first thing to try before considering drastic action like surgery is a saline nasal rinse & make sure you do it regularly (this reduced my sympton by around a half to a third making them quite a bit more manageable) - you can also add other things to the rinse like xylitol, iodine, garlic oil, apple cider vinegar & so on - personally I use a "navage" to do the rinse for the convenience & thoroughness of rinsing - then if necessary add in a daily steroid nasl spray although I'm not overly keen on this long term as it may be very hard to stop using it due to the rebound effect - one other thing worth mentioning is that even if you CT scan looks OK (eg your sinuses are not clogged up) this does not mean there could not be other issues like your turbinates swelling up at night which would not show up on a CT scan

DON'T do ANY nasal surgeries UNTIL you've researched and tried EVERYTHING!
Because doctors are only in it for the MONEY. All the doctors have to do is say you had the surgery and he/she removed a "polyp" or "scar tissue", give you antibiotics to go home with and 3 months later the Sinus Infection comes back. So, you went through an unnecessary and costly surgery and you are right back where you started.
I've read someone's comment on another RUclips channel and this person said they had already been through 2 sinus surgeries, the same thing - surgery/antibiotics/3months later/sinus infection comes back. This poor person was told by their doctor to consider a 3rd sinus surgery!!!
If you want to waste your money, send it to me. Lol. I'm sorry, I'm not really laughing at the poor person - just the insaneness of the situation. I've left detailed suggestions, hopefully, they'll see it in time and try out the suggestions first BEFORE any more surgeries.
I, myself, have had Chronic Sinus Infections EVERY year since my early 30's and it got progressively worse in my 40's. By worse, I mean, several times a year rather than 2 or 3 times a year. I also had numerous other health issues once I hit my 40's and by my late 40's - my health just deteriorated so much - I was at my wit's end. The doctor's I went to see, just threw pills and steriod shots at my health issues - no help from them.
Until, I just type in the computer my symptoms and "Celiac Disease" just kept coming up. I requested a Celiac Disease blood test from my doctor and the results came back positive - it was the answer to ALMOST all of my poor health issues. The rest of the answers/solutions to my health issues was helped TREMENDOUSLY by changing my diet and adding daily vitamin/mineral supplements.
💖💛💚Here are my suggestions to alleviate or eliminate Chronic Sinus Infections:💖💛💚

      1. To get immediate relief from the sinus pressure that is causing your headaches and facial pains - is to STEAM your nasal passages several times a day.
      2. Eliminate DAIRY completely from your diet - as much as you can or completely - or at least until the infection is completely gone.
DAIRY is VERY mucus-forming and this EXCESS mucus gets in all those nasal and facial cavities/passages and causes you pain/pressure.
      3. Eliminate GLUTEN completely from your diet - as much as you can or completely - or at least until the infection is completely gone.

GLUTEN is also VERY mucus-forming and this EXCESS mucus gets in all those nasal and facial cavities/passages and causes you pain/pressure.

      4. Eliminate SUGAR completely from your diet - as much as you can or completely - or at least until the infection is completely gone.
SUGAR is causing the EXCESS of YEAST/FUNGUS in your nasal and facial cavities/passages, along in the other areas of your body too.
💙🧡💛This YEAST/FUNGUS (from sugar or SUGAR in processed foods) is settling in those nasal and facial cavities/passages and causing INFECTIONS (bacterial/virus) to happen and this is causes you pain/pressure.💛🧡💙

      5. Research about taking Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2/MK-7 and Magnesium and how a LOT of us are very deficient in these vitamins/minerals and how it is affecting our overall health. These vitamins/minerals are also beneficial to bring down any inflammation in your body (i.e. nasal and facial passages) and gives your body a chance to FIGHT the sinus infections.
      6. I, personally take 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 daily, (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90 mcg daily, (1) Magnesium Malate 425 mg X 2 times daily, and (1) Vitamin C 1000 mg daily.
💖💛💚Since doing all these STEPS, I do not have chronic sinus infections anymore for about 10 years now.
BUT recently, my husband has had a bit of a sweet tooth and brought home (TWICE within 2 weeks!) a WHOLE cheesecake (cake) and I had too many slices.🙁😭 I blame the recent change of weather, it's colder and HIM too, for his sweet tooth - and yes, me too - it's hard at times to stay away from sugar at times.😣
The EXCESS sugar in my body caused me to have some AWFUL nasal and facial pain that I've had to STEAM several times a day and to go back to not having any sugar again. The facial and nasal pains have subsided but I STILL need to be vigilant and stay away from any SUGAR for quite awhile.
I hope ALL of this information is helpful to you on YOUR journey to good health and alleviating/eliminating AWFUL sinus infections😊💖.

Now this is all my opinion because I was suffering through bad breath and found MY cause of it.
So, it's possible you MAY have "Tonsil Stones" and this may be causing your bad breath smells. Research about it online. Everyone can get them and they can go away on their own BUT sometimes if your body is not in good health and your eating (DAIRY/Gluten and Sugar) that promote more MUCUS- then it can be a recipe for "Tonsil Stones" that won't go away. DAIRY is one of the BIGGEST contributors to EXCESS mucus. So till you can get rid of your bad breath STAY away from DAIRY completely or as much as you possibly can.
I, personally, have to periodically "push or nudge" the "stones" out of my tonsils. How I do this "pushing or nudging" of the stones - I take a brand new CLEAN pencil with an eraser tip and I sterilize the pencil and eraser tip with an alcohol wipe - then I use the "ERASER tip" as my "nudging tool" to push the tonsil stone out of the tonsils. When I feel that there's no more "stones" in my tonsils - I rinse my mouth with water a LOT and then I use a little bit of hydrogen peroxide mixed with water to cleanse any of the bad bacteria out of my tonsils.
FIRST, research online to see if "Tonsil Stones" sounds like what you might have that is causing your bad breath. I hope this information helps you in your journey to good health and CLEAN BREATH.😊💖

People should always, ALWAYS try to fix their sinus problems with everything else before surgery. Surgery might be the only thing that helps---but make sure it is because that is a very touchy area to operate. Your sinuses are very close to your optic nerve and your brain---you could end up with permanent damage. Look up the term Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is often caused from sinus surgery.

I hope ALL of this information is helpful to you on YOUR journey to good health and alleviating/eliminating AWFUL sinus infections😊💖.

Same here. I typically have one sinus infection per year. I've had three since January. Three rounds of antibiotics and then they put me on outpaitient IV (antibiotics and steriods). I felt better for about a week and then started feeling horrible again a few days ago.. It's hard to hear, hard to think straight, hard to function and sapping all my energy. CT scan tomorrow. I'm taking matters into my own hands and eliminating wheat and dairy beforehand though. Let's get better. :)

Oh man, I feel for you. I had chronic sinus infections since my early 30' until my late 40's, almost 20 years.
I had to research and research about "curing" the sinus infections and all my other health issues because the doctors I went to only threw pills/steriods at my health issues and they only made it worse. I finally got answers for myself with all the research I did and was able to get a lot of my good health back AND eliminated chronic sinus infections for about 10 years now.
Check out the other replies I answered on this page about how I did it. To sum up here: Eliminate DAIRY/Gluten and SUGAR completely, or as much as you possibly can from your diet. Start taking Vitamin d3 daily, Vitamin k2/MK-7 daily and Magnesium daily. So check out what I wrote to the other comments on this page to get the dosage amounts. To your good health.

Fari Naz Right. In my case the scent goes and comes but when it comes it stays for a few hours and when I smell it it does mix with the regular scents so it is affecting my sense of smell and my quality of life because I can’t smell properly obviously. I’ve had this going on for about 2+ months or so. I’ve always had a hard time breathing and one nostril is always either fully blocked or partially so I can’t breathe properly especially at night. I also have post nasal drip while I sleep which typically causes me to wake up choking. Antibiotics have not helped me. When I caught the flu I think the infection must have went to my lungs because I keep crackling when I take deep breaths. I really didn’t want to get the surgery but I got a CT Scan and the ENT says I have a Deviated Septum, a Conchae Bulosa and enlarged turbinates. I’ll update as I go along.

Except when people resort to surgery to open up these sinus passages they generally only get temporary relief then worsening of symptoms. Best explanation I have heard was that this keeps reoccurring because our immune systems are compromised (possibly by vaccines or other drugs etc) and not able to balance out the fungal pathogens. Planning on starting an iodine protocol to correct this soon..

@@silvergirl7810 DON'T do ANY nasal surgeries UNTIL you've researched and tried EVERYTHING!

BUT recently, my husband has a bit of a sweet tooth and brought home (TWICE within 2 weeks!) a WHOLE cheesecake (cake) and I had too many slices.🙁😭 I blame the recent change of weather, it's colder and HIM too, for his sweet tooth - and yes, me too - it's hard at times to stay away from sugar at times.😣
