tradesman 2500 payload can be closer to 2100 pounds. My opinion is a 2500 will leave you with regret. I currently have my 3500 HO on order. This is just my opinion so I hope it helps.

      I ordered the 3500 with air suspension single rear wheel. Carli pintop 3” with King shocks and deaver rear springs. I also ordered the sulastic shackles for the springs. All adders maintain factory payload and will make the ride much improved. Check out RUclips for reviews on these Carli kits on 3500 trucks with air suspension.
