These tutorials are so amazing Oliver :) perfect for intermediate AE users. I think you would benefit from making a beginner series to help bring people up to speed with these. Also think you could click bait people more 😄 by making tutorials that solve common practices in AE
Thanks Mark! You are right about making a beginner series, I will look into that. I could clickbait for sure, but I find it much more pleasing to just play around with some animation concepts and come up with different animations. Right now I'm growing at a decent rate, so I don't want to ruin all of the fun for a few more viewers, but thanks for the tip!

I'm Having issues with the set Mask Path it is not creating the proper mask. It just creates a weird shape? I am following the video step by step?
If set matte doesn’t work, you can try using the alpha matte instead. If you are not familiar with this, try searching for “after effects alpha matte” on RUclips, and you should be able to find an answer 🙌
Can you explain the purpose of this expression.
toComp(value) ;
It makes the start and end value stick to the shape, when it’s position is animated. Otherwise they will just stay at the same place, and the cc bend it will crop the shape as it moves.
